That was especially refreshing after a much larger plumbing company had quoted us nearly $3,000 for the same repair. He didn't simply install the valve and leave. He opened multiple faucets and thoroughly tested the system to make sure the pressure remained stable throughout the house. He brought it down to approximately 64 PSI, explained how I could periodically check and adjust it myself, and offered to return and make things right if we experienced any problems. He was responsive, friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and reasonably priced. It felt like he genuinely cared about doing the job correctly and making sure I understood everything before he left. Although the company was booked through the following week, Travis made it clear that he would personally start and finish the job immediately if that was what it took. The project came with several unexpected complications, but Travis remained calm and resourceful, brainstorming practical solutions for every issue that arose. The front of the house has a faucet that, well I can't explain what they were thinking when they installed it (see before pics). Now the faucet work, no leaks just odd placement and fixture. I wanted to get it replaced and asked for some quotes so I hopped on Yelp and got 5 plumbers to come out and give me a quote. Some quotes where a little higher then what I was planning and one was way out there -- they wanted to cap the hose and install a new line --- no thank you! Decided on Hips plumbing for two reasons: very friendly knowledgeable staff and price. He took before & after photos/videos that I got emailed a copy of for my records. He made sure the team prior was thorough with the initial tune-up, inspection and install.
