I have been to this restaurant many times but this is the first time I decided to check out this newer location. While I like the ambiance and setup of the one on Park Avenue better, the food was still top quality and delicious. Every time I go I get the mixed appetizer with lavas. It really allows you to get a taste of everything. It's so light and fresh, yet filling enough to make a meal of it if there are just two people. The grape leaves have a bit of sweetness in the rice and a nice touch with the addition of nutmeg. The traditional hummus is one of the best hummus I've ever had. Honestly I can't go into too much detail because it's so hard to describe it. The dips are all so different and all so delicious. And what I love most is that each time I go, I find myself having a new favorite. The flavors just get better and better. The bread of course makes it. It comes out looking like a giant bubble. The edges perfectly crispy and the inside soft and tender. Even a little olive oil and sesame seeds sprinkled over it to give it more texture and flavor. This location has really gone downhill quality wise. I understand it's COVID times but we've given them tons of chances the last few months and nothing has changed. We have only ordered take out and delivery during this time. I almost always get the same thing, lamb sis. I've started to order it rare because they no longer can figure out medium rare (this was becoming a problem even before Covid and when we were dining in). We live about 2 miles away so the food isn't sitting for too long by the time we get it home to eat it. However, it's still usually well done. Sometimes requests are not followed, such as no dressing on the veggies. There's been times where they have forgotten the veggies the meal comes with all together. Tonight was especially ridiculous. We ordered a meal and requested no dressing on the vegetables, instead on the side. We ordered a side of the yogurt sauce which costs extra. We also ordered an appetizer that we always order. When our meal arrived the request about the sauce wasn't followed and they gave extra sauce. We did not receive the yogurt we paid extra for. The appetizer was half the size it usually is. We called and spoke to a manager, something we never do, and the manager told us we were basically lying. He said the staff definitely gave us the yogurt, the appetizer was normal size and they followed all directions. I'm sorry, but we literally ordered here a few days before and there was a huge difference. I have also gotten this appetizer to go on it's own many times. I know the portion. Further, why would we lie about not receiving the yogurt sauce we ordered? This used to be our go to place pre-Covid. We would go here a lot for just apps and drinks or for a meal, but things just aren't the same. read more

What a great Turkish restaurant! Talk about FRESH!!! I have never had a bad experience at this location!! The portion sizes are great and I always leave with doggie bag. From beginning to end...starters, mains, and desserts are amazing!! Some favorites are lamb shanks, the whole snapper and the pineapple cake. We love to sit outside because the ambiance is cool. In the evenings they light their fire pits and it's a lovely places for a few drinks with friends. The wait staff are knowledgeable and always friendly. They add to the great experience. read more

What an enjoyable dining experience. Was sat immediately but due to some confusion in the front, no one came to the table for well over five or six minutes. So a bit of a bad start on service, especially since the restaurant was largely empty. Ordered a couple of beers and the lavas bread with the mixed appetizer! Super delicious. I've tried this place multiple times hoping it would improve. I don't know what the deal is with this location. One meal will be great and the next completely inedible. For example, I went for drinks and Lavas bread before a movie the other night and the lavas bread was undercooked and doughy. Only food we got and they couldn't make sure it was cooked fully. I have the Salmon so overcooked it was a rock and so undercooked it could be sushi...I wish this place could figure it out. It's so close to my house and I would love to have a dependable decent meal nearby. read more

The location is amazing with plenty outdoor patio seating. The food in this location tasted better than the Dr Philips location. We always go for the mixed grill for two and add any of the stews along with the freshly baked lavash bread and some dips like babaghanoug and ezzme. That would be plenty food for four. The mixed grill comes with amazing rice and plenty of fresh sumac sprinkled onions and cabbage/carrots salad. The sumac helps maintain the inion flavour while avoiding the onion breath later. This was my first time in the restaurant, however very familiar with Turkish food. The food was tasteless, sloppy, and did not taste like any Turkish food I've ever eaten. The pita was not at all like real pita and was lukewarm. The service was mediocre, and disappointing. I observed the waitress was playing with her phone in the kitchen, And our order was not correct. There was no trying to make it better just said OK closed her order book and left. I hope others experience a different story but I will not be returning. read more

First time at this establishment and was a little disappointed. I was visiting from out of town for a birthday celebration and decided to eat here on our last night. We made reservations for our party of eight and was seated quickly when we arrived. Our waiter, Johnny, was attentive, friendly and helpful. He gave suggestions about the food and drinks. He answered all questions that my party had. He is the main reason I for the three stars because the food took away some stars. To start off, if you have kids in your party beware there's only two options for them. Chicken tenders or pizza(this may not always be available). The kids enjoyed the tenders and fries. Now to the main course, I don't feel like the food was authentic Turkish dishes. I had the lamb and it was so tough. The rice tasted plain, with no flavor at all. We decided to check out this new restaurant that's right around the corner from us. We were excited to try something new! We opted for the bread and mixed appetizer sampler that gave us all of the appetizers in one. It was nice to try so many new things so we could decide what we liked. We weren't extremely hungry, so after the appetizer we skipped the main entree and went right to dessert. We both got a couple of drinks. I did the Old Fashioned Turk, and then tried the New Turk Sour. Between the two, my favorite was the second. It still had the base of an old fashioned but adding the wine in was a pleasant surprise. I've been to the Bosphorous location in Dr. Phillips as well as Lake Nona, and was excited to see one in Winter Garden. I was in the area doing a couple of errands and decided to stop in for lunch with my husband. The restaurant is just as beautiful as the others and boasts a really spacious outdoor section. There's a really nice section that has a few chairs around a fire pit. I went with some of my usual go-to's - if it ain't broke, why fix it. We started off with the hummus and lavash bread. The bread is always fun to watch deflate and it tasted great! The hummus was awesome as well. For my lunch, I went with the doner kebap. Even though it was the lunch portion, it was hefty! It came with at least four pieces of meat over a large bed of rice pilaf. This may sound strange, but one of my favorite things about Bosphorous is the pickled veggies that accompany the entrees - it's a mixture of carrots, red onion, and beets. I'm not sure what they put in the vinaigrette/pickling mixture but it is out of this world. Just the right amount of tang and pairs so well with the meat. My husband went with the chicken adana kepab. Even though it was only one piece of meat, he was barely able to finish his meal. I wasn't able to grab a bite, but he raved about how well seasoned the meat was. Looking forward to coming back and branching out a bit and trying more of the menu. read more

We came in a Thursday night with a big appetite after turning down at the brand new Ford's garage. It was their opening day and wait was over 2 hours. We haven't got a chance to check out this beautiful restaurant so it's a perfect opportunity. The wait was 30 mins for an indoor table. So we hopped over to Walmart and by the time we came back, we got the text message that our table is ready. Big plus for having the messaging system. We wanted to try more food and really experience everything. What we ordered: - Two appetizers for $10, came together in a small plate; I liked the taste and flavor but it's quite expensive for small amount of dips in my opinion; won't order them again; - Flaming stone bread. This is the best thing we had for the night. Good price and taste. We fully enjoyed it; - Turkish crush cocktail. Very good price for like $10 bucks. It is refreshing and tasty. I would order this drink again. - Turkish beer. Tastes like a light tap beer. Won't order it again, but glad we tried it. It' also $7 for a very small beer. - combo for two. This entree has a lot of food. We tried a bit of everything. Our favorite is the chicken kabob. Next time we'll just got that. We had a good time at the restaurant and enjoyed the food and leftovers. Love Bosphorous - first time at this location. Sorry for the lack of photos. Typically the camera eats first, but not today!! Hungry after a movie and a few beverages at a local brewery so we stopped here to grab a bite to eat. Korey was our server and was super helpful and kind immediately!! Got the 'pick two' app - the lavash bread is amazing and the hummus and cold cucumber dip were good as well. Hummus could have used a touch of seasoning, but I had black salt on the rim of my glass - added it and we were good!! Lol Hubby had doner kabob - more than anyone could really eat at once. I had the shrimp casserole. Incredibly filling - brought the majority of it home, but I'll enjoy it tomorrow as well!! Stop by, even if you've not tried this cuisine. Bosphorous is consistently serving delicious Turkish cuisine in a stylish upscale environment. The Winter Garden location located in the new ever-growing Hamlin area is no exception. This location serves up tasty grill favorites like the lamb or chicken adena paired with a fluffy rice pilaf and the perfect acidity of the red onion, beet, carrot sides. You must have the lavas bread or what my son calls balloon bread, along with the pick two favorites from the apps and have a go! We like the baba ganoush with its smoky creamy flavor and the ezme which is like a salsa or bruschetta. My vegetarian friends can try the falafel which is cooked flat instead of round that I'm used to. This allows for it to be extra crispy all around and pairs well with the lavas or the accompanying dip. I wish they made a platter with the rice and other fixin's, I would definitely order! The Hamlin location is a bit different than the Winter Park or Dr Phillips location in that it is more open concept. There is great lighting from the huge wall windows that looks out to the nice patio seating area. But there are still Turkish influenced lighting and architecture throughout like the other locations. Our waiter was prompt and friendly. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and provided just enough conversation without being overbearing. So glad to have a restaurant like this in the area. Wowowowow. Taste buds were going bananas here! To start we had the Lavas bread with hummus, which was so good. It looks like a big puff, but it's all air. As soon as you tear it, it deflates. It tastes so fresh. The entree is definitely a toughy to pick because everything sounds so good, but I definitely knew I wanted to go with lamb. I had the Special Beyti Kebap and WOW. If you are undecided - get this! It was tender and full of flavor, I couldn't stop eating it when I was full. It comes with lots of raw veggies and rice, which could probably be shared if you get an appetizer. read more
