As a Canadian, I found their poutine to be pretty disappointing. 1: The gravy wasn't any brown gravy that I've ever had. I'm not sure what it was, but it didn't have the beefy flavor one would expect, or the right color. If it was homemade they'd have been better off using anything else. 2. The gravy wasn't hot enough to melt the curds--so the curds were chunky and cold in the center. 3. My husband got the montreal smoked meat hand-held. It was too fatty, and where it wasn't too fatty, it was overcooked. $8 was not worth it for lukewarm gravy and fries. I was excited to find out that there was a place that claimed to serve 'Canadian poutine', but, I've had better from Burger King (in Canada). read more

Went last night with the family and we all had a great time. Ordered way too much food because the portions are generous and delicious. We had the Bavarian pretzels, which my kids devoured, the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, and the Artichoke Dip flatbread. The sandwich was stellar and the "flatbread" was more like a large pizza! I had the Sweet Carolina Flatbread and it was not only too large for one person it tasted awesome. I enjoy real pizza and not the commercial kind and if you feel the same way you will like it here. Wish I could give zero stars. Multiple things wrong with a to go order that was clearly not even started until after I'd arrived to pick it up. After an ordeal of incorrect repetitions, easily five times, while attempting to order over the phone I received everything in my order incorrectly. Once arrived I was asked over and over again what I had ordered, and then asked if I'd even ordered at all. I repeated my order, again, the last time I was asked what it was and was told that "yeah, hot chicken means we cooked it." Got the food home and everything was either wrong, over cooked to the point of being burned, or both. Maybe they're better dining in, but with the poor mask observance I saw I'll never know. I was going to give this place 3 stars for overall quality, but am giving it 4 for the effort and nice bartender who I assume is either an owner or manager. I was super excited when I saw their menu online because it had a ton of stuff I love, and my favorite cider! The cider was in a can and served warm, mildly disappointing start. The food was good, I just don't know if it's anything to really bring me back. Also, their beer selection for building/taking your own 6 pack to go is 95% IPAs, I can't stand IPAs, but it would be good for someone who likes them I suppose. read more

I was surprised to find a place in Cary serving up Poutine and Smoked Meat so I surprised my husband by taking him to lunch. We tried both along with a hot dog and everything was great. He said it was truly like the food in Montreal. This is truly a great little place - definitely worth the stop even for the hot dogs. First time here was August 2020 for girls night and was so good I convinced my family to go on a Saturday night. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment . Service was incredibly SLOW and we were the only ones in the place! Took more than 20 minutes to get our apps. Once arrived, the fried jalapeños were great. The Buffalo wings had a sauce that was thick, like a Buffalo flavored pizza sauce. Not a hit among the guys. The Texas Toast burger was a surprise- Texas toast usually means thick slices buttered and grilled, but here it was literally thick slices of bread toaster style, which meant it was dry. And for both burgers ordered, the bacon and cheese were literally cold; cheese not melted on the burger and bacon not warmed. I was really looking forward to my Southern dog, but it was barely warm and the bun was dried out/hard. Not sure what the issue was, certainly not that they were busy. They did adjust the bill for the burgers. I will give them a third try to see which experience is representative. read more

Poutine.... Heard about it. Never had a chance to try it. They offer several varieties here so my hubby and I just had to try. He ordered the original (gravy on top of french fried with cheese curds) and I got the "Memphis Meat". It is the Original with an additional topping of Beef Brisket. Both were very yummy. I now know why Canadians are addicted to them. Portions were large, too. I took home a doggy bag. FYI - this is the only way to reheat french fries that still taste good. I was worried about "cheese curds" - sounded like cottage cheese to me. But it is just a soft, white cheese that melts easily. And hubby had a Coke in a bottle made with real sugar - very hard to find these days. He was thrilled. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there were no crowds. I appreciate that. Oh, I am not a fan of pickles (Memphis Meat comes with pickles) and they were able to serve it to me without pickles. Double plus. It was yummy. Will certainly be back. read more

This place was open for a while before I heard about it. Wish I had known about it sooner! I love poutine, and it's so difficult to find. Theirs did not disappoint. The Nashville chicken is also amazing. Also love their beer selection, both on tap, and their bottle selection for buying and taking home. The atmosphere is like a true neighborhood bar. The only bad thing is the horrible cloud of cigarette smoke I had to walk through to get into the entrance yesterday evening. But that hasn't been the case on previous visits. read more
