This was a nice place in Laramie to grab lunch and a cold beer. We were greeted at the door with a smile and a welcome. Our waitress was pleasant and very helpful. We ordered 6 medium hot and 6 sriracha pineapple wings and a burger and fries. The mild wings were sloppy and pretty good. The sriracha pineapple wings were dry but had a decent flavor. The burger was delicious, the hamburger had a great taste. The fries were soggy and limp not good fries by any standard. The place was similar to My Brother's Bar on 15th Street in Denver. Usually with substandard fries I would rate them 3 stars but the burger deserves a star on it's own. I would go back, the prices were reasonable and the service was very good. read more

A great place to eat! The burger patties are thin with a crispy exterior and juicy inside. You can have a single quarter pound burger if you don't have a big appetite or a double patty if you do. Lots of great choices, not just cheese. The Blue Burger was as good as it gets! The Cheese Steak sandwich had a great bun with a real steak chopped up, not a frozen flat piece of who knows what. I found this on yelp as we passed through Laramie and I'm so glad we stopped. These smoked wings are so good!! My boys asked for their boneless wings to be brought out dry with the sauce on the side. They aren't big fans of super saucy wings. When they came out they had been tossed in the sauce anyways, and our server was so awesome about bringing another set of dry boneless wings out. I really appreciated his kindness. I can't remember his name, I think it started with a D? He was working the patio lunch shift, right around 12:15 on Sunday, August 9. This is an awkward review because I have found going here is a crap shoot. Sometimes it's 5-stars and sometimes 2. Since it's primarily a burger joint then I would expect their burgers would be cooked perfectly every time. I always order my burgers medium and sometimes it comes out that way and then their burgers are amazing. Juicy. Full of flavor. Sometimes they come out dead and dry--as if the person cooking them isn't paying attention. I always make sure the wait staff knows my dilemma and still there is no certainty. "Well...just send it back you say." That's not really a good option because their burgers take quite awhile to prepare and by the time I get it back the others in my party would be done. And...who like to be "that guy" when you're trying to have a nice meal out. read more

As part of our College Tour 2020, we went through Laramie to visit the University of Wyoming. Before heading back down South, my oldest son and I let Jesus take the wheel and took a shot at Born In a Barn. My son, in preparation for college, lives largely on a diet of chicken wings and Red Bull. About 2 wings into our meal, we both shared that these might be the best wings we've ever had. There are literally scores of flightless chickens based solely on his culinary choices, so that claim carries all the weight due to a 17 year old American male. The classic wings are awesome, but the smoked wings were a game changer. Couple that with friendly service without an ounce of pretension, and I declare this one a winner. read more

This place is always busy and service get can slow but the food makes up for it. The burgers are pretty good but the wings and chicken fingers are top notch. Their variety of sauces are great, especially the spicy garlic sauce. Although the food is good, they never answer their phone. On multiple occasions, I've tried to call ahead about wait times and each time, no one answers. Ordering online is difficult as well since they don't give an accurate pick up time or update the status of the order, and since they don't answer the phone, you can't call them about it. This place has food items that are very farm like and hearty sort of what I feel I'd cowboy food. The burgers are all spectacular and man those French fries were among the best anywhere. Great lunch today! A wild menu with lots of burger and wings options. Service was very attentive and pleasant. My bride had a HUGE chicken salad (grilled chicken not fried), and I devoured my cheesesteak. Highly recommended. And whenever I am passing through Laramie (4 times so far at 68 years of age) I will be getting more of Born in a Barn. Our pickup order was set for 5:50 and we arrived at 5:55 thinking it would be ready. We were mistaken. We waited over 25 minutes inside the restaurant for our food. The food was good but not worth the wait. Several other pickup orders who arrived at a similar time as us seemed to have the same issue. Very unacceptable. read more

Good service friendly staff a lot of unique menu items. We had wings and burgers. They don't ask for temp so you get a well done dried out burger that is saved by the toppings. About a five minute wait on a Thursday night for a table for two. Service was great. Prompt and friendly. Loved the chili covered fries as an appetizer. It's a huge portion that could easily be shared by four people. Ordered traditional, bone-in wings with the pineapple sriracha and garlic cream Asiago sauces. Sunday afternoon, many places closed, then we happened on this place. Loved it! Wife and daughter shared the Barnchos. Pulled pork on top of house made potato chips, cheese, barbecue sauce. Just great! I had a Mushroom Swiss burger that was out of this world. Because it is all made to order you need to be patient, but the atmosphere is enough to keep you interested. Had some take out from here while in Laramie on business. Got a burger with gluten free bun and some spicy barbecue wings. Burger was good, cooked well and seasoned nicely. Wings were a little dry but I ordered the smoked so maybe that's how they are? Sauce was good. Right amounts of spice and BBQ.
