Cover to enter was very overpriced. Bar and the floor were way too overcrowded, not enough bathrooms for the size of the bar, and poor crowd management. The bathroom is located at the front of the bar by the DJ booth (which is also ALWAYS the most crowded). My friend who was pregnant was pushed aggressively by two patrons and received no help from security trying to use the bathroom. read more

We have just arrived With my Girlfriend and Hostess was requested reservations, but there doesn't seem to be anyone around and it's not busy. Perhaps they can accommodate us as walk-in customers. I have been in the restaurant business for 10 years, I'm a Sous Chef at 750 capacity restaurant and we have never turned away walk-in customers, especially when there are only three tables occupied. Bachelorette weekend which had 2 very disappointing spots and this was the worst one. We had 7:30pm reservations and they kept calling and confirming with my girls. Then the day of try to have us come earlier and we had other plans so can't do it. They call AGAIN to see if we can come at 7pm instead and we tell them again that we are coming at 7:30 as scheduled. We were on our way and a few minutes to 7 they call claiming "their kitchen is leaking". coincidently? And he was going to try to have the problem resolved before we get here but he isn't sure. We already knew what they were doing which is absolutely disgusting on how they run their business. We did call back to tell them we are going elsewhere because we can't risk going there and then not be able to be serviced when we can go somewhere else. No apology , nothing. Got a table for 8 people. Made us wait on a long line to get in even with a table. Then we waited 45 minutes to have our server come over to order bottles. They put us at 3 bs tiny square tables pushed together in the center of a mosh pit with no ropes. The host tried to make it up to us by selling us $2,700 retail magnum bottles of crystal for $2,100 dollars bottles. THANKS, BUT NO THANKS! Then he said if you don't get champagne we can't give you sparklers, which are customary at every club. He came to our table and took shots from our bottles. There was no security once you were inside. The only security on the inside was blocking people from getting to the upstairs tables. I felt VERY UNSAFE. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy. NOT FUN! Go to Rushmeyers or Common Ground for a MUCH MUCH MUCH better time!!!!!!! This place sucks..... read more

Ok I really hate giving one star reviews but I do swear to always keep my reviews honest and real so here we go..... Bounce Beach Montauk..... Not a surprise it's 1.5 stars truly. To begin we were on the beach in montauk right by this spot so we stopped in for a late lunch about 6 of us and a baby. Off the rip they were super accommodating for our group and fitting in a stroller on their outside patio area. THANK YOU FOR THAT IT WAS SUPER APPRECIATED!!!! BUT!!!!!........ We sit down and there are literally 50 plus yellow jacks swarming the outside area.... next to my seat were two plastic containers in a bush with syrup or something in them to mitigate the issue smart but def need something more than that to fix the problem..... but whatever I sat right next to it no big deal.... not scared nor do I have allergies..... concern was for the baby. We begin to order drinks..... a lot of the liquors they "did not have" ok we all called audibles and got something otherwise. So the drinks right.... My buddy got a moscal mule.... it tasted like straight dirt, literally dirt because the taste of ginger was so strong. The ipa in a can, whatever it was called, came to the table with some sort of liquid leakage dried onto it (one time no big deal but it was every can we got, just wipe em down before they hit the table!). We ordered calamari it was tasty but mostly breading and not much actual calamari, def no leg pieces!!!! (My fav!). The entrees.....two of us ordered fish tacos (3 tacos, very small piece of fish in each and a tablespoon MAYBEEE of guac in it covered by a shit ton of slaw), my buddy and his wife got the granola nonsense, her first plate she found hair and the very sweet waitress brought her a second dish of it no problem. THE SECOND PLATE WAS ALSO ACCOMPANIED BY HAIR!!!!! We didn't even bother saying anything because at this point we assumed it was just part of the dish hahahahah. My other buddy got the frozen burger patty plopped onto an undersized bun accompanied by stale chips, i think this is called something else on the menu hahaha!!!! Overall the hospitality for us was great but the food was terrible. With that check out the prices on the menu, we left and had to get food again when we got home. i know your in Montauk but if your quality stood up for your pricing i wouldnt mind but this place was a total miss!!!! Best location in the area. Let's start there. Grab an outdoor seat upstairs facing the ocean or grab a bar seat in that same outdoor section of the bar. Enjoy the vibes anytime of the day. The food is ok. The drinks are generic, the staff was pleasant, polite and swift. Everyone had a great smile and was well dressed with the beachy color schemes. You get a little bit of a Malibu mixed with Hermosa Beach vibe here and I can dig it. Will def be back this summer. They have a kids menu here and it's kid friendly in the day time during lunch and brunch. read more

If you order anything other than French fries , you're taking a huge risk . This is strictly a bar and you should only drink here. I don't know how this place passes the health inspection . Writing this review over a year later after having to recover myself mentally and physically from the trauma this establishment left me. First off, it is nothing like the bounce in NYC.... Even though the new renovated one sucks now! The staff and security are the worst type of people in the world and do no care for their customers. They are heartless and only see the dollar sign. Secondly, the food there is god AWFUL. I have had the lobster roll and the fish tacos. Very dry and no flavor. Does not taste like what it would taste like at any other restaurant or bar serving those exact dishes. Lastly, the 3rd and final thing about this terrible institution is the most scariest and traumatizing experience. I've been very petrified in writing this for many moons. But I'm going to say it! This place should shut down because the management doesn't know to how to manage. I came here last Labor Day Weekend, which was my first time and my last time. I still have the receipt for the one drink I bought. I slipped and fell down those stairs because they were not properly cleaned up. I fell because the stairs were WET, not because of the level of my intoxication. The manager actually saw me fall and did not do much help except have me sit down outside where I decided to have a cigarette. I waited until the end of the night to ask the manager if I can put something on record Incase something came up (2 fractured ribs) and she refused to write an incident report and then accused me of trying to hustle them (haha) - then has me escorted out by security. Bunch of clowns running a circus! I should have sued but I didn't. I'm the better person :) This is by far the worst bar to take over Sloppy Tuna. I have worked in the hospitality industry for years and I even worked at the bounce in New York City when it used to be good. I wish I could comment on the food and beverages, but it seems they don't need to sell any to stay open... especially with the two dorks out front letting teenage bikini clad girls in. We went in and wanted a drink so we went inside to a 50% full area/bar. Asked if we could buy some cocktails and we were told ya, at the outside bar. Went outside all the open seats had reserved signs. Couldn't get a bartender to even look our way. Went back inside asked if we could sit at the bar inside.... Nope it's closed. How about upstairs... is it open? Nope, it opens at 2pm. It's 2:15.... Well it's up to the GM and he hasn't opened it. Their compromise was we could buy a drink outside if we could get the bartenders attention and sit at the closed bar... no thanks it shouldn't be work to buy a drink at the beach. read more

BEST FOOD IN MONTAUK! We ordered for the table the Caesar salad, chicken tenders, lobster roll, bang bang shrimp and fish tacos! Everything was so good, surprised with the quality of the fish and the service was the best! All the servers wear matching sets that were so cute and everyone was so friendly. Didn't even want to give this one star, wish i could give this place a negative review. We didn't even make it in the door. Waited in line for 15 minutes to get in, got cut off multiple times by inconsiderate people. Once we got to the entrance the bouncer proceeded To ask my group and i how many of us there were and if we reserved a table. I said no, and then he asked for our girl to guy ratio, treating us like we were entering a frat party. I responded and he said "the best we can do is a $750 bar tab." So we immediately turned around and went elsewhere. The environment is so negative and inappropriate i will never ever spend my money there. PLEASE if you are reading this go to another place like Tauk or The point. Both ten times better and the staff and environment was much more enjoyable. Seriously hope this place goes out of business. This place was just horrible. The bottle service was ridiculously over priced. The patio to go outside closes at 9:30 PM. Drinks are insanely priced (25$ for wine??) . Our waitress also tried putting a 25 percent gratuity on our bill without asking thinking we wouldn't realize. I won't be returning here again. read more

Was so looking forward to this place since Sloppy Tuna was just disgusting to begin with. Made a res for Saturday evening because we planned on going for pre-dinner drinks. 2 stars because the people working there were really nice and friendly (sometimes to the point of too cheerful and nice that it came across as slightly disingenuous). Once we arrived, I thought we would be able to get seated upstairs since that's the whole point and where the view is. To my dismay, they set us outside right by the front entrance, which the view is just basically of cars rolling up and the motels. I asked if the upstairs was open and they said they were still cleaning up from the event earlier in the day. Fine...we didn't want to leave now since we already got the uber here so we decided to just stay for a drink. The drinks were pretty spring fun colors, but that was the only redeeming aspect because there was practically ZERO alcohol in it (and this is coming from someone who rarely drinks). They were way overpriced for what it turned out to be. When we were paying, it was also extremely uncomfortable that the girl was just standing there watching you pay / add gratuity (ended up tipping way more than I would have since the drinks were so terrible and disappointing and it's not like we had food that required the server to come to our table multiple times). Even shortly after we got there and was seated, we saw them letting a bunch of people go upstairs. I thought they were still cleaning it out? Stopped by for a quick drink on a overcast afternoon.Saw the prices on the drink menu were on the high side.Thaey had one chardonnay for $25 a glass so my wife asked if they had a "house" chardonnay and bartender said yes.I ordered a $8 can of Bud Light and when we got the check the "house" chardonnay was $25!My wife said it tasted like a middle of the road wine at best and she has had her share of chardonnay believe me.Would of been nice for the bartender to give us the heads up on that but I think they are trying to be a Manhattan bottle service boujois bar.Hopefully that won't fly in our little home away from home out in Montauk. read more

I went here a couple weeks ago on a Friday afternoon. This bar has a great location and ana amazing view of the water. I order a burger and my wife order the fish tacos. I will say that my burger was not great, they looked and tasted like the were frozen pattie burgers and for the prices they charge you would expect them to at least be fresh and taste much better. The fish tacos were very very small tacos and once again understanding the location I get why they charge what they do but not worth the price. I will say that the truffle french fries were great and was the best part of the meal. I understand why they have to charge the prices they do but paying $18 for a cocktail that was just ok is also not great. They have a nice venue but this is a $$$ place with $$ food to say the least. Cannot say enough good things about this place. The food is consistently an 11/10 and the vibes are top notch. Lobster roll and blacken fish tacos are my go to orders. Best spot to stop in when you're strolling off the beach. Saturday day parties are epic then we always come back for round two when they reopen at night.
