It is a 5-course luncheon with wine pairings hosted in their private enoteca overlooking the vines, complete with a personal attendant and private chef to curate the experience. ​The food was delicious, the wine selection was superb--including their Howell Mountain Cabernets (Cold Springs, Croquet, and Cima)--and the private room was the perfect intimate space. It was such a relief to have a private area where I didn't have to worry about disturbing other guests while having an infant in tow! ​However, I'm giving this experience 4 stars instead of 5 because it felt surprisingly generic for a winery that typically excels at personalization. In advance of our reservation, I was sent a questionnaire requesting our music preferences and celebration details, but neither were acknowledged during the visit. Why ask for that information if it isn't going to be used? It felt like a missed opportunity to make the experience truly magical. ​Overall, it was a good experience with top-tier food and wine, but I expected a bit more of that "Clif Family magic" when it came to the details.

The wines are fantastic, but what really makes the experience special is the hospitality. Marcel was an incredible host: knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about the wines. He made the tasting both educational and fun, and he was so easy to talk to that the experience felt more like spending time with a friend than a typical wine tasting. The tasting room itself is beautiful and filled with the unique artwork and personality that Orin Swift is known for. If you're planning a visit, I highly recommend requesting Marcel. He made an already great experience even better. We're so glad we made Orin Swift our first stop this trip. Once inside the large upstairs tasting venue, we were treated to a nice wine tasting by Riana. The wines were nice. I'm a Cabernet person but I enjoyed the sparking rose. Refreshing and not too sweet. I wish we would have had more time to view some of this historic photos and explore the downstairs part of the venue as it looked interesting but perhaps another time when we return to Napa.

Aging will diminish the tannins in the bottle, he said. Their bags and boxes might need to be fortified. I saw a woman with a box of 4 bottles where the box started to fall apart on her. The bag I had for the $60 bottle I bought didn't feel that secure so I cradled it with both hands as we left. Prices have clearly gone up for the wines. Hope to be back.

All of the wines we tasted were amazing and it was nice that we got to compare different vintages of the same wine. The appetizer pairings were also delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting here and highly recommend this winery!
