Beef sandwich with a tahini sauce.

It's finally open! Stopped by this spot that replaced my favorite Mexican food spot and found it quite charming. It was a soft open limited menu, but was recommended the beef sandwich by an exceedingly friendly staff. Took a while, but soft opening growing pains are easily overlooked. It was delightfully tasty with delicious beef and an interesting tahini sauce. Plus the fries were perfectly crispy. Drink options were limited, hope they add some sodas, but they had a lot of smoothie options. Settled on a water. Finished up with a fruit tart which had a perfect crust. Will absolutely be making a trip back, though I will hope they get some stronger high top chairs, as a big fellow, it felt a little precarious.

Brand new bakery at the Metro Pointe in Costa Mesa near South Coast Plaza. Stopped by for their soft opening today. The interior is beautiful! Tables available inside and outside on the patio, along with bar seating by the window. The menu looked really good - it was a soft opening today so about half the items were available. I tried two croissants - one savory and one sweet - and found them both to be delicious! The chef is on-site baking everything in the back, and you can tell because the food tasted fresh. I highly recommend visiting this cute cafe with yummy food - the owners were soooo kind and sweet, too! Will be back!

If you are looking for top-tier baked goods and amazing hospitality, this is the spot. Because it's family-owned, you can really feel the care; the chef and the family were incredibly welcoming. The highlight of the visit was the pistachio French toast. The brioche was incredibly soft, and the pistachio crème anglaise was executed perfectly. I also loved the flaky, tasty croissant and a spectacular cookie loaded with cranberry, chocolate, and nuts. Wash it all down with their excellent caramel latte, and you have the perfect brunch. 5 stars!

Food looks yummy and delicious. They serve meals and bakery items. Service is amazing and friendly. Ambiance is normal noise, not too loud a little quiet.

Absolutely loved this place! The pastries were incredibly fresh, flaky, and full of flavor, and the hot chocolate was just perfect You can really tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients. The atmosphere is cozy, clean, and so welcoming. So grateful for finding this beautiful bakery café -- definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to and highly recommend to everyone!

I purchased some pastries for my team this morning. They were sooo delicious that I came back to try something off of their lunch menu. I'm so happy Borouge has finally opened even though this is their soft open. Can't wait to come back and get some more goodies!!! The staff was amazing and their decor and seating are very comfortable

I love love love their matcha and actually get my at-home espresso beans here. They are perfectly roasted and the espresso comes out smooth. I also have had their avocado toast. It is so good but I never finish it haha because it is big. Totally worth to try. They have large tables which are perfect to host coworking sessions or just to come and work. I think I've only had like a small instance where the internet got a little slow but other than that this is a pleasant spot to visit. You can also rent a study/conference room from the church. I sent a message before because I needed a spot to do my final oral exam virtually. There is a small fee but unfortunately no one got back to me. There is a QR code that takes you to a site where you fill out a form to request the space. Now, these requests are handled specifically by the church not the coffee spot. Although it is in the same area. The staff is super friendly. The restrooms are always clean. Handicap friendly. Not necessarily kid friendly because a lot of people come here to study and work, and its also all concrete and hazards for the small ones, but I have seen people do like babies on strollers type of gathering.

At the Costa Mesa location, parking was a little tricky at first, but after circling we got lucky with a corner spot. The location itself is SO cute! It's right next to colorful barrel fountains, and on a sunny day it honestly felt like the perfect coffee outing. The line was pretty long and you are standing in direct sun, so just keep that in mind, but the service was quick and efficient once you order. Inside, it's small but really charming, with Sunny Angels hidden around and a very open, friendly vibe. My sister (who is basically a professional coffee drinker at this point ) got the matcha and said it was her favorite, which says a lot. I got the iced Spanish latte with oat milk, and it was SO good. Spanish lattes are my go-to, and this one had the perfect hint of cinnamon without being overly sweet. Even as the ice melted, it still tasted great, which is rare. The Torrance location was just as good! Parking was easier, the space is bigger, and the service was still super friendly and fast. My husband got the cold brew "Nook way" and finished it in like 10 minutes. He said it tasted like Golden Grahams cereal. Highly recommend both locations and especially the Spanish latte. Definitely worth the visit!

The parking however, was VERY filled during this time. The line was huge for a 11:00am on a Friday morning. We were bummed that the QR code was not working on the very cute wooden signage outside the coffee shop while we were in line, which was a bummer. The Honey Oat Latte with oat milk was delicious. I am notorious for chugging my iced coffee but this was absolutely delicious. A sweet, subtle honey sweetness taste and the creamy oat milk was divine. My manager's Spanish Latte was so much better & I will be getting that next time! We bought our other coworker the Strawberry Matcha, which we did not try & we were worried after the fact because it did not look like it had strawberries in it, but she confirmed it was very tasty and tasted the strawberry! The outside seating areas in this outdoor area was very cute. Lots of fun art, the directory was creative, the CD tunnel was the coolest part! We also walked over to the breakfast burrito place as well. This seems like a nice area to come and relax and just people watch and enjoy a delicious iced latte from Nook.
