What a great addition to the Metro Pointe shopping center. Noticeably fresh and well made food with quality ingredients. My wife and I shared the breakfast burrito and pistachio French toast. You could tell from the first bite that these dishes were made with care. I can't stress enough how perfectly the eggs were cooked in the burrito and how tasty the homemade vinaigrette in the provided side salad was. My wife's Spanish latte was also flavorful and well spiced (slightly on the sweeter side as coffees go). We had such a welcoming and wonderful experience, and we can't wait to come back and try their fresh made pastries and other fare from the Mediterranean region made by Chef Amal. And the service - it is truly 5 stars. A small family run business who deploy elite hospitality experiences akin to a 5-star resort! Been back a few times since and each time has been great. The Chicken Parm sandwich was very tasty and became an immediate favorite. Also had the Shrimp Po Boy, which isn't traditional by any means, but felt strangely refreshing. Also, service remains excellent, and the staff is very enthusiastic to share ideas about new drink creations and have pleasant conversation if it's slow. Stopped here on a whim while coming back from running errands and man am I glad we stopped. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, the space is clean and fresh, and the food was amazing. Ordered some of the Lemon Bread, the lemon flavor was exquisite, a breakfast burrito, which they were kind enough to cut in half for us, organs juice, which is fresh squeezed, and a couple of lattes, which were among the best I have ever had. The burrito is a California style with avocado, egg, and potatoes...but then they add a tomato balsamic sauce that changes the flavor of the burrito by adding some acidity to the burrito which really takes the flavor to another level. The lattes have a smooth delicate flavor and more depth than you usually get from a latte, and the size is generous for the price. The orange juice took a minute to get to us but I didn't realize they were fresh squeezing it so the wait was well worth it, not pulpy and very very good, as you would expect it was like eating an orange. The lemon bread was so good, deep lemon flavor, thick bread with just enough sweetness from the icing on top. The food was so good we ordered some of the pastries to go and they did not disappoint. Guava, strawberry, blueberry, chocolate, raspberry, and raisin all made fresh in store and so much better than anything you get that's premade. Shred all of those with a group of friends and everyone was amazed by the flavor and texture of the fruits, sauces, and bread. You can tell they take their time and are very proud of the food that they make and serve. I would, and am, recommending this place to everyone. What an amazing experience! read more

My goodness! We wanted to check out this new bakery in our area before we went home and ended up really impressed! Let's talk about the great service, Adam was so welcoming and sweet. He asked us our names and was so knowledgeable about all the bakery items that we ended up buying 5 different ones. It's cozy and comfortable with tons of different food options. We were so glad we wandered in because the I absolutely loved the guava pastry. The softness and the crunch of the pastry with the tropical fruit topping it was absolutely delicious. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable- they did let us know they had a limited menu for their soft opening. Fortunately they had the dish I was eyeing. Shakshuka! I ordered that, and my husband got the cinnamon apple French toast. We were also encouraged to try a pastry (made fresh in house) and selected the tomato pesto danish. Every bite was outstanding. My husband said the French toast was the best he has ever had (brioche made fresh in house too). My shakshuka had a great balance, and the salad on the side was the perfect touch to cut through the rich tomato sauce. I was so disappointed by my experience today, especially because I had high hopes for supporting this new bakery. When I arrived, the door was open, so I naturally assumed the business was still serving customers. After walking in, Desi rudely stated "we're closed" . I immediately turned to leave, but then turned back to ask a quick question. Before I could finish speaking, I was abruptly cut off by Desi, who stated, "What didn't you get, Closed is closed!" I was honestly taken aback by the interaction. Had the door been locked or had I been politely informed that they were closed, I would have completely understood. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. As a professional in this Metro Pointe complex who works with a team of approximately 70 employees, I was excited about the opportunity to support this new business and recommend it to others. Unfortunately, first impressions matter, and customer service is just as important as the product being sold. I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident, but based on my experience today, I cannot recommend a business that treats other Metro Pointe tenants and new clients this way.
