I really love how they do the moussaka at Bosphorous. The layering of flavors made for a delicious balance between the lamb, the eggplant, the tomatoes, the cheese and the sauce on it. I also dug the rice going with it instead of potatoes. It was baked to just the right heart and for just the right time leaving the dish hot but still moist and really flavorful. Delicious turkish food! We ordered tons of dishes which were all fantastic. The lamb dish was fall off the bone good. We also ordered a sampler of the meats that was like a heaping pile of awesomeness. The meat was tender and had great flavor. You just wanted to keep eating even if you were full. A group of us went to Bosphorous on a whim the other night after work. Some had been to the other locations, but this was my first time at a Bosphorous. Upon entry, you are greeted by beautiful lighting fixtures that really set the mood. We were seated right away and our server took the time to go over the menu in great detail which was appreciated. The happy hour is also amazing (50% off all alcoholic beverages) which was great because most restaurants have restrictions. I wasn't starving so I didn't feel up for a full blown meal, so my husband and I split the mixed appetizer which was a mixture Humus, Babaganoush, Sautéed Eggplant, Tabbuli, Ezme, Tarama, Haydari and Zetinyagli Yaprak Dolma for around $22 as well as lavas for $5. Holy food!! It ended up being a lot and we didn't even end up finishing it all. Every portion of it was so freakin delicious and full of flavor!! I'm not even exaggerating, every part was so tasty. Was excited to see Bosphorous was opening close to home and we weren't disappointed when we went for dinner. Everything down to the awesome service was great. The server helped me pick an amazing Turkish wine and then we moved on to appetizers. We decided to split the Mixed Appetizer with a lavas so we were able to try a little of everything. We enjoyed all of the dips and our server again was great explaining what each was as well as his recommendations for combinations. The grape leaves were a little too sweet for my liking since I've never had them with currants before but I did enjoy them. For my entree I had the lamb sis kebab and the lamb was so tender and delicious. Rice was cooked perfectly and the side dishes paired well with everything. Didn't have room for dessert but had a Turkish coffee to end the meal. My family is Greek so I grew up drinking Greek coffee so knew to expect the grinds at the bottom of the cup, etc. Again, perfect cup of coffee and server was great explaining and presenting the coffee. The lavas bread and various cold appetizer dips were excellent. Everything else was meh. The waiter highly recommended the Beyti Kebap. Not good. The lamb was not as described, it was ground and very salty. The "special pita" was tough, no flavor and seemed like a flour tortilla purchased from the local Publix. The "house-made" tomato sauce was straight tomato puree/tomato paste that tasted fresh from the can. No flavor. The meat portion was small and the plate was overwhelmed with grated carrots and pickled onions. The shrimp sauté with the tomato sauce was also extremely salty. This is the best Bosphorous yet. The food is amazing at every location but the atmosphere at this location is fantastic. The outdoor patio is incredibly relaxing and beautifully designed. It's a must visit kind of place. My husband and I ordered all of our favorites. We started with Fried Liver ($11.95), Lavas ($4.95), garlic yogurt ($2.50) and Babaganoush & Haydari. ($10.50) The Beef Liver is hand cut and fried. They serve it over french fries with a side of sliced red onions. I am not a huge fan of beef liver but the way that they prepare and season it changes everything. For entrees we decided to go with the Mixed Grill for two. ($43.95) This is a good choice because you get to try chicken and lamb prepared in different ways. It is served with rice and yogurt. For dessert we always order the Turkish coffee ($3.50), pistachio gelato ($6.50) with Kunefe. ($9.00) The gelato was very fresh and the Kunefe was cooked perfectly delicious. I have Celiac Disease, and our waiter, Megan, was super nice, knowledgeable, and respectful in how to offer more. She worked with the manager, Brian, and checked all the food before it came out. They have a great system to avoid cross-contamination, and from what I understand, they're this careful with all allergies. And the FOOD! I cannot describe how great the food was. 10/10 best food I've had in a while, especially considering it was all gluten free. Just as expected, this new location is perfection! All of the food was just as consistent as every location I've dined at! Nothing was lacking!! However, I will say it may be my new favorite location, based on atmosphere! They have a beautiful out door seating. Having frequently visited the Bosphorus restaurants in town, I'm happy to say the best one is in our neighborhood! The size, layout and outdoor space sets this place far above the others! The lavas bread is always a must with their very good hummus and Baba ghanoush to start. You really can't go wrong but one of my favorite is the chicken sauté - with either the lemon or cream sauce both to die for! I'm going to start off with excellent service and deliciously prepared Turkish cuisine! First time at a Bosphorous. We went on their soft opening. At the time, they were not taking any reservations. It was a 30 min wait on a Saturday night around 7:30pm. Our group of 4 found some seats at the bar to start our pre-drinking while we waited. I had the Turkish peach martini. YUM! And boy did it get me there quick. Prepared strong, bold. Perhaps it did because I had an empty stomach. My husband had an old fashion in which he enjoyed. We were sat 10 minutes earlier than expected. Boom! I was a happy camper because I was ready to eat. Our server greeted us "Hosgeldiniz". It means welcome. Our server was a "10". She was informative, funny, friendly and so attentive. We told her right away there were allergies in our party. She got the manager to come by the table to go over the menu in detail. We talked for a good 10 minutes. He was so thorough and made the recommendations to ensure my friends' safety and enjoyment. So to the food. For appetizers we got the Babaganoush and the hummus. It came out with "Lavas" hollow bread. So fresh and delish. I only wished the portions of the Babaganoush and hummus were larger. Entrees: my husband and I shared the mixed grill for two and it was enough for 2.5 people. Large portion. Chicken and lamb prepared Kebap and Kofte style. It was served with yogurt and rice. My friend had the lamb shanks that I invaded. Wow. It was so tender and full of flavor. It was braised over 5 hours. My friend gave up dessert for Lent. Respectively we didn't have dessert. It was probably good because I was stuffed and am sure I ate and drank my calories for the next 2 days in that sitting. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu. Megan is a SUPERSTAR!!! What a delightful experience. The restaurant is simply amazing and this location is unbeatable. We decided to seat outside and had the pleasure of having Megan as our server. She made our experience a memorable and was very accommodating. She explained the menu and made awesome recommendations LIKE A PRO! Absolutely amazing service. I would say that probably 75% of the items we ordered were recommended by her and each one of them was amazing. The babaganoush was seasoned to perfection and the Ezeke tasted very fresh. My wife and I both ordered the lamb flank. It was very tender and full of flavor. Sadly, it Gad great flavor but was not our favorite. We were both expecting to experience a new flavor but it tasted like a well done roasted beef. I didn't experience that explosion of flavor and spices that I thought it would have, but still it was absolutely delicious. Finally, we finished with the pistachio baklava and a Turkish coffee. I highly recommend both! We had all this food and spent only around $77 + tips. We will definitively come back with friends and family. The place is lovely. Last night, my friend and I had a wonderful experience at their newest location! We beat the rush by getting there around 5pm. Was greeted and sat outside right away (heads up-being this is one of the only open restaurants in the area & a smaller space, around dinner time, it has been slammed and on a wait every night) our server, Jennifer was so friendly and attentive! Staff can make or breaks a restaurant in my opinion. Being it was earlier in the evening (happy hour is EVERY DAY 4-7) we only had drinks and appetizers. I ordered the Ottoman, a gin drink topped with Prosecco, that was light and refreshing. I asked Jennifer for recommendations and she helped us chose the cold appetizer sampler. I have a dairy allergy and she knew quickly told me what I needed to stay away from, bonus points. We of course ordered their famous Lavas bread and also got an order of calamari. It was all delicious, we picked away as we sipped our drinks for ...2.5 hours! Jennifer was constantly checking on us, even after they started filling up, which was so wonderful! We finished the experience with a Turkish coffee and chocolate hazelnut baklava, hashtag perfection. Note - this is "finer dining" which comes along with higher prices and smaller portions. Happy hour is freaking awesome... no food but 1/2 off the whole bar (yes everything) Also, just be aware, if you have kiddos there is no kids menu offered. Been here twice now - the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had 3 kids and they had no room except outside. It because so cold that they found us room inside and moved all our food and drinks In. Second time, there was barely a wait, they brought food out and the manager even stopped by to make sure all was well. The meze platter is great with lots of dips and the lavas is a must! Really delicious, came here with my gf and her sister and husband. You know food is really good when you have a group and nobody is really saying anything while the food is out. We started with the mix appetizer with lavas bread. Would highly recommend it for everybody. I got the lamb shanks. It was fall off the bone and super tender. The rest of the table got lamb dishes that were all delicious. The portion size they give you is very generous as well. We finished off with the two types of baklava. Even though I'm a huge fan of chocolate and hazelnut, you should stick with the traditional pistachio. Service here was really good. Our server was very attentive and always came by to make sure we were attended too. One thing about reservations is make sure you actually make it for Winter GARDEN. I was very disappointed. The food was not good. I had a lamb ground kabob that lacked any flavor and it was suppose to be spicy? The side vegetables were suppose to be marinated, but they were just "raw" - raw carrots, cabbage, and raw onions. The service was very bad, except for the bartender.
