Husband surprised me for my 51st birthday but he ended up being the one surprised once the check arrived. First the positives. Friendly waiter that just graduated from college, solid jazz and slightly above average food. Happy to support a local business. The negatives were several but we'll simply focus on the most egregious. The bill for 2 cocktails, 2 mocktails, 1 appetizer (6 scallops), shared a ribeye/baked potato/asparagus was $360 including the 5% service fee and 20% tip. Only then did we discover in addition to the $99 ribeye (which we consciously chose), the 6 scallops cost $99. That's correct, $99 was market price for 6 appetizer scallops. That's correct, $16.50 per scallop . That is a highly unreasonable and excessive price. It was robbery. We will never, ever, ever return. Don't make the same error as my husband -- he didn't read the constructive reviews in advance. Fool us once -- SHAME ON YOU. read more

I toke a couple days to write this review. I dont like giving bad reviews but there was SOME good to this review. I went for a birthday celebration. Management came out and did an EXCELLENT show. We toke pictures, we laughed and they even gave gifts. Waitress was excellent as well until later. 5 stars for the owner and entertainment. The food, was ok. I spent 526.00. For 526.00 the food should have been excellent. Pasta was not seasoned, greens, i cant even explain, the steak, needed lots of seasoning, salad was great, fries were great, brussels were ok, mash potatoes were good. Now once i toke the food home and seasoned it it was better considering spending 526.00. Here is the reason im writing this review. As i was paying the bill i had wrote a partial tip on the bill. I realized i had cash in the car so i was going to hand our waitress cash once i went to my car. As we are headed to the door, our Waitress came and stppped me. She said "was everything ok". I said the entertainment was great". She then showed me the bill and then pointed to the tip. She explained that out of her tip she had to pay this person and that person and the tip i had left wasnt enough. I told her i was going to go to my car and get cash and would be right back. She explained AGAIN her having to pay others out of her tip. I explained AGAIN i was going to my car. She said this time that the tip is 30 percent and explained again about having to pay others. At this point im annoyed and i didnt say anything. I was headed to my car to get her tip and i saw her take the machine over to the host and show her the amount i had left and then they both looked at me while the host laughed and then walked in the back. With that, i felt it was very rude when i told her i was bringing back her remaining tip in CASH. i wanted to speak to the owner but i didnt want to ruin the celebration. Tips are optional but i would NEVER leave less then 20 percent. Not sure if i would go back because that really rubbed me the wrong way and no i did not tip her the rest after that. read more

I went for lunch today with a friend. We had burgers. The fun part started when I paid for the meal. I used AMEX through ApplePay. It said my card was declined. However, AMEX sent me a text indicating it was paid. They told me to pay again and if a mistake had happened I could come back later, show proof and they would refund me. When I called AMEX, they said the restaurant had sent in two separate charges, the second was the one including the tip. They rejected the second charge as fraudulent. The restaurant called the police when I refused to pay again. The FCPD showed up and told the manager I had paid and allowed me to leave. Beware of this place, they are trying to charge customers twice for the same meal. If AMEX hadn't caught it, I would have paid double. Wasted three hours at lunch. Never going there again. BTW, I left cash for the tip on the table and the manager wouldn't confirm the server received the cash. I think he took it from him. read more

A good spot to relax and listen to some jazz music after work, whether solo or otherwise. There is often a musician here but that is not a guarantee so definitely check ahead of time. The menu is vast and there is a happy hour which goes on daily. If you are into high shelf alcohol, this may be a good choice. Likewise, the food varies from slightly above average to low good; while the ingredients are of superior quality, the execution is neither consistent across the same item nor across the board. I have had steaks here which vary from as low as a C- to as high as a B+. Service is always exceptional and staff is clearly very well trained. My advice to the restaurant would be to modernize both in cuisine as well as outreach. The place is solid and has potential but does not translate well to a younger, contemporary audience. To anyone from or traveling through the area, I would recommend visiting; be sure to get the crispy pork belly. read more

Went here for lunch. We were the first customers since we got there at open. The server was very friendly. He did push us to get the tomahawk but it was way too early for that since we were there for an early lunch. The restaurant ambiance is nice. I thought the wooden chairs had a nice flair. They had tables on top of giant bourbon barrels. I ordered the surf and turf with a side caesar. My colleague ordered the ribeye a side of Mash and Vegetable medley to share. The lobster tail was very good. My filet mignon was a bit bland. The caesar salad was great. The sides were very good and I would recommend those. My colleague said the ribeye was great and he really enjoyed it. Overall the visit was great. I think it is a bit pricey but I would come back. read more

The live music and the pre dinner drinks were the best part of our experience! We had a party of 6 and we ordered appetizers, drinks, entrees and desserts so we paid a pretty penny. The service was sub par at best, the food was expensive, then auctioned off at the table! The steak cuts were presented with the toppings mixed up and when asked for clarification we were told "I'm not sure but if the sauce is wrong you can just switch them." When paying $49 for a steak I would expect the server know what's on the plate. The temperature of two of the steaks was wrong, served rare instead of medium. A Delightful Experience! We decided to visit BB to celebrate a birthday - despite all the inconsistent reviews. We made reservations and called later to adjust the time - with no issue. Atmosphere was business casual to casual with live music playing softly. I remember thinking it is just the right level for discussion! I thought the restaurant was rather busy for a Tuesday night, but the service was prompt, attentive and very accommodating. The food was excellent! Appetizers included lobster bisque, calamari with a very nice sauce, and French onion soup that were nothing less than savory. The entrees included the Wagyu Ribeye, dry aged ribeye, the duck breast and I had the Seared Salmon. Although the recommendation was for medium - I prefer and asked for my salmon to be well-done, fully expecting it to be somewhat dry. To my surprise and delight the skin was crispy and the salmon was juicy succulent, tender and well done! Everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their selections as well. As the manager came around to inquire how everything was, we disclosed that it was our first visit; everything was very nice and were there to celebrate a birthday. When the desert was brought (a delicious Lemon Sorbet) they had placed a birthday candle in the middle and the guitarist strummed out Happy Birthday! Such a pleasant touch! The Birthday girl then received a very nice birthday card signed by the staff and a small gift! This was totally unexpected and was the icing on the cake to a delightful dinning experience! We had a reservation and they seated us promptly if a little uncertain on where to actually put us. A jazz band was playing and the place looked to be half full. We got our food and drink menus right away. Huge selection of whiskey, tequilas etc. Hubs chose a whiskey and I chose a Prosecco. Service was very slow all night. Server was nice and knowledgeable. We suspected they were understaffed so we didn't complain. We ordered bone marrow as an app and it came out hot with toast. It was probably the best part of the meal. We split a tomahawk steak MR and couldn't agree on a starch side to go with the maple sriracha Brussels sprouts so we got mashed potatoes and mushroom risotto. When the steak was put on the table it was already sliced. We both looked at it in complete disbelief. Never have we ever in our many of years of steak eating ever been brought a sliced steak unkess it was a prime rib slab. Once a steak is sliced it cools down and starts to dry out. When we questioned it, the server said that is how they present it. It all went downhill from there. The chef came out to say he heard we had a question about the steak presentation. We said we had never been served a pre sliced steak like that. He explained it had to do with ensuring it was done properly. Really?? The steak was dry and lukewarm. The Brussels sprouts were soggy and drowned in too much maple syrup and sriracha. The mashed potatoes were just south of wall paper paste and the mushroom risotto was over cooked or had just sat around too long and was essentially mush. And it was overpriced as well. We asked for the bill and the server said she couldn't give us one but she could show us the bill on her toast mobile machine. Hubs was incredulous there was no way to get a paper copy of the bill. The server seemed annoyed and left. She came back with a handwritten copy of the bill. As he looked at the bill there was an auto gratuity added for the kitchen. What?? Is this a new COVID thing? I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but in the end there were just too many subpar things to explain them all away as COVID or a mistake. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would... The service is lacking in all aspects. Despite them noticing that we had a toddler with us, they sat us on a table closest to the bar where a group of loud men were drinking. When I requested that they move us to a different table, the lady said all other tables were reserved. Important to note that we had a reservation too. We ended up moving ourselves to the dining area where our new server behaved as if he was doing us a favor by serving us. We had to track him down to get our check. Food was atrocious. It felt as if they served us food that was cooked last week. Drinks were ok but not worth it for the price. Ambiance is tacky at best. All I can say is Wow! My wife and I ordered a three course meal. Neither one of us has had a tomohawk steak before. Not only was it enormous but juicy and delicious. To top it off was their own steak sauce and we added a horseradish sauce. Perfect. We shared two sides: collard greens and mushroom risotto. The portions were plentiful and quite delicious. Our server was attentive, polite and helpful. The band for the evening made dining relaxing and enjoyable. They were not overly loud and sounded good. After dining we had dessert in the bar area to continue listening to the music. It was a fabulous night. I'm looking forward to revisiting the food with the leftovers we brought home. read more

We visited on Valentine's Day and reserved a table for the night. The later reservations showed as all booked so we picked a 4:30 dinner time. We arrived a little early and was able to sit at the bar for some drinks prior to our reservation. The drinks are fantastic!! They use fresh mint, and ginger for the mule and prepare the old fashioned with the smoke right in front of you. It was fun to watch (coming from a person that hasn't seen many prepared before) Once our reservation time came around we moved to a table. We ordered the braised pork belly with grits and the roasted bone marrow as appetizers. I definitely could have done without the bone marrow, that wasn't really my thing. It tasted like a pate when spread on the sourdough. The braised pork belly was AMAZING!!!! If it's available, this one is a must! I could have just ate that and been more than happy! For the main course I had a dry aged steak, medium rare, with the bourbon Demi-glacé. The sauce was delicious and steak was so flavorful! We had a mushroom risotto on the side and that was so creamy and a very large portion. The reason for the 3star is for the overall, if it was rated solely on food it would, without a doubt, be 5star! Our dinner time was 4:30 and we did not leave until 7:30. It took quite some time to get our order and we noticed that even though the later reservation times were listed as sold out, the restaurant wasn't even at half capacity. Drinks belonging to another table were delivered to us and when we notified the waitress, after several minutes had gone by, she picked up the drinks and took them directly to the other table, instead of bringing them fresh drinks. Went there for Thanksgiving dinner. Ordered a drink, it didn't arrive completed after the bartender inquired; ordered a salad - it never arrived. Oysters Rockafeller did arrive. I was unimpressed with the Wagyu -extremely pricey stuff. I have had that before in my own kitchen. An employee came out with this look alike sword and cut this 3.5 oz at $90 dollar piece of meat into smaller pieces - I could have done my own. Dessert was underwhelming also. Did I mention the "service kitchen" charge?" It was a very expensive and sadly disappointing evening. Friday night I prepared my $6.95 cut of steak at home and enjoyed that to the max. This place has become our groups go to monthly meet up destination. The bar offers a great selection of whiskeys and bourbons. They also offer up an unique and innovative cocktail experience. The food is spot on as well. My personal recommendations. The candy bacon, scallops and grilled Cesar salad ( have to ask for this one). All of the steaks are delicious the true unique stand out is the bison ribeye. It was amazing. There is a very unique flair of showmanship with the way some of the cocktails and dishes are presented. Came in for a pre-opening tour this afternoon at what used to be Hitch. The owner was kind enough to take time out of his hectic day to show us around. The restaurant layout didn't change much but all of the tables and chairs were special order hand crafted wood. Each section of the restaurant has a different Bourbon name. The back room will become a cigar bar. This restaurant will have a very generous selection of wine, bourbon and beer. They will also have different memberships that you can join ranging from cigar club, bourbon and monthly tasting menus with pairings. There will be lockers to hold your bottle until you come back to indulge. Most of the food will be sourced locally which is great. It is a steakhouse that will also have live music for entertainment on a stage in front of the bar area. There is a big patio area that will have its own live music outside along with a bottoms up bar. I'm excited for this new restaurant and can't wait to try the food! Just had dinner with my hubby. We had a good experience, unlike some reviews I read. Our server was nice and attentive. The jazz band was great! We had mocktails which were tasty. I had crab sliders for an appetizer which were good, a little smaller than expected but tasty. My husband enjoyed his oyster Rockefeller, saying it was different but good. For our main meal we shared Truffle fries, maple brussel sprouts and a Caesar salad. He had the Australian Wagu steak and I had the 8oz fillet mignon. As tasty as his was he did say it was a bit chewy; my steak was cooked perfectly and was very yummy. The downside was the temperature of all the hot food was more like luke warm. We came for Mother's Day. There were 10 people in our party. We will not be returning. The service, food and flavors were disappearing. Two of us had the Prime steak gyro which was a joke. There were maybe four 1-inch cut pieces of steak in the gyro for both dishes. Another person in our party ordered the Cajun/sriracha eggs benes, however she received the regular benes and when we informed them of their mistake, they asked if we would be ok to keep this because it would take some time to get the right order. What?! Terrible! My mom ordered a BYO omelette. We asked for spinach and mushrooms which the waiter said there will be a small fee for the mushrooms. I asked him to find out what that fee is. When a customer tells the server and then the manager, (which I later was told was a manager-in training) there is a problem with the dish and the manager looks like Bambi and doesn't say a damn word- I had to ask, "have you ever been in this situation?". Here's the deal- my wife and I were out to celebrate a special occasion. I ordered the best steak on their menu- $99 Prime-Dryed Ribeye. It was over-cooked and the meat was tough. The manager's response after the complete deer in the headlights- "I'll see what the chef says". The GM finally comes by and apologizes and is going to prepare another Ribeye. This time it comes out undercooked and as well tough. For a Ribeye, which is supposed to be a tender-juicy cut, someone left this out in the barn too long. Then they added a Kitchen Sur-charge to our $200 dollar tab. That is when enough was enough. Save yourself the time- don't think this is a one-off. With this type of business model Bourbon Boulevard is not out to create a fine dining experience they are out to take your money and FYITA. As for the owner- Kiran Gunnam who never had the professional courtesy to respond to a direct message, well my hopes are that you find by providing completely terrible service that this review saves as many other customers and potential customers from ever making the same mistake me and my wife made. read more

Nice menu choices and a huge variety of offerings. We were initially seated next to the jazz band and asked to move further away. The band was good, it's just that the flute was piercing. Shout out to Tony, for getting us moved and providing stellar service. He pointed out excellent choices and was very attentive. The food was very good .. the sides are sharable .. we ended up with three large bowls of veggies. Had a wagyu steak, filet and filet skewer .. shared a bit of horseradish sauce. After being seated for my 6:30 reservation my wife and I were completely ignored. The table behind us was seated after us and got served promptly, no one approached our table. AAfter sitting for w5 minutes watching the other table get drinks and appetizers, placing their dinner order, I went to the front desk and asked for a manager. No water service, no server, nothing. Was told manager was not in the building, on a Friday night dinner service. I left for another restaurant. Management contacted me 45 minutes later, apologized and offered a gift card.
