I really wasn't planning on getting a manicure but after seeing my hands...I had a change of heart. They did an amazing job with my hands that when Vincent got to do my pedicure...it was heavenly. Vincent was so gentle applying lotion and both of then did a great job in showing me the nail color before committing to the cause. Decided to give this place a chance since they didn't require an appointment. The owner is very nice. The reason for the low review is the quality of the work well the way they held up. The 2nd day a nail broke and by the end of the week they all started to lift. I tried to salvage them you know crazy glue but that didn't help. Again the work looked nice she did put great effort in; the lasting of it was horrible. Both times I came, SHE DID NOT CUT MY NAILS STRAIGHT. First time, two of my nails were slanted. 2nd time, as you can see in the picture, my toe nails are not even. My fingernails look HORRIBLE. She tried to "smooth it out" my nails with the drill thingie and she didn't smooth it out at all. I don't think it'd be fair to show a picture since I've started peeling off some of the nail polish myself but on day 2, the polish was already chipping (no I haven't been cleaning or anything to cause the polish to chip) She did not file my nails down correctly and my nails just look so bad. read more

There sign clearly says closes at 6, I show up at 5:30, trying to fix a nail that they messed up on. They had the doors locked and one of the girls came out and asked "what do you want" no, "hello how can I help you" just a rude "what do you want" and I asked if I can get it fixed and she pointed they were closed but it clearly said 6, she then closes the door on me and walks away. I will admit I have been to many nail and spa salons in the Valley. Today was my very first visit to Kimmie and Vincent's nail salon on Russel and Boulder. This is a 10 star business. Calm and serene with outstanding customer service. They take their time and do not rush you through your spa time. Most importantly they still use the old fashioned UV drier which lasts much longer than the ones they use at some of the other Salons. (Da Vi Nails on marks as an example). If you want a great experience and are not in a hurry make a reservation and see this family owned business. They really take pride in ownership. Keep up the great work. read more

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! If I could give zero stars, I would. The people (who I won't even refer to as nail technicians), were performing a pedicure on my feet when they CUT the bottom of my foot and then called me a LIAR and yelled at me and told me that the cut had already been there, which it obviously hadn't (the cut which they did was bleeding and had erythema around the edges because it had just happened). If the cut would have already been present, I wouldn't have gone in for a pedicure in the first place and they would have noticed a cut during the first five minutes before they cut me. While the cut upset me, the accusatory demeanor of the staff was rude and totally uncalled for. I got up and left after being treated so horribly. With all of the nail salons in the Valley, go somewhere else. Such a horrible "nail spa" with rude, condescending, accusatory staff. read more

WORSE PLACE EVER! My sister in law and I were looking for places to get our nails done at. We came across Boulder Nail & Spa we were looking forward to get our nails done there. The sign on the door and online said they were still opened but once we tried to go in I attempted to open the door and a very rude employee closed the door in front of our faces and stated they were closed (she rushed to close the door as soon as she saw us) I asked her why she closed the door when the sign states it is open and got a very rude response "we are closed get out"! They have new owners since I have been in The lady owner kept passing us (customers) back and forth between the employees. As a customer that is the most irritating thing. They are a walk-in salon but I recommend making an appointment. As others have mentioned sometimes they can rush a customer, I find this happens less when I have an appointment. Kimmy does great acrylic nails and eyebrows, but if you are getting shellac than have the gentleman with the tattoos do it (forgot his name). He doesn't go right up to the cuticle and the polish will last three weeks instead of two with Kimmy. The fact that the salon is very clean keeps me going even though sometimes its not relaxing as others. That and again, Kimmy does great eyebrows. I have naturally thick eyebrows and she keeps the natural shape, just cleans them up; not to thin like a lot of others try to do! read more

Where should I begin. They used to be good. I don't know what happened but customer service and quality of their work has gone way down. It's very very unlikely that I would ever go back there. And I used to go there a lot because it's close to where I live. But the last couple of times I was there it was just bad service and my nails didn't look as good. Today I got a manicure and deluxe pedicure. My manicure was literally 5 min. My nails look bad and he ( Mike) rushed right through. I don't know why he was in a hurry. There was one other person in there. It's not like they were busy. Don't get a deluxe pedicure it's a waste of money. It's the same as their regular one except its $10 more because they wrap a towel around your legs. Big deal. Rush rush rush. Well I figured out why he was rushing me so much - he had another lady coming. I was in the middle of my pedicure when she walked in and he said I'm ready for you. I do not mind waiting if you have an appointment because I'd rather you do a good job. So don't go there. Do your research and get a place that will do a good job and make you feel relaxed and happy. read more

I have been going here for years, I came here when it had different ownership and new ownership! I love this place, the owner is so friendly and sweet! I walk in and they all ask me how I am and say hello! They know my son since he's always tagging along and ask how he's doing in school. On the rare occasion that he is not with me, they always ask where he is. I sent my mom here too and they always ask me how she is. It's a family like atmosphere and I never feel like just another dollar figure for them. Im bad about appointments because of my crazy schedules so usually I call up to See if they have anything available for me that day and they always get me right in, which is awesome because my schedule is so packed at times. I appreciate their consideration to get me in (sometimes my eyebrows become bushes lol)! I'm out here on a small vacation with my boyfriend for a few weeks staying at his family's vacation house. I wanted to get my acrylic nails back on (new set). The man that works there walked up to me while I was getting my toes done and sat down next to me and proceeded to start my nails, glue them on, file etc. Once my toes were done i moved over to one of the desks where he could finish my nails. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! He was so rough with my nails and fingers, squeezing the sides of them so hard I could relax my hand. When he would tell me to relax my hand I would have to yell at him because I couldn't! Also when he was using the grinder tool thing whatever it is called, & he cut me several times on almost ALL OF MY FINGERS!! Some cuts were also made by the nail file, some were deep cuts too. He didn't even speak to me! I was deffinatley bleeding if you were wondering. Safe to say I'm never going back there and he did NOT recieve a tip. Hoped this help. I got a full set and they were pretty nice people and did a good job. Went back for fills and the first nail tech in the door was the rudest person. Could care less about doing a good job. She burned me twice and I have a huge sore in my nail bed. Next time she/they want to talk not nice about the customers um make sure we don't understand. This salon has only ever had two people working there. It seems they dont want much business because I literally came THREE times asking for a pedicure, first time I came at 920 am, the lady owner asked that I come back because someone was supposedly scheduled at 930. There was only one other person there at the time. Couple days later I come back at 530pm with an extra person and they turn us away again bc they said they're about to close, next day we came back at 5pm and this time, the lady owner simply gives us a terrible look and says we can't get serviced together, we'll need to wait, while the male makes a comment of "you come back at the same time as before". I understand there's hours of operation but it seems it doesn't matter what time we came, they just weren't going to give us service. My brother has gotten a pedicure here before and he got an infection in his toe after the lady owner removed an ingrown. I come here out of convenience because it's right across from my apartment, never again. EVERYONE COME TO NAIL ENVY JUST 1.3 mi away, they have a FULL staff of professionals and also a %10 with the yelp coupon. read more
