Beef sandwich with a tahini sauce.

Been back a few times since and each time has been great. The Chicken Parm sandwich was very tasty and became an immediate favorite. Also had the Shrimp Po Boy, which isn't traditional by any means, but felt strangely refreshing. Also, service remains excellent, and the staff is very enthusiastic to share ideas about new drink creations and have pleasant conversation if it's slow. Just a nice spot to hang out, relax, and enjoy a solid sandwich or dessert.

Beyond excited to see this place finally opened! Came in on 6/6 and was greeted by the son of this family owned business. Met the chef and her husband. Very kind and friendly family. We tried a various amount of their pastries and everything tasted great! Adding pictures of everything we tried.

Freshly made delicious food and coffee. Wonderfully warm service. You are immediately greeted with a smile. The decor is beautiful chic and relaxing. The outdoor seating is also very nice with a shaded area.

was absolutely blown away by the quality of the pastries - it really rivals many LA bakeries and is definitely some of the best in OC!! the space just opened a couple weeks ago and is tucked across from south coast plaza. highly recommend the pistachio french toast (one of the best ive ever had), toffee cruffin, and pain au raisin. the husband and wife owners were constantly checking in with all the patrons as well as myself and were extremely hospitable. loved this new bakery and look forward to trying more pastries/brunch items!

Stopped here on a whim while coming back from running errands and man am I glad we stopped. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, the space is clean and fresh, and the food was amazing. Ordered some of the Lemon Bread, the lemon flavor was exquisite, a breakfast burrito, which they were kind enough to cut in half for us, organs juice, which is fresh squeezed, and a couple of lattes, which were among the best I have ever had. The burrito is a California style with avocado, egg, and potatoes...but then they add a tomato balsamic sauce that changes the flavor of the burrito by adding some acidity to the burrito which really takes the flavor to another level. The lattes have a smooth delicate flavor and more depth than you usually get from a latte, and the size is generous for the price. The orange juice took a minute to get to us but I didn't realize they were fresh squeezing it so the wait was well worth it, not pulpy and very very good, as you would expect it was like eating an orange. The lemon bread was so good, deep lemon flavor, thick bread with just enough sweetness from the icing on top. The food was so good we ordered some of the pastries to go and they did not disappoint. Guava, strawberry, blueberry, chocolate, raspberry, and raisin all made fresh in store and so much better than anything you get that's premade. Shred all of those with a group of friends and everyone was amazed by the flavor and texture of the fruits, sauces, and bread. You can tell they take their time and are very proud of the food that they make and serve. I would, and am, recommending this place to everyone. What an amazing experience!

Food looks yummy and delicious. They serve meals and bakery items. Service is amazing and friendly. Ambiance is normal noise, not too loud a little quiet.

If you are looking for top-tier baked goods and amazing hospitality, this is the spot. Because it's family-owned, you can really feel the care; the chef and the family were incredibly welcoming. The highlight of the visit was the pistachio French toast. The brioche was incredibly soft, and the pistachio crème anglaise was executed perfectly. I also loved the flaky, tasty croissant and a spectacular cookie loaded with cranberry, chocolate, and nuts. Wash it all down with their excellent caramel latte, and you have the perfect brunch. 5 stars!

Absolutely loved this place! The pastries were incredibly fresh, flaky, and full of flavor, and the hot chocolate was just perfect You can really tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients. The atmosphere is cozy, clean, and so welcoming. So grateful for finding this beautiful bakery café -- definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to and highly recommend to everyone!

I purchased some pastries for my team this morning. They were sooo delicious that I came back to try something off of their lunch menu. I'm so happy Borouge has finally opened even though this is their soft open. Can't wait to come back and get some more goodies!!! The staff was amazing and their decor and seating are very comfortable

    Shakshuka

We randomly decided to stop by for breakfast before running errands, and could not have stumbled upon a better spot! The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable- they did let us know they had a limited menu for their soft opening. Fortunately they had the dish I was eyeing. Shakshuka! I ordered that, and my husband got the cinnamon apple French toast. We were also encouraged to try a pastry (made fresh in house) and selected the tomato pesto danish. Every bite was outstanding. My husband said the French toast was the best he has ever had (brioche made fresh in house too). My shakshuka had a great balance, and the salad on the side was the perfect touch to cut through the rich tomato sauce. We'll definitely be coming back to try more, though it will be hard to pass up the shakshuka and French toast again!

    Chocolate croissant

5 stars to every bite. Fine breakfast & lunch selection & ingredients. Kitchen starts at 4am to prepare the best fresh bake pastry in the morning. Loving chef lady is baking fresh pastry daily. Love the home made pasta sauce! The sandwich bread is perfectly toasted. Super nice manager with very attentive service. Neat seating indoor or outdoor. Good place to rest and relax for good food.

    Rose croissant and Spanish latte.

Food was amazing. Don't skip on the croissants. Had the rose croissant and veggie omelet with Spanish latte.

I was not a huge fan of the Churro Latte. It lacked the cinnamon flavor that most Churro Lattes have and it tasted watered down. It looks like the only cinnamon flavoring came from the sprinkled cinnamon on top of the drink. The Eggs Benedict were also okay. Nothing special with the sauce. The dish also does not come with any sides. Overall, I do not think I will come back here again any time soon. The restaurant itself is beautiful, but the food and parking situation was disappointing for me. There was also a huge wait time to receive your food.

At the Costa Mesa location, parking was a little tricky at first, but after circling we got lucky with a corner spot. The location itself is SO cute! Even as the ice melted, it still tasted great, which is rare. The Torrance location was just as good! Parking was easier, the space is bigger, and the service was still super friendly and fast.
