    Black truffle mushroom pasta

This was a phenomenal dining experience. I was in town for a work event and did dinner with a friend while there. The service was great. The server made recommendations and was extremely attentive. The food was fantastic. I hate I didn't get pictures of my salad. The atmosphere was also amazing. I would definitely return.

Wow wow wow. Beautiful restaurant that makes a date night feel like a special occasion. Our reservation for 2 on Saturday night sat us at the corner seat of the bar which we loved. Service was exquisite, fast and friendly. To start, we ordered the tuna and the kitchen even split it into two personal portions for each of us! Tuna was delicious and fresh, with heavy wasabi flavor. For entrees, the salmon was perfectly cooked with a small mixture of veggies. The saltimbocca was phenomenal - veal was melt in your mouth with mashed potatoes that had so much flavor. Love this place, highly recommend if you're looking a special fancy night out.

Dim lighting, white tablecloths and lovely china made for a beautiful setting, only dampened by the loud music that didn't fit the romantic vibe. The house made sourdough round was amazing. I could have eaten just that. But we also plowed through an entire order of truffle fries before a yummy, very garlicky Caesar salad. Unfortunately the salmon was rare instead of medium well as ordered. Having to send back one meal while the other person eats always dampens the dining experience. The salmon was served with a delicious eggplant dish. The other fish we had was served with a humongous dish of kale which was a bit strong tasting. The dishes were sufficiently spread out time wise. Overall a nice experience.

Visited the first night while in Boston and could not have been more pleased with Sorellina. Upon entering the establishment, the decor is modern and striking. Low lighting and peaceful atmosphere. The service was good. The warm bread with salted butter melts in your mouth. The pasta made with bone marrow was very rich and filling. Large portions. Highly recommend for a special evening.

Fabulous food, amazing staff paid attention to every detail, great table with beautiful bow window. We had a variety of salads, the buffalo mozzarella appetizer. Primo we had the meatball dish and the ravioli dish. Dinner plates were scallops and veal saltimbocca. Desserts were chocolate raspberry mousse and the chocolate lava cake with salted caramel gelato.

Came here for my birthday !The ambiance was nice and chill! The service was great waiter was able to assist when asked what was recommended. The drinks and food were yummy and appetizing.

we sat at the bar last minute, kaitlyn was our bartender/server and was great. we started with bread and eggplant rolatini. i loved the eggplant rollatini. we ordered their maccheroncelli and cavatelli to split because we couldn't decide, and both preferred the cavatelli. bread 9/10 eggplant rollatini 9/10 maccheroncelli 8.5/10 cavatelli 10/10 came here again and thomas was our server through the majority of our meal, then maryann took over, they were both extremely hospitable and had perfect timing. i tried their petal pusher drink which was outside of my typical order and it was so delicious, i ordered 2 more! we started with bread, oysters, and lobster gnocchi. the lobster gnocchi was absolutely divine, perfect taste and texture. we ordered the ribeye, scallops, and mushrooms for a main course. ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection, look at pictures for reference. i loved the scallops, they were big and beautifully plated. mushrooms were good, asparagus was great, and for dessert, we ordered the gelato (chocolate, coffee, and pistachio). they surprised me with a chocolate happy birthday plating with candle. they made this dinner incredibly special and i highly recommend everything i ordered. raw oysters 9/10 lobster gnocchi 10/10 ribeye 10/10 scallops 10/10 mushrooms 8.5/10 gelato 10/10 petal pusher 10/10 whether you're looking for a special date night, intimate solo date, or a dining with a group, sorellina would be a perfect destination with their attention to detail, exemplary service, and everything is delicious. ambiance: 5/5 food: 5/5 drinks: 5/5 service: 5/5 sorellina: 5/5

Wow, I loved this place. Our server was outstanding. We (again) decided our brains were too fried to order. Even though they did not have a tasting menu our server put together a wonderful array of dishes and total tab was very reasonable given the amount of food, ambience, and quality of food. We had a total of 8 dishes and total came out under $300. We started with the tuna which was nicely seasoned with a kick, then went on to Al dente handmade pasta with zucchini (?) - very very good, I didn't want the meatball dish so our server subbed it was a truffle pasta with mushrooms - WOW loved this one! Sauce was rich and mushrooms were perfect topped with truffle oil, eggplant rollatini was a great addition, and halibut was cooked perfectly with sweet summer corn. Our favorite was the dessert, limone was not too tart or too sweet, the bombolini was incredible - Highly recommended. Great value, beautiful restaurant, and wonderful service!

We had a great dinner at Sorellina! The restaurant has as great atmosphere - dimmed lighting, nice table settings, and not too loud. Our waitress was also spectacular. Attentive, informative, and super nice! For food - we tried the tuna appetizer first. It was amazing except for the Dijon spread at the bottom. I did not care for that part. We also tried the lobster gnocchi, and the filet mignon. The filet was amazing - highly recommend. The lobster was fun to try but I can't say I would recommend as your only dish. It has way too much butter in it so it's rich after a few bites. We split the gnocchi and filet between 2 of us and that worked better. The desserts were awesome too - we tried the tiramisu, chocolate cake and the donuts. We also tried the espresso martinis (it was a big night lol). The donuts and the martini were the winners but everything was very good! The pricing is high - as expected, given the caliber of the restaurant. Some of the portion sizes were smaller than I was expecting but overall the bill was in line with other high end steak houses. We will be back to try it again!

Family dinner for six the weekend after Thanksgiving. The menu is varied ranging from seafood to salads to house made pasta to traditional plated entrees. The tuna tartare was amazing. Large, fresh with a bit of a kick. It was served with homemade crackers. Wow. I had two half portions of pasta as my entree. Loved that the pasta was house made and the sauces were non traditional. Truffle sauce, red wine based sauce- both delicious. Server was one of the best we have had in years. Dining room was active but not loud. Nice lighting.

We had impeccable service. I think we had a waiter assigned just to our table because there were eight of us. After he gave us all menus. He went through the entire menu. I don't know how he remembered it all. They kept our glasses full so someone was always watching the table. I started with six oysters followed by a veal chop. The oysters had cucumber mignonette on them rather than cocktail sauce. The veal chop was nice and tender, medium rare just like I like it. We had kale and mushrooms as sides. We really did not need them with the size of the portions. There were high ceiling, curtains to keep down the noise. Perfect for conversation. The parking is non-existent. I took an Uber so I'm would not have to deal with a car.

Beautiful spacious restaurant with high ceilings. There is also a large LED lit mural as the centerpiece. The space is also dimly lit and really give off an art gallery vibe. The complimentry bread is rather tasty. Crunchy crust and nice and soft in inside. The butter is a bit bland side, though. 3.5/5 Lobster bisque- Creamy and savory with a generous portion of lobster, which was nice and tender. Very good! 4.5/5 Octopus Large portion of thinly sliced octopus. It was slightly covercook but still a tasty dish. The squid ink on the lentils did not add any flavor, but looked nice. There was also a little spice kick to the dish that that complained it. 4/5 Scallops 5 giant diver scallops. Nice crust on outside sweet and tender on inside. Perfectly cooked. Came with a delicious truffle jam sauce. The prosciutto was a bit of a distraction texture was. It was slightly cooked . The crunchiness just seemed off with such a tender dish. Also, it is on the small size, so get a big appetizer. 4/5 LIMONE Creamy and smooth lemon curd that's not to sweet and not too sour. Topped with campati foam that adds a nice bitterness and buckthorn that's adds a bit of sweetness. A very tasty dish 5/5

Our friend told us about this place so of course we had to try it since it was across the street from our hotel. We made a reservation just in case it was busy. We arrived on time and we were greeted right away by the hostess. We waited a few minutes before being seated. We ordered a nice bottle of red wine which price wise was really good. Our waiter brought us some hot bread that was delicious. We ordered the Kobe beef meatballs as an appetizer and they came out right away. They didn't look like your normal meatballs but once you sliced them up, they were delicious and the noodles with complimented them. No marinara sauce which was even better. Our entrees were the lamb chops and the Fettuccini with Black truffle sauce. The lamb was so tender, cooked perfect, and great flavor. The fettuccini had so much flavor with the truffle sauce and the noodles cooked perfect. The desert doughnuts were light and fluffy and delicious. Our waiter was nice and fantastic during our whole meal. The place is a really nice restaurant, but not to fancy. The prices are a little pricey but the service and the food is well worth it for one night.

One small thing -- maybe it was just me, but the entrance was a little difficult to find at first since it's mainly just a door from the outside. There were also tables seated very close to the entrance, which made it feel a bit cramped and awkward walking in and out. Our waiter was friendly and nice, though the service did feel a little rushed at times. That said, the food was absolutely delicious. We started with the calamari to share, and it was beautifully prepared -- crispy, fresh, and not overly heavy. For my entree, I ordered the seafood pasta and really loved it. The seafood tasted fresh, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the flavors all came together really well.

The menu refers to these as "Greek cheese bread" but somehow that doesn't do it justice - these were immensely pillowy and cheesy, with an amazing crust, with homemade honey butter on the side. I could have had just these for dinner and been satisfied. They really nailed the bread. My other favorites: 1. Hipiti: spicy whipped feta with crispy potatoes on the side. I don't do well with spice but I absolutely loved this. 2. Marouli: winter lettuce with the most amazing vinaigrette dressing. My only knock to this is, presentation-wise, they serve it with half of the plate empty and the other half with salad. I don't understand why restaurants do this because - one, it only highlights the smaller portion and two, we're just going to mix the salad all around in the bowl anyway. 3. Boudeto: daily catch in a beautiful tomato broth. For a seafood dish at a restaurant in Back Bay, this was priced at a fairly reasonable $28. The only dish that fell a little flat for me was the tzatziki - needed a bit more seasoning. As it was, I was eating mostly just plain yogurt. The table-side preparation was cool, though. The space is its own visual dinner, there's simply a lot to look at (including a drawing of Poseidon riding a surf board). We got the big table in the back, which was a beautiful glass structure with a whole terrarium underneath. We couldn't stop marveling at it throughout the meal. Our waiter was wonderful - very helpful recommendations, came by to check on us often even though we were pretty far in the back, super patient with our questions. Hard to get reservations but worth it! Don't bother driving / trying to find parking unless you're willing to eat a hefty garage fee, it's Back Bay.

The bread had large air pockets, visibly soft, with a rich aroma of salt and milk; the olive oil was smooth and mellow, with a full-bodied fragrance, and the aftertaste even included a subtle, restrained hint of tea. Even knowing it's a calorie bomb, I couldn't resist dipping it in more. Baccala Mantecato: Classic Venetian flavor. The salted cod was tender and delicate, almost like a light foam, somewhere between raw silk and mousse; the dark bread was simple yet not coarse, perfectly balancing the saltiness of the cod. The most surprising thing was the refreshing aroma of celery leaves that emerged in the aftertaste, lingering and persistent. Lumache: When looking at the menu, seeing "chili butter, Jonah crab, breadcrumb," I never expected such a distinct citric acidity. The subtle acidity was gently enveloped in the fatty aroma of chili butter, perfectly complementing the umami and sweetness of the crab meat with just the right amount of spiciness. The lumache were firm and chewy, the sauce rich and smooth, and the breadcrumbs light and crisp, creating a rich and distinct texture. The portion was generous; even after microwaved the next day, the sauce had naturally broken down and the lemon's tartness had dissipated, but the noodles mixed with chili oil still had a unique flavor. Tiramisu: Highly renowned, and the staff were quite confident. The surface was covered with a thick layer of crispy cocoa nibs, the cake itself is incredibly soft and moist, and digging inside reveals an "underground river" of coffee liquid, while its bitterness was perfectly balanced by the sweet Marsala. The overall flavor was sweet and mellow, less bitter than typical tiramisu, with more layers of complexity. Actually, I was hoping for a slightly bitter version. Even on a weekday, it was packed with customers; by 5:10 PM, only one bar seat was left. Reservations are highly recommended. However, the bar was in a good location, with the bartenders being the easiest servers to find. It was a pleasant conversation with them.

The service is so friendly and seamless which in itself makes for a lovely evening. Highlights were the mussels, which were very fresh and delicious. The service here was attentive with the waiters offering more bread for the mussels. Most dishes are a little spicy, so if you don't like spice, make sure to note that with the waiter. The miso gelato is one of the most delicious savory/sweet desserts, and has lots of nice crunchy accents of the sesame crumble. Cocktails are fabulous, very smooth, as well as the mocktails. Cons: The crostini was nothing really special, and one of them came without the oyster butter. The meatballs, which were tasty but had a slightly hard texture on the outside. The prawn risotto was pretty one-note in flavor, and the prawn heads tasted overcooked and slightly off. The radiatore was spicy and nicely plated. The Cremoso al Cioccolato had a strange flavor profile that didn't quite fit, and had such a large salted chocolate-truffle section that we did not finish it (which is saying something)! Overall, if you are looking for a solid dinner in Boston that will guarantee be a nice experience because of the atmosphere, this is a good place.

Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It's brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto's fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza's surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant's proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor. Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn't balance it out.
