Listen, I would never lead anyone astray when it comes to food. If you want to eat GOOD, get the fried chicken ramen. If you want to eat GREAT, add the pork buns thing. And if you feeling extra spicy get an Arnold Palmer boba on the rocks (no liquor isn't included, relax) and I guarantee you will be back. It's more like 2.5-2.75..among the 4 dishes I ordered upon 2 visits, 2 were bad (partly due to the quality, and partly due to my personal taste) and 2 were ok. But it's a clean place where you spend about $10-12 and get a quick meal. Service was both times good. * Muscle man - spicy tuna was actually cooked to the point that I thought it was chicken..! @.@ It also tasted funky and the seasoning was more peppery. I expected raw tuna with some kind of spicy sauce (either Sriracha based or spicy mayo). Salmon (raw) was fine. But overall it was lacking in topping options, and the nori was too thinly crumbled (more like dust), and the avocado was mashed. * Tonkotsu ramen with pork belly - pork was good. Broth was ok, although a little on the weak/ bland side. Not much topping..(Woodear mushroom or nori would be nice, for example.) Noodle was a bit overcooked and on the thick side. But I liked it a bit more than the Ur Bowl. Both places seem to use pre-made soup base that's mass produced, which is what you'd expect at a place like this. * Bulgogi bowl - this was better than the muscle man. Beef was seasoned well, and the quality of the near was ok. Too much pickled onion. Egg was good. * Korean gochujang (sweet chili paste) pop corn chicken - This was disappointing. How can you fail with fried chicken in sweet gochujang sauce..?! it was too doughy, and the flavor was off. I did taste the gochujang, but overall too sweet and not enough flavor depth. I think in a pinch, and to satisfy a ramen craving in town, this will be ok. But the topping choices and options for build your own is not as varied or convinient as the other 2 places nearby. They got caught my eye with sushi burrito however when I went inside I saw Japanese curry bowl and got that instead. Boru boru has lots of potential to be a really dope restaurant. It is still brand new and working out the kinks. I went on a not so busy day at all, service was quick. However, the cashier did mishear my boyfriend who wanted a sushi burrito and got a bowl instead. But honestly it wasn't that big of a deal cause the bowl was well portioned. The food was yummy! We ended up saving half of our meal to eat later. So it was like we got fed 2x in a day. We also ordered the Arnold Palmer boba and a taro milk tea... both were delicious. However kind of pricey for the size, so hint hint: go on friday when it's bogo 50%. I think next time I will definitely build my own burrito or something. The Japanese curry was very rich in flavor but it did kind of remind of this boxed Japanese curry I made (lol sorry !) and it was disappointing that extra toppings were like .50 cent each... -_- hence why it's 4 stars. What did I just eat? A friend recommended so went w my BF. He had the OJ wrap and I was recd the muscle man one got it in a bowl.. I couldn't find any protein in the muscle man! ? Where was it? Not happy. 15$ for a bowl of rice and an empty restaurant still took them 20 mins to serve. My BF has stomach cramps all night after eating 1/2 of the wrap/roll. Will not be coming baxk. Delicious and fresh!! I've technically only tried one thing on the menu but it's so delicious I can't help it. Boru Boru has an awesome menu of bowls, burritos, curry, and salads. The steak bowl is soooo good. I'm addicted. The ingredients are super fresh and staff are friendly. The interior is very clean and has plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. There's also a bike path that goes from Boru Boru to the stadium and college town. Prices are a little higher ($12 or so) but depending on what you order, you could stay within the $10 or under range. Give it a try!! read more

My daughter loves this place. She is celiac and they have a lot of gluten free options. I tried it when dropping her at FSU last week and was impressed. The gyoza were hot and crispy (would have been even better there), with flavor unmatched by any other restaurant in Tally. I had expected to need sauce, but they were more than enough on their own.
