This place is a dang DIAMOND! This was my first time here and it's officially my favorite spot in Palmdale. Recently, I've been spending a lot of time in Palmdale, it reminds me of my hometown of El Centro. It's got that comforting small town vibe. Anyway, this restaurant encapsulates that whole vibe. You walk in and you're greeted by Liz in a way that says, "hey, good to see you again! Sit wherever ya like, I'll take care of ya like I always do!" And they did! Liz my server, turned out to be the owner. Her daughter was helping along with her dad. They all had that warm friendly but not fake attitude. I appreciate that so much. Your coffee cup stays full and Liz fully anticipates your needs and wants like a mom! I didn't know I needed that glass of water but you was right! Why, yes I did need all those condiments before I even got my food. My favorite part about this place (well, it was all my favorite honestly) was except for her dad, it was all women working there! The cook, the busser, everyone! And as far as I could tell, all Latina women! As a Latina woman myself (half anyway, nevertheless still Latina), I truly appreciate when women are looking out for women. As far as the food goes, it's that good old fashioned comfort food. Delicious. Everyone is so obsessed with these hipster ass "deconstructed guacamole bullshit..." bruh, that's just guacamole and it's not even good. I imagine this place had delicious guacamole. Anyway, I digress.. so I really wanted to try the special, a tamale omelette, but I was already set on the chicken fried steak and eggs. It was PERFECT. Been to this place twice now. I got their French toast with eggs and choice of sausage or ham (got the ham). The French toast was crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. My husband got their chicken fried steak and he liked it. Honestly I don't think we would have come back if he didn't like the food. LOL 2nd time we went I had their chorizo and eggs which I also liked. Next time I'll try a different dish for sure or most likely just go with what I'm craving that day. LOL The servers were friendly. I like that it's a mom and pops place. I noticed that they have their regulars too cause the servers knew what they wanted and how they like their coffee/drinks. First time coming to BLVD cafe and it was very good! Hubby had eggs Benedict while I had a vegetarian omelette, hash browns and pancake. The hash browns were the best we've had in a while, truly tastes homemade. The food was fresh and didn't take long. The service was also great, our server was very friendly and greeted everyone who entered the establishment. First off the older lady was completely rude! Someone walked in with a to go cup and as they were being seated she yelled from across the establishment you can't bring outside drinks with an attitude. They got up and left and she said good I'm glad they did! She spoke so loud for everyone to hear. The younger lady who was our waitress asked us 3 times you ordered chili verde right?! We have been fortunate, since they opened, to eat numerous times in this quaint and friendly cafe. The owner and staff are fun and so very kind and caring. The food is out of this world. A staff member even visited one of us in the hospital a few years ago. Great people, great food.. and we pray everyday that they get through these lockdowns. The wait for our food VS the amount of tables to waitresses being served made no sense. We didn't ask for anything out of the ordinary. The waitress was nice but kept forgetting to bring us napkins or drinks. My son got his order last. Their children's menu was dull. It was our first time and we only had 5 in our group. I truly was hoping for better because I would have made it my regular since it was so close to my home. They could do better. I hope one day they do, but changes do need to be made. The chili burger sounded good until my son saw that it was full of red beans. We were hoping for just the meat chili, instead it looked like it should go into a tortilla better than on a burger. It was perfect! The right proportion of eggs, potatoes, bacon and cheese. My husband got the country scramble with a pancake. Just delicious! Big portions and more than enough to share. They are reasonably priced! Only $5.99 for a large burrito. Breakfast for 2 was under $20. Great, reasonably priced food, how can you go wrong? Decided to give this place a try and left disappointed. It was dead inside with only 1 server and 1 cook. All you hear is the cooks Mexican music in the kitchen. So I ordered country fried steak and eggs over medium. Once I received my food I cut through the eggs only to find they were over easy and the white we're still raw. After I asked the server to have my eggs redone she looked at me clueless. So I explained they were not over medium then she asked if I wanted them over hard instead.. NO! Over medium!
