Burnt Asiago bagel with cream cheese

Worst experience ever! Ordered a Asiago bagel with plain cream cheese. The bagel was burnt. It's unbelievable that this was served to a customer

Vegan travelers, you have a friend in the San Antonio Airport! Boss Bagel's got your belly AND your travel hangries. I was pleasantly surprised to find an airport bagel vendor with tofu spread AND peanut butter, best enjoyed separately.

Best Bagel shop in SA! So glad our visitors get a chance to try it at the airport. Service is good and it's a cute little airport stop. (And you really should check out the Alamo heights location!)

This is the second time I have been to Boss Bagel in the airport and customer service is always great. So many selections of cream cheese and bagels to choose from. I ended up getting the French toast with mixed berry ,it was so tasty.

I never worry when I fly out of this airport and haven't eaten. I know I can always stop at boss bagel to grab a bite. They have a great variety of smears/cream cheese spreads. Servers are always helpful when it comes to explaining the different flavors and making recommendations. Very small space so expect to take your bagel to go.

Bacon Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese

As someone from New York, I am pretty critical of my bagels, but with the San Antonio Airport offering little in the way of slightly healthy food before a flight, I decided to go with a bagel. Our flight was midday so they were out of a lot of the options for both bagels and cream cheese, but I was able to snag a Bacon bagel with scallion cream cheese. The service was friendly and the bagel came out very fast. There were a few seats at the place to sit down as well, but you definitely couldn't get a group of more than 4 people together so you're probably better off sitting at your gate. All in the all, the bagel and cream cheese was fine. Nothing to write home about - the bacon didn't come through much although it was nice to have a savory bagel. Not a bad option for an airport stop.

I heard about Boss Bagel from a Yelp friend from San Antonio, and he raved about how great their bagel sandwiches were. When I saw that Boss Bagel had a location inside the San Antonio International Airport (SAT), I knew I had to pay them a visit. I arrived after 2 PM on a Saturday, and Dashun was there to take my order. I thought I remembered seeing him warmly welcome other customers, but I didn't get that same vibe from him. Perhaps I caught him at an off time? Anyways, I was hoping to get the Slammin' Salmon, but he mentioned they were out of several ingredients. Then why is it still on their menu then?! Shouldn't they at least have a "Sold out" sign somewhere? There was not, so I had to think of a Plan B on the spot. My backup choice was The Athlete, but they were out of egg whites as well. Dashun mentioned he could use a fried egg instead, which luckily wouldn't incur an upcharge. I waited about 5 minutes before his co-worker wrapped my bagel sandwich in aluminum foil and placed it in a paper bag. I was expecting a decent sandwich after reading my Yelp friend's review of a different Boss Bagel in San Antonio, but this sandwich didn't do the trick. The bagels weren't really toasted, and they were quite dense for my liking, overpowering the veggies and egg in The Athlete. There is a TV off to the side that shows the process of how they make their bagels, and it looks kind of cool as if they were the #1 bagel shop in the world. Far from it if what I had was indicative of how the rest of their menu really is. I'm almost certain I would have enjoyed the Slammin' Salmon better, but the Athlete was overall a disappointment. If I ever make a return visit, I would be open to trying another bagel sandwich from Boss Bagel, but it would almost certainly be in a location outside of the airport.

Smoked Salmon bagel was delish! The customer service was great and quick. It was your typical quick airport ambiance with busyness.

The food was delicious and quick to get to me after I ordered it. Line was down the hall though, so I guess everyone else liked it too.

If you are looking for some delicious homemade pastries and bread, you have come to the right spot!…read moreMy husband first mentioned to me that he knew of someone who made some amazing breads so I had to try it for myself! We ordered the everything bagel and jalapeno bagel, a loaf of sourdough bread, pretzel dogs and hand pies and let me tell you IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Our order was delivered to the door by Jeanine herself and she is the sweetest and most approachable person! Once we got our order, my husband and I went to town to try a piece of everything! The everything bagel and jalapeno bagel just as you imagined it- so fragrant as if you were to have picked it up yourself at the bakery but with a twist! It was so so fluffy and with each bite, we got a piece of the jalapeno or everything seasoning on it! Perfect texture, perfect amount of chew! After we snacked on the bagels, we decided to make our way to the loft of sourdough bread. OH MY GOODNESS, the loft of bread is a hefty size for one but when we sliced into it, that CRISP from the first slice sent us to the moon! The sourdough was fluffy on the inside and nice and crispy on the outside. We immediately looked at each other, smiled and took a big bite out of it! Once we were done mooning over the sourdough bread, we made our way to the pretzel dogs. The pretzel dogs were wrapped with a flaky crust and full of flavor as well. We decided that this would be the perfect snack idea or lunch idea for the kiddos or even for my husband himself. Very compact, portable and easy to eat. Who knew that something so simple would taste this delicious when you have it freshly made with homemade dough instead of store bought?! Last but not least, my favorite were the hand pies! For one, I've never had something called a "hand pie" but two, they are adorable! Literally, a hand pie is a pie that fits into your hand but these are just even more special! You can tell that it was homemade as no two pies were identical but they tasted amazing! A flaky crust with a coating of sugar crystals on the outside and bursting with fruit and filling on the inside! The hand pies even have a heart cut out in the front as well. Super adorable and oh so yummy! Will we be ordering again? YOU BET!!! Everything we got was stellar and we can't wait to try more of what Jeanine has to offer! We love supporting small and local businesses! Prices are reasonable as well- remember, when you're supporting small and local businesses, prices are going to be a little bit more expensive compared to the mass produced market items, but you are getting quality items that have been handmade (which takes time) with locally sourced ingredients. All in all, y'all need to order from one punch dough and try her amazing pastries and breads. You won't regret it!

It has a large outdoor area with picnic tables, fans and water misters. There was one family that was letting their kids run like crazy so we sat inside. It's a bit warm- lots of windows with odd setup. It is counter service- so you order and they deliver. They have beer, a few wine and cider. We were on the fence overall but then my husband tasted his beer- 5/5. And the food came out: pizza 5/5 (probably the best pizza I've had in SA) and smoked turkey sandwich (whoa! Smokey but not over smoked where you are burping the taste hours later) with fries 5/5 (crisp, seasoned perfectly). We will definitely be back and so should you. You should try it now.

I think the reason I didnt "love" the pizza is because its so different with the sourdough base and not what i am used to. I would like to return and try a sandwich or something else on the menu. Service was fast and friendly, and the place was clean and welcoming. My main reason for trying out wild barley was because they have sour beers, it wasnt the best sour beer i have ever had, but i have noticed in Texas the sour beers have a strange taste to them that i cant quite put my finger on. Overall though it was refreshing and cold. my husband really enjoyed the cider. We will be back and i hope after trying something different on the menu to change my review to 5 stars,

I placed an order and walked to the coffee shop, only to be informed that they were bought out and didn't even have my order or the right ingredients to make it. I took a long walk just to go there to pay $12 for coffee that didn't exist and a coffee shop that doesn't exist as of 2 weeks ago! They need to take their ordering down and website if they won't fulfill your order. It's absolutely stealing my money!!!!!
