The "Pooh Bear" sandwich with chips
    Trish G.

Had been wanting to try this place for a long time, wish I had stopped by earlier. It was busy, but the owner was extremely nice and we didn't wait long to place our order. In fact, I was amazed that he was taking the orders, making the sandwiches, and ringing up customers so quickly and efficiently that my order was ready right when I finished paying. I tried the Pooh Bear sandwich with peanut butter, honey, bananas, and walnuts served on TX toast. It was served with chips, but the sandwich was so filling, I only ate a few chips. My friends ordered the Pooh Bear, the Razz, and the Egg-collect. Everyone loved their selection. We enjoyed dining in as the restaurant was clean and had a comfortable vibe. I felt like I was eating my meal at a friend's house. I will return to try more sandwiches!

As soon as you walk in the smell is amazing Excellent service. The owner takes his time to tell you about the sandwiches. The Eggcellent is simply delicious. I would not have thought of eggs and peanut butter, but my God it is heavenly. Will definitely be back.

What's not to say about this restaurant that hasn't already been said? PB&J with Tay made for a cute date and a unique dining experience. The sandwiches were pretty creative and the dining area was very aesthetically pleasing. I would write more about this place but with so many positive reviews, I think it's better if you try it for yourself. The only important detail unrelated to the food is that I don't believe there is a handicap accessible entrance; this place is located on the 2nd story of a building. Would still recommend for a fun outing.

It was my first time eating here, but it won't be my last. There are a lot of delicious choices on the menu but I opted for the Daily Special aka The Hearty! When took that first bite into the sandwich, the peanut butter, jelly and everything else immediately covered the corners of my mouth. Luckily I was able to lick it off and not have the goodness drop on the table. The service is great! They were kind of busy and only the two people working the counter, but we still received our order in a reasonable amount of time. The space is quaint and looks like a time capsule in some aspects. It's cozy and airy. It's also in an upstairs location so be prepared to WALK up the stairs. I want to try and different sandwich next time, but I'll probably stick with The Hearty PB&J!

Love me a good OG PB&J but came across these cute place. They took PB&J and took it to the next level! I got the Texans which was a peanut butter with the blackberry Jalapeño jam and bacon on Texas toasted bread. It was so good. We got to even meet the owner of the restaurant and we gave us a little history story of his business. We would be coming back for sure!

What a little surprise!! This little gem here was really cool! They got a good variety of PB&Js that are all customizable and a few options of jelly, including spicy ones, too! All sandwiches are served with chips, and surprisingly, very filling! The shop itself is small, cute, and very vintage and homey! A must-try for a lunch or pick-me-up snack!

The food was amazing and the vibes there were immaculate! The owners are very welcoming and engaged with the customers, and the food is brought fresh to you in the most cozy dine in area 10/10!

The service was great. A great little establishment the kids will definitely love. The indoor decor feels like your back at grandmas house, cute and cozy. We tried different types of PB&Js from cream cheese and bacon to banana and Nutella. No complaints of the tase and the portion sizes are good. Drinks sold separate. Located upstairs. Plenty of parking.

We found this place by accident! We were looking for some place to have brunch and this popped up. We were intrigued and decided to check it out. I am so glad we did! First, let me say, this place is really "cute". The decor is lots of tasteful antiques and a comfortable atmosphere. Now, let's get to the food. The restaurant has just been voted into the top 100 sandwich shops in the country! Not bad for an establishment, which only serves peanut butter sandwiches. But what sandwiches they are! I opted for the "Razz". Peanut butter, raspberry jam, Nutella, and granola. Since I am not a great fan of Nutella, I just asked them not hold it. No problem. The last ingredient was granola The sandwiches are all made on Texas Toast. They are lightly grilled as well. It was delicious! With a serving of potato chips, it really was a lot of food. I left a single bite of sandwich and a couple of chips. I was full. My wife had "The Texan". Texas Toast, lightly grilled with peanut butter, strawberry- jalapeño jam, bacon and we asked for cream cheese. The additions and deletions were simple. Tell them what you want and you'll get it. The food is copious and delicious. And, the couple who owns and runs it are charming and innovative. What more can you ask for? Good food in filling quantities, served by nice people, in comfortable surroundings. The formula is complete. Highly recommended!

We came here around lunch time on a Sunday and they weren't too busy. Plenty of open tables and I'd be surprised if you encountered too long of a wait. The staff were super friendly and gave great suggestions on what to order! I can't believe this idea isn't a thing in more places. If you're a peanut butter lover or even just have a sweet tooth this place is an absolute must go if you're in reasonable proximity of San Antonio. I had the double decker with strawberry and blackberry jalapeño jam and see why it's so highly recommended. I appreciate that the menu is a small step below state fare food in terms of craziness and the vibe is way more cozy family hangout. I am sure I'll be back here and can only hope it will be sooner rather than later

Eating here was delightful. I went by myself. The chalkboard menu was extensive, so I let the guy behind the counter give me advice. He suggested adding walnuts to my peanut butter and jelly sandwich with chocolate hazelnut spread, to cut the sweetness. He was so enthusiastic about the food, and I love to see it. Every meal is served on a vintage Corelle plate (if you know, you know). They toast the bread. They use top-notch ingredients. It's super cute inside. Go here.

The Egg-cellent (on the left) & The Double Decker Delight (on the right)

My girlfriend and I came for the first time right before they were about to close and the owner Jeremiah was nevertheless very welcoming and super helpful with suggestions! I got the Double Decker Delight (on the right) and my lady got the The Egg-cellent (on the left) and they were both delicious. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a cute spot with some elevated pb&js!

Do yourself a favor and fight for street parking. I walked up to the outside counter Saturday night about 7:20. Never been here. The ladies behind the counter obviously could NOT have cared less. No nice welcome...no pleasantries. Nothing said. I spoke first, asking about seating availability inside (it was chilly), and they were rude - looked at me like I was from outer space and said they didn't know. They said they didn't know in that "yeah, good luck with that...it's Saturday at 7, dumbass" kinda way. How could you not know? And if you truly didn't know, which one of them should have gone to check for me. So I went and checked myself. Turns out: plenty of seating. Returned to the chilly duo and placed my order. Ordered the Wake and Bacon burger. I also ordered a Topo Chico, which was also met with a blank "are you from this planet?" stare. How do you not have Topo Chico or something similar !? The burger was just okay. Tiny, but tasty. Fries were so salty and over-seasoned as to be almost inedible. No one checked on me after bringing me my burger. Not one time. The only reason I gave the third star: neat, dog friendly outside area which would be cool for a group outing. Probably not going back.
