    Brisket blend burger

I have no idea why this place has such a low rating. This is one excellent burger spot - the buns are soft and homemade tasting, the patties are smashed thin but super flavorful and well balanced, fresh veggies and delicious fries and sauces. Nothing was a miss... I'd definitely return.

Boulevard Burger cooks up tasty burgers and fries in Castro Valley! The other day, I had a late lunch at Blvd Burger. It was my first time there, so I just went with the Blvd Burger w/ cheese. For an extra $6, I added fries and a drink and ate in the dining room. When I was ordering, the gentleman taking my order kept trying to get me to add more toppings to raise the price of my burger. Bacon? BBQ sauce? Onion Rings? No to all. My Blvd Burger w/ Cheese was over $10 alone. So I grab a table near the window, looking out to the off street parking lot. There's tables outside too. The place has a colorful decor like an old burger joint might have. I got myself some iced tea from the fountain machine. As I waited, I could smell the aroma of burgers frying on a grill. The server arrives with my burger and fries in a basket. When you're at a burger joint, you have to eat the food fresh from the kitchen. The burger is hot and juicy, and the fries are still crispy. My Blvd Burger was delicious! Hot, juicy, and full of flavor. Excellent french fries. Crispy on the outside, and tender soft on the inside. Lightly seasoned, and held up well to ketchup. Okay, your food is very good, but over $18 for a Blvd Burger, Fries, and Drink was a little pricey. Would I return? Maybe, if I had a serious burger craving. ------------------------ Review #2100

We ate here last night. It has its own parking lot. That was nice. Also enjoyed the holiday decor. Atmosphere was nice. The workers were nice, but seemed a bit slow. Waited for our food for a bit. The food was only okayyyyy. I think for a burger that costs $13.95 I expected more. The patty seemed small and not as much flavor. I did enjoy the fries though!

    Blue Cheese Burger

Just ordered from here like an hr ago. I got the Bleu Cheese Burger w/a side of onion rings and a soda. I ordered medium rare with added bbq sauce. The onion rings said I can get two dips and I put ranch and chipotle aioli. What I received was a burger with no bbq and was medium. Onion rings that were cold and a few burnt as well as two ranch's. It's like they said screw what you ordered, we're gonna prepare it the way we want! I mean the food wasn't bad but it wasn't how I ordered it. That's very annoying.

We were craving burgers and needed somewhere nearby so we stopped by boulevard burger. It was pretty empty on a weeknight. We got our food pretty quick. The interior is decorated nicely in wood and bright lights. There's a good amount of indoor seating and a few tables for outside as well. There's parking lot itself is fairly small, but the restaurant is located near a residential area and across from a plaza. The burger itself was alright. I got the hot stuff burger and it was pretty greasy. The fried jalapeños were interesting, but there was no spice to it. After eating the burger, my hands were slicked with grease from the burger and I just felt heavy after. Price wise, I'd considered it pretty pricey. My burger was around the $13-15 range and just not worth the price.

This is the best picture I could get because my son never lets me see the burger. He eats it too fast. This is his go to place for a burger. He absolutely loves it. He loves going in ordering. And getting his Kobe burger! He always gets an Oreo milkshake and some chicken tenders too, which are always steaming hot and fresh! Nothing tastes frozen, or old, or like old oil! It's all fresh, crispy and the portions are a perfect size!! Don't get me started on the spicy grilled chicken, sheesh, just go!!!

    "Arriving customers"
    Alyssa N.

Terrible service, placed an online order and got the notification that was order was ready. I arrived to the restaurant 10 minutes after the completion time. Order was not ready. The cook behind the counter was very rude. He told me to go sit down and wait for order and as I stated I don't want to sit down he got aggressive and stated I have to sit down until my order is complete due to the walkway needing to be empty for arriving customers. Mind you I've been sitting at the restaurant for the last 15 minutes and still no order is ready. Management needs to talk with their staff very unpleasant visit. Will not be returning back any time soon.

    Fresh delicious mixed green salad.
    Gandalf W.

The food was so good last time I put in another order which was delivered from door dash. I got the fresh delicious mixed green salad with home made fresh ranch dressing Yum. I also ordered a kids grilled cheese and fries which tasted even better with the no charge toppings of lettuce tomato and dill pickles. Also yummy food. The option to order more sauces in this case the home made ranch dressing was appreciated. Fresh and tasty give this place a try. Two thumbs up Bon appetit

Ask the Community - Boulevard Burger

How big are their burgers? If they are more than 1/3 pounders, can you order a smaller size?

What does this question mean, "if they are more than 1/3 pounders"? Are you anticipating a 3/4 pound burger?

Is your entire order SOGGY everytime you order to go :-/?

No. We tend to eat there, in the patio area, and have never experienced sogginess

Place is spacious, lively, dimly lit with music playing at a level you can have a conversation. Table ordered a steak sandwich with salad, cheese sandwich with tomato soup and a five-spice pork ragu over polenta. We all enjoyed our dishes. Food is 3.5-4/5 stars and would like to see a bit more to keep it interesting but know their kitchen setup is limited. No wine with this visit. Dessert: Orange brownie was simple with orange zest and the Hawaiian bread pudding was different and flavorful. Good to see the place bustling and look forward to future rotating pop up events. Got a chance to talk to the owner, Stacey as I recognized her from the Eats by E event the week prior. My bad, didn't know she was the owner of Cordial Cellar & Lounge but all good as she was super welcoming, friendly and was very accommodating when asked if we could pay for our own dishes separately. At the end of the evening perused the Olive & Finn Boutique and quickly welcomed by Jackie who was explaining items like the handmade jewelry and some hand stitched clothing. Such cute items and will visit another time. Recommend Cordial Cellar & Lounge for a date night, special group outing or relax and listen to some music. Integrated into downtown Hayward just a block from the theater and other eateries and drink spots, Khao Hom has made a strong impression in the local community drawing a good following for weekend brunch as well as weekday lunch. With street parking right in front as well as sharing free public parking in the lot behind the restaurant, once you've slogged through traffic to get to this area, you'll be able to easily park and venture in for your food experience. As you enter, you'll likely need to wait for one of their staff members to seat you in one of their two dining spaces. The rooms are well lit and enhance the ambiance of your meal (and photos) with natural lighting. When seated, you'll get their food and drinks menu in addition to finding their dessert menu at the table. As standard, each table gets a carafe of water for you to serve yourselves. Their menu is quite extensive in representing popular Thai flavors with a bit of flare. You'll find curries, soups, noodles and chef specialties in their own sections of the menu. They also have some alcohol infused drinks for those looking for a full brunch experience. As a novice to some Thai dishes, I did have to ask the staff to explain a bit about certain dishes, but there were a few that caught my eye and never let go. Thai tea - flavorful and bold; rich but not too sweet Matcha latte - rich matcha flavor and creamy; best sipped and can be packed in a to-go cup if you don't finish Tom yum crab omelet - beautifully crafted omurice-esque dish where you'll find white rice encased in an egg omelet topped with succulent pieces of crab meat and smothered in tom yum soup. This dish is not only a pleasure to look at but the taste and textures in each bite will have you salivating for more until the dish completely disappears. This unique take is a must get for first timers! Roti gai tod - crispy fried yet succulent chicken served with a small serving of creamy yellow curry, white rice, and a roti alongside their delicious chili sauce. Fantastic balance of textures and flavors will have your tongue dancing from the spices. Tom kha soup - a bowl of comfort with a whole lot of shredded chicken, red onions, and mushrooms with a few big quarters of fresh tomatoes. It's not as creamy as I would like but the flavor is there with its abundance in lemongrass. The portion is large as one order can easily split into two bowls. Fried ice cream - a meal topper and sweet indulgence for those looking to try something new and rarely found elsewhere. This giant meteorite of a breaded and fried ball of vanilla ice cream is topped with chocolate fudge, powdered sugar, a generous helping of whipped cream and plenty of fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, grapes, and cantaloupe). Definitely shareable and a surprising star of their dessert menu - they could definitely do more to advertise this! The staff were super friendly and quick to take dirty dishes out of the way. They kept the place clean, served the food promptly and treated all of their customers with respect and smiles. Top notch crew from the front of the house to the back. Furthermore, should you need the restrooms, they do have two gender neutral rooms that were decently maintained. Overall, Khao Hom is not your everyday Thai restaurant nor is it your run of the mill brunch spot - this is a unique experience with food created out of passion to merge these together. The result is an aesthetically pleasing yet hunger extinguishing meal that will have you discovering new flavors and craving for more. With its proximity to the city center, it's a great a spot to plan out a lunch or brunch before a nice stroll around or a movie. Thai food has never looked and tasted so good!
