Pulled pork dinner with tator wedges and Mac and cheese
    Tommy V.

Honestly my new favorite place in the Wichita area! I came in Saturday night to pick up some dinner, and was created with staff that was so nice! Very welcoming and had a family feel to it. The food was incredible, and there was so much! Plus it was so affordable. The BBQ sauces are to brag about. Every side I really enjoyed. I got the Pulled pork dinner, and I liked it a lot! It wasn't dry at all, and had a lot of flavor. I can easily say that I'll be back MANY more times.

If you do come to Wichita/Andover and you do not try this place, you're doing a disservice to yourself!! This place is exceptional. Theme is America. Space is cozy. The owner/BBQ master came by and greeted us. He told us how they have fresh marinated meats and how his wife shucks the corn herself for the corn pudding! We got Burnt Ends Dinner and the Pulled Pork Sandwich. My boyfriend said it the "best burnt ends" he's ever had and I absolutely agree! All the meats were tender and the taste is incredible. Sides were just a bonus! Corn pudding is sweet "corn-bread in pudding form" with pieces of corn in there. Definitely a must-try. Pasta salad had the right amount of tang to it. We will definitely be coming by here next time we're in Wichita and having a BBQ craving.

Came in for some Saturday lunch and was greeted by Boone the owner. We sat down and ordered the two meat plate with ribs and brisket. It comes w lots of sides choices so we had the coleslaw and bbq beans. We also had a taste of the corn pudding. One word for all....? DELICIOUS!!! The meat was perfectly seasoned and just right portions. The cole slaw was freshly cut and perfectly dressed. The bbq beans seasoned just right not too spicy or mild. Finally the corn pudding was like a veggie dessert. Sweet and tasty. Fantastic service conversation and food. What more can you ask for ??? We will be back on our next trip through town!!!!

Stopped in on our drive home to DFW after checking this place out on Yelp! Walked in and met Boone himself who is the Pit-master. After some cot chat Boone brought out samples of their house made Corn Pudding and the Burnt Ends. FIVE STARS. However we ordered our m Smoked Brisket and Baby Back Ribs. Awesome once again! Five Stars. Garlic Coleslaw was also Five Stars! This is awesome food made with quality meats and produce. If you're traveling south on I-35 through central Kansas, be sure to stop at this place for lunch or dinner. Boone knows what he's doing in the kitchen!!

Just for starters, Boone Pickins is in a small Plaza and their sign was damaged, probably by the weather. So if you don't see their shop right away, don't give up. Friendly greeting and service made the visit like able. Burnt ends dinner, okra & beans was one choice end the Master Spud with pull pork was our other choice. The meat was spot on excellent. The cornbread was left in a minute or two longer then maybe needed and bake beans were average, but neither of those oops would keep me from returning

The food is good, flavors blend well together...They are on the pricy side... but it is fast and near by.

The Kitchen - Second day open and I'm in love with this place. French onion soup and the sweet potato/black bean salad were fabulous.

It felt decent out so the outdoor patio was a nice ambiance. No angry geese were included. It seemed as most things on the menu were pretty simple, but simple is good. I had the grilled cheese because who can pass up a good gourmet grilled cheese. While hard to mess up, it was done well and had plenty of cheesy goodness. The desserts looked quite tasty and will have to try them next time!

They shared with me what beverages they have available, and I chose the house made lavender lemonade. It was absolutely the right choice and delicious. I then proceeded to order the Cajun pasta with shrimp, side, salad with ranch, and the seasonal pumpkin spice, crème brûlée dessert. The side salad was a great portion. The ranch dressing was a little watered down. The Cajun pasta was beautifully flavored and robust. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the shrimp was delicious. It does come with tails. The bread they serve it with is so fresh! (Make sure you check your teeth after. There are a lot of spices). The pumpkin spice crème brûlée was served cold and creamy, with a perfectly crunchy, crisp top layer to make it a classic crème brûlée with a flare. My only complaint was that when I was greeted, I was not told it was happy hour and it was assumed that I didn't want an alcoholic beverage as I was not asked or told. Overall, Atlanta and Savannah did great! Thank you! Please reference photos for all the yumminess!
