I've been seeing this place all over social media and finally got to try. Such a cute bakery with a cozy indoor vibe and aesthetic outdoor garden area. Makes the perfect spot for photos but other than the ambiance, the food and drinks were just ok. It felt like something we could make at home and my friend's omelet ran a little runny/undercooked. Unfortunately, we had dog poop left underneath our table against the wall and we didn't notice until after we were cleaning up. I understand it's a pet-friendly cafe but that was a bit of turn-off...There's also some flies or bugs flying around if you sit outside given the nature. Overall, friendly service, abundant seating, limited parking, and ok food at ok prices.

Truly don't understand the hype this place gets. I came here after hearing many great things about their pastries, especially their cinnamon rolls, so I figured I'd give them a try. Could not be more disappointed. -Cinnamon Roll: Man oh man was this dry. Probably one of the worst cinnamon rolls I've ever had. I came in a little bit before noon on a Friday and they only had a handful of them left on display. Went straight home to warm it up and it was as if these had been left out on the counter for 3 days. The dough was not chewy or plush like you'd expect. The frosting stayed pretty stiff compared to classic cinnamon rolls. The flavor profile was OVERWHELMINGLY sour. Like I get having cream cheese frosting which typically adds some tang to any cinnamon roll but both the dough and the icing were far tooooo tart. Maybe I'm just not the target audience for this type of cinnamon roll but this was an immediate no for me. Tried to pass it off to my family and everyone said no thanks after trying one bite. Don't get this unless you like sour and dry cinnamon rolls. -Chocolate Croissant: I think croissants are an excellent way to judge the skill of a pastry shop. Unfortunately, this one was also very telling. I don't see this often when it comes to bakeries that are suppose to specialize in making bread and pastries, but man the croissant was flat and hollow?! After my disappointing cinnamon roll, I only wanted to try half of the croissant in case it was also not good so I cut it in half and warmed it up. You would have thought I bought a hot pocket lol. This croissant had large gaping holes and extremely poor lamination. No discernable flakey layers which is exactly what you want from a croissant. Since they also use the sourdough base for this pastry, it also lends a very pronounced sour taste to the croissant, but that's hardly an issue, all things considered. The shop and parking: The saving graces for this bakery is the interior and patio areas were cute. Staff were also nice. Parking is not good. There are about 8 spots out front, 4 on the left and 4 on the right. They don't connect to each other because the sidewalk starts immediately in front so if you see a spot open on the other side, you have to exit the lot and re-enter because there's no thru road. The back side has some additional parking but many of the spots are reserved for the other businesses and all of them were taken as well. Overall: I spent $17 for 2 poorly made pastries. I will not be coming back.

This cafe/bakery has such a stunning indoor and outdoor space! If you're dining in, you still order at the counter and they will give you a table number once you order. They have a variety of savory and sweet brunch options and tons of fresh baked goods. Their drinks rotate seasonally with lots of fun coffee flavors. There is a small parking lot both in the front and the back but it can get quite crowded on weekends

As others have mentioned, the prices here are high. I am skeptical of places like this where the prices are high and not worth it. While I don't think that their food and drinks fully justify the high cost, it was pretty good overall. I love the ambiance and decor of this place. It's a neutral, modern design that I absolutely love. I enjoyed just sitting and spending time slowly eating my food and drinking my latte while taking in how nice this place looked! The Roasted Chicken Pesto ($24), while pricey, was a decently sized sandwich that filled my hubby and me up. The Bread Basket ($5) was much more affordable considering how pricey everything else was. I'm a huge fan of sourdough, so I had to try the bread basket that offered me a taste of their sourdough and baguette. They definitely have a tang to their sourdough, but not as tangy as I had hoped (I like them real sour). Service was great from all the staff members - friendly! Overall, I wouldn't frequent this place often because of the prices, but I would definitely come back again!

First time today for lunch. Talk about a wonderful experience! The building has a very peaceful atmosphere. The menu is full of delightful thoughtful dishes. Avocado toast was amazing and you must have it with a poached egg. Everyone we encountered was above and beyond friendly. I asked if I could buy flour from them. A no go for now but, you never know down the road I hope?? I will be back! Thank you so much for a fabulous lunch!

Very cute breakfast spot in Costa Mesa with a nice ambiance inside. Croissants are delicious and are sourdough! The food was good but not going to lie it's a tad bit on the pricier side for what it is but that's anywhere today I suppose. Service was a solid 7.5/10 so not bad. I'm not super crazy about a 5.75$ drip coffee either but at an establishment as such I understand that people need to get paid. Overall very cute small breakfast / pastry / bread joint. I'd recommend to try at least once !

Pretty great place, but too expensive and that's why it's not 5 stars. Friendly service, spacious inside and outside, and quality food. They bake with good ingredients and many things are sourdough. The make an excellent coffee, as well as do a great job with the breakfast plates. Excellent omelette, excellent potatoes. No complaints! Only the price... most things were $20. I liked the cinnamon roll, but recommend the sourdough chocolate chip cookie even more!

Eller has been on my bookmarks forever! Finally stopped by & it definitely didn't disappoint. I only ordered the cinnamon roll and it was delicious. Next time I will have to sit down for lunch or coffee. There are so many different options on the menu. Parking can be tricky due to having a small parking lot. So I would recommend you go early I the day.

Very elegant, visually pleasing, and comfortable setting, always clean. The staff are so welcoming, accommodating, and polite. I recommend the banana bread and banana bread latte.

Pretty good matcha latte. Banana latte was everything the hype gave to it. Food was okay, pastries as well. For the most part good enough to come back, and we will. The staff if great, probably the best part of the experience

This cafe has been repeatedly recommended and I finally made it today. I met friends at 10:30. I just ordered a warm matcha and the most delicious and fresh cinnamon roll. I don't understand the negative posts. The service was friendly and welcoming. The only reason I gave it 4 starts was because the music was too loud for us. However, before I left I did see the quiet patio out back. I will return and order the avocado toast. It looked delicious and HUGE! Looked big enough to share. I do recommend you go.

A cute (and very well-known and popular) brunch spot in Costa Mesa! I've come twice now and now that I've tried the two egg breakfast, I don't think I'll ever order anything else ever again. The potatoes are sooo crispy and perfect, and the flavor on the sausage patties was incredible. I've tried one of their lattes once before and wasn't a huge fan so I think I'll just stick to the food. Definitely on the pricier side so just be prepared.

(Does anyone work anymore!? ) The longest I waited was an hour but that was 3 weeks after opening. And I can tell you, as long as you have the time it will be worth it. The overall aesthetic is coastal cowboy meets rustic modern. There is a ton of seating with a great outdoor patio. Parking in the back is pretty slim, so your best bet is street parking. You can either get lucky or park around the block, depending on the day / time. My absolute favorite coffee is the Hawaiian Cowboy. It flavor profile is a nutty tasting honey that's refreshing yet not overly sweet. You can actually taste the espresso without it being too powerful. This coffee is worth the wait. Their other drinks are also good, but this one takes the cake. They have a pretty expansive food menu as well, so it's much more than "just a coffee shop". And you can't forget about their baked goods. O M G. It's from a local bakery (sift bakery) who makes the best non basic treats around. At the Costa Mesa location, parking was a little tricky at first, but after circling we got lucky with a corner spot. The location itself is SO cute! The line was pretty long and you are standing in direct sun, so just keep that in mind, but the service was quick and efficient once you order. Inside, it's small but really charming, with Sunny Angels hidden around and a very open, friendly vibe. My sister (who is basically a professional coffee drinker at this point ) got the matcha and said it was her favorite, which says a lot. I got the iced Spanish latte with oat milk, and it was SO good. Spanish lattes are my go-to, and this one had the perfect hint of cinnamon without being overly sweet. Even as the ice melted, it still tasted great, which is rare. The Torrance location was just as good! Parking was easier, the space is bigger, and the service was still super friendly and fast. My husband got the cold brew "Nook way" and finished it in like 10 minutes. He said it tasted like Golden Grahams cereal. Highly recommend both locations and especially the Spanish latte.
