Our dinner tab - everything was perfect and delicious. What a treat for our first night in Boston!

It was our first time in Boston. We accompanied our eldest to get settled in Boston as he begins his residency program at Tufts Medical Center in mid-June. Dinner at the wonderful restaurant was our way to celebrate his achievements. It seems like a very popular hangout for locals and has quite a lively evening vibe. The service staff were attentive and friendly. The Tapa style menu is a great way to enjoy fine food with family and friends. Wonderful experience overall. Highly recommended as a self-proclaimed foodie who appreciates delicious seafood and well-prepared dishes. Don't believe me? Look at all the dishes we ordered that night LOL

This is a great tapas place to go hang with a group of friends, have some drinks and share a few plates of very good Spanish tapas style food. I have 4 stars for food and service only because I have had much better before. We had theee different servers rotating throughout the night and that took away from a consistent service feeling. First waiter was not very good, didn't make any suggestions and couldn't remember orders. The sangaria was super weak / watered down, so skip that. Crispy sliced Iberico pork was very good, and so was the skirt steak with chimichuri sauce. Chocolate basque cheesecake was a perfect way to end the night.

I've been to a couple of other Boqueria locations and it's always a great spot for Spanish tapas and paella. This time we were walking around Seaport and decided to get dinner here. Between 4 people we shared the patatas bravas, calamari, garlic shrimp, meatballs and seafood paella. Everything was delicious but I especially loved the calamari which was super tender and very lightly breaded and the paella which had a ton of seafood including octopus, monkfish, clams, squid and shrimp. I'm not a huge fan of paellas where the rice is on the more al dente side but this was just perfect with plenty of crispy rice on the bottom of the pan. The garlic shrimp with bread also deserves a shout out! Dipping the bread in the garlic oil topped with shrimp was such a great bite. The ambiance is nice without feeling too stuffy and i'm always happy after a meal at Boqueria!

My party of 4 ordered the pan con tomate, tortilla española, croquetas de setas, bruselas con vinagreta ibérico, gambas al ajillo, croquetas, albóndigas, and 9pc churros clásicos w all 3 sauces and I ordered the naranja wine and Happy Ending drink -- TASTE: 3/5 - I wanted to be more wowed! Highlights included the croquetas, roasted brussel sprouts, and beef & pork meatballs. Loved my drink, would've gotten another TEXTURE: 4/5 - enjoyed the tomato sauce paired w crisp bread and fried croquetas, though wish the churros were a little chewier vs too crunchy PRICE: 3/5 - total came to $80pp SERVING SIZE: 3/5 - obviously tapas-sized portions, but I was still expecting a little more than what was presented, like the tortilla española and shrimp dishes SERVICE: 4/5 - was relieved I could still make an OpenTable resy the night before. Arrived on time at 7:30pm on a Saturday night and waited a few minutes for our table to be ready. Drinks came out fairly quick and all of the tapas were served over a 45min period ATMOSPHERE: 5/5 - sleek hip place w an energetic atmosphere. Larger space than I expected too PARKING: 4/5 - got a metered street spot on Congress St x Farnsworth St

The worst meal of our stay in Boston was at Boqueria. With good reviews from Yelp, we went there with high expectation. Unfortunately our experience was not similar to most of the reviews. We ordered anchovies, crispy potatos, skirt steak, and seafood paella. Dishes ranged from terrible to ok. The worst dish wad the skirt beef steak. It was not prepared properly. Connective tissue was not trimmed out. Every piece was extremely chewy due to the tissue. We actually had to split out almost every slice of beef, not possible for chewing nor swallowing. The anchovies were very thin and lacking flavor. The crispy potatoes tasted ok. The seafood paella was the best tasting dish. However the advertised monk fish were missing in action. Out of four mussels in the paella, three were not opened. We tried to open them with our knife, but the shell broke into pieces. Those mussels should not had left the kitchen in a signature dish. Our waiter kept ignoring us. Water was not refilled and never checked to see how we were doing. This actually was one of the worst dinning experience in several years for us.

Me and my husband ended up making reservations here. It was really busy throughout the city so we ended up not being able to get any seating until really late but I guess that's what happens when you don't make reservations on a Saturday. The waiter was great, the host was really nice to us, but let's get down to the food. The food was phenomenal. We got a whole variety of food. We got a couple drinks. All of them were great. We had a salad the wings. And the paella. Which takes an hour to come out so we definitely had more items. I just can't remember but everything that we got was really good. I wasn't a fan of the wings, but my husband was so maybe that's just preference. The vibe in the restaurant is really good friendly and Just a good spot to have a date

Food: WOW! Their tapas were amazing. Best spot I have ever had in Boston. We ordered 4 among the 3 of us and it was the perfect portion. I will be dreaming about all of them!!! Service: Tapas were pretty fast! Service was good. No complaints. Ambiance: SO clean inside! Bathrooms were super clean, lots of space to put coats and stuff too. Loved the interior design as well.

Maybe I've just gotten a bit too used to Barcelona Wine Bar... because I wasn't quite as impressed with Boqueria. It's a convenient spot with a bunch of menu offerings, though, so it's still a good place for groups. The restaurant itself was pretty nice, clean with modern decor, and the service was typical for a restaurant of this caliber. However, the food just wasn't out of this world to me. One of the highlights was my shrimp dish - always love dipping my bread in the leftover oil. Not sure I'd go out of my way to come back, though, given I prefer some of the other tapas options in Boston instead.

Fantastic! This is one of those high quality/low quantity tapas places... My husband and I came here for dinner. We started with the manchego cheese, truffle goat cheese and chorizo. The cheese melted in your mouth and the chorizo had excellent flavor! The slices of bread that came on the charcuterie board were amazing as well; I wanted to eat a whole loaf! Then we shared the croquetas, atun canario (raw tuna) and the mini hamburguesa. All were great but I think the tuna in the avocado cilantro marinade was my favorite. I could eat that dish everyday! And the burger sliders were cooked to a nice med-rare even though they were tiny! For dessert, we shared the chocolate cheesecake and it was just as delicious as everything else! Even though everything we had was exceptional, my only complaint is the portion sizes felt very small in relation to the prices. Regardless, I would still recommend coming here and tasting these flavors! :)

Boqueria has a really cool vibe. Our waiter was really friendly and explained that 2-3 dishes per person is a good place to start when ordering tapas. So for two girls that can eat five dishes between the two of us was the perfect amount. The cocktails were really tasty. Highly recommend!

You know when you're eating a kale salad and the pieces are too big and you're kind of cramming them into your mouth and then the salad dressing is all over your face? This is NOT that salad! The kale is perfectly chopped so you can enjoy it with just your fork as you talk to your friend/spouse/date or just read your book. Unfortunately, this most recent visit didn't live up to the high standards I've come to expect. While a few dishes hit the mark, the majority of our order was a letdown: Tinned Octopus: Surprisingly chewy and lacked seasoning. Mushroom Toast: The texture was rubbery, and the flavor was completely drowned out by an aggressive amount of balsamic. Beets: Had a very overwhelming cumin flavor that threw the dish out of balance. Roast Beef Slider: Served cold and felt a bit uninspired. It's such a cute, intimate space, and I've had so many wonderful nights here in the past, but the execution was just off this time around. I'm hoping it was just an off night, but it was definitely disappointing given how much I usually love this place!

Our server was super friendly and attentive, and she even offered a few samples so we could try before committing to a full glass, which we really appreciated. For food, we shared the hot dog with fried oysters to pair with the wine, and it was surprisingly delicious and a fun, elevated bar bite. Overall, the experience was fantastic -- great wine, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Pricing is definitely on the higher end, with wine glasses around $20 and the hot dog at $14, but the quality and experience justify it. I'd absolutely come back for another wine night.
