We love Grandma B's and they are just so sweet (and sassy)! There's an older (than me) woman here…read morewho helped us on both sides who I think might be the owner. Or not but whoever she is, she's wonderful. We got ice cream, fudge, and truffles! All so good my pregnant heart was content. She was so gracious with samples and understood that sometimes when you're pregnant you think you want something and then it's awful. She even wanted to ensure that I sampled some of the fudged before committing. So kind! And not to mention she read the ingredients of the fudges and truffles to me so I could ensure I wouldn't get any I was allergic to. Extra mile points. The ice cream is Bluebell and the variety of flavors they have are GREAT! You can simply check the Bluebell site for which ones are gluten free which I did. We're heading back over from Port A, yes that's how great the service is in comparison to places on the island, to come here again.

The shop is adorable, right across from the water. It's the perfect little spot for a family outing, a solo treat, or a cute date. Thank you so much for the sweet experience!

Wowza...what a find! CLEAN, nicely decorated, with great wall art, excellent menu, and our server,…read moreStephanie was super! A versatile menu, the majority of which is seafood, as we're in Rockport, but look out for the PERFECT Ribeye. Cooked exactly as ordered, beautifully seasoned, and one of the most tender and flavorful Ribeye steaks, ever. It includes 3 very tasty, grilled shrimp, and two sides. I had the hottest baked potato ever, yum, and delicious green beans. Dylan enjoyed his steak enourmously, with creamed corn and a loaded baked potato. Although we arrived starving, we could both only eat half. No problem, lunch the next day and Bizou was thrilled. Thank you Stephanie! Also, for Rockport, they're open late (9 pm). But they still kindly greeted people at 8:45. Be kind folks, and show as they're shutting everything down!

Interesting restaurant. Seating inside mainly in 10 tables of 4. They can move together as needed…read more Friendly staff. Quick dining experience, in and out with no hassle. The faster they move you, the quicker they can break the table down and clean for the next person. Food was ok. My expectations were high based on the Google reviews. The white fish was the best part. The calamari was smh... the redfish was not great fried, I think next time I get it grilled. It was over cooked. The breading on the shrimp was different. Not terrible. Just different. My kids and I loved the Pho. The broth was clean, noodles were great and not over cooked. I'd definitely go back for the Pho. If you're looking for that one spot you can go for consistency and a bill that doesn't break your bank, this could be it? I'm struggling because I was impressed with the food scene at Rockport. Even Galveston was better, which is weird. I will say that it was better then Bubba's in Seadrift.

Good service and relaxing atmosphere…read more Service and atmosphere: As mentioned above haha. Our server was friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good seaside vibe. There are plenty of seating options on the patio where they also have opened bar area. The restaurant can accommodate many guests inside too. Food and drinks: Good selection of seafood dishes. I opted for wild caught salmon. The fish was cooked and seasoned well. We also chose sandwich with crab which was equally tasty. They offer great variety of cocktails. Pricing: $$ - definitely not overpriced and worth it.

Disgusting Kitchen Standards & An Absolute Joke of a "Discount"…read moreLet me start by saying our waitress was awesome. She was attentive, polite, and this 1-star review has absolutely nothing to do with her. This is entirely on management and the kitchen staff. We came in as a party of four and ordered appetizers. As soon as they hit the table, we pulled out two long hairs--one in each appetizer--right in front of our waitress. She was visibly startled and asked what she could do. Trying to be understanding guests, we told her not to worry, and she apologized and said she'd speak to the Back of House. When the main courses arrived, the food was okay, though it seriously lacked flavor and desperately needed salt. But the real insult came when the bill arrived. Since we had actual hair served in our food, we politely asked our waitress if a discount could be applied. She apologized, mentioned she hadn't been sure how to handle it initially, and went to speak to the manager. After a long wait, she came back with a "discounted" bill. The original total was $179 and change. The manager's grand gesture of a discount brought it down to $173 and change. But here is the absolute kicker: because we paid with a card, they tacked on debit card fees that brought the final total right back up to $179. Where the hell is the actual discount? In this day and age, almost no one carries cash. Sneaking in extra card fees to completely wipe out a "complimentary" discount for serving us hair is cheap, manipulative, and terrible business. If you're going to charge card fees, embed them in the food prices like a reputable establishment. Between whoever is cooking in the back without a hairnet and a management team that thinks a net-zero "discount" fixes serving unsanitary food, we will absolutely never be back. Step up your hygiene and your management standards.
