Upon entering this establishment with my man to eat dinner, we were non existent. It wasn't busy at the time. We sat at a table for 15 minutes PLUS until we got up to ask for a menu. We were given crusty looks by the bartender. We sat with our menus for a long while waiting to be acknowledge but yet again she walked right through us. Finally when we got up to order she came to ask us what we wanted. Asked her opinion on certain foods and she snapped at us. The food was not that great and the drinks were watered down. We sat forever and eventually had to walk up to the bar to pay our check. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Horrible food and service. read more

Awesome place to check out if you're in Washington. I'm a Cali girl myself, but from the country none the less. I also grew up in Santa Cruz and I've never seen a country bar with skeet​-ball! I was so down! They have darts, line dancing and bull riding. The place wasn't too big for my taste, it can get a tiny bit crowded, but nothing like the clubs in Cali. Place was just kind of weird. We got there at around 8:30pm on a Friday night and ordered drinks and food. We stood at the bar for probably five minutes before we got the bartender to take our order, but she was really nice. The worst part was the old men sitting at the bar staring us down while we were standing there. Uncomfortable and gross. The food was good. My Long Island iced tea that was delicious. We stayed around for dancing to start around 10pm thinking things were going to get fun but the place was just dead. Literally can't make this up: they make you stand up for the national anthem which is probably the weirdest thing that's ever happened to me at a bar. When the music started nobody was dancing and the DJ just kept playing weird country slow jams. We left at 11:30pm because we were bored. read more

The Moment Eric's father RICK GALANTI Took over his Sons bar, Bourbons Jack's no longer had the Vision/dream Eric had, it's been nothing but alot of Heartache,tears and tons of lies and back stabbing.. I've seen many amazing crew member walk in and leave or get pushed out new and old because Eric's dream for Bourbon Jack's was being stomped on and spat on. I wish i coukd rate 0, used to love this bar, what it was, the family made, but it's gone down hill so fast. Butbthat what happens when you don't pay employees. Owner wouldn't even turn on the ac during hottest days because he's that cheap. Some friends and I have gotten food poisoning there. It was my 2nd case of bad food and lasted a while. Last few times I was in the place was a mess didn't know where to sit withba much crud lieing around litterrally 80%of open tables. The "new renovated beer garden" don't be fooled by a couple umbrella stuck in a picnic table or the swings that have been hung early since this location opened. The new waitress that was there that night was rude and took forever. She's have forgot I ordered if i didn't go back to ask after waiting. read more

Food was great. Friday's prime rib is delicious and a good price. We only went there to eat and nothing more. Took my sister in law to try there amazing baked potato. All was good til we tried to order drinks but were told "no blended drinks tonight" with no explanation. Then there was this creepy older redneck looking guy that stared us down the entire time we were there. He walked by severeal times staring at us. Totally uncomfortable. We ate and left. Next time we will order our food to go. Would only recommend their food. read more

Ladies and Gentlemen, the staff of Bourbon Jacks has an announcement to make to you today. Since July first we have been being led on and lied to by the current owner Rick Galanti. We Made our initial agreement on June 30th whereas we were to take control of Bourbon Jacks on July 1st. Obviously we were very excited about this opportunity. On July 1st Rick came in for what we thought was a final time and he cleaned out all the money we had in the bar and the bank and we started from zero at that time. As you know we changed some menu items and added sports and were pushing ahead to make this the best bar in town. Our first scheduled meeting with Rick Galanti to legally broker the deal was two weeks later at the property brokers in Tacoma, Rick supposedly fell ill that day and cancelled. He then cancelled the next 5 meetings due to supposed serious health issues for the next month and a half which carried us into the end of August. We were thinking maybe the death of his son had something to do with this and we were trying to be supportive and not pressing top hard however he continued to break every promise and deal he made to meet us or to transfer funds or cover expenses since he never turned over the banking to us. Well we are not complete fools, so we began to do our own investigating and realized Rick was stealing all of the profits and then some to fund other bars like the Lighthouse in Des-Moines. We were doing all this work to fill the bar with our amazing customers and staff while he took all of the money and gave it away. On Sept 5th he was given and ultimatum and threat of lawsuit to get this all taken care of and it appeared that was what needed to happen as he then got on his attorney and finally had our deal drawn our deal drawn up legally or at least we thought so. Upon receiving this contract, we saw it was nothing that we originally agreed on and in fact more than 150k of liens and other things were hidden from view which we had earlier discovered were there. Rick has also not ever turned over payroll to the new owners or staff and in fact has been cheating the staff out of hours for years we had discovered. None of our employees have been paid their weekly Payroll in over a month thanks to this crook named Rick Galanti. As of last week, on 10/17 Rick was given a deadline of this Friday 11/2 for everything to be as it should and all employees payroll needed to be caught up by today 10/22 which he agreed to. Well instead of being an honorable man he instead decided to show up with no paycheck and push Allie out the doors and try to get our cook to work for him and told them they will be closing the bar for a few days and running it them selves after that. As of last Friday, the liquor board had opened an investigation for Rick bouncing checks to our suppliers and L&I now has 7 open investigations into payroll and tax fraud. It appears the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The entire staff is asking all our loyal customers to participate in a total boycott of this establishment until which time that Terry and Betsy can legally obtain ownership or get all our loyal employees paid for their hard work. The entire staff is onboard with this as they have been cheated by this man for many years. Rick Galanti is the used car salesman of bars and has done this to multiple people over many years and this can be verified by many. We want to thank you all for your massive support over the last few months and please know we are doing everything we can to rectify this at this location or our alternative option is to make sure this location never prospers, and we open in a new location even bigger and better. This place is quite the shit show. We stopped in tonight for the first night of the five week running comic show. I loved the atmosphere and was hopeful this would be awesome. Too bad they only had two people working the entire bar. Our group ordered a second drink after dinner and they never arrived. To make matters even more interesting, they allowed the noisy skee ball game to continue during the comedy show and the sound system was a disaster. If you feel like saving yourself some money by having drink orders totally ignored, this place will be your jam. Dinner was slightly below average. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich (very dry), cowboy beans (awesome), and the max and cheese (shells and velveeta redeemed by some bacon crumbles). Save yourself the irritation and go somewhere that's staffed and where you don't have to wait 45 minutes for a drink. :) read more

We have had burgers and beers here many times before. Tonight we did not have good service or good food. We were disappointed.

I've now been to Bourbon Jack's for lunch on three occasions. The food menu is getting more extensive and everything I've tried has been excellent. Nicely renovated, the servers have been nothing but great to me. I haven't gone in after work yet so I can't tell you how good the beer choices are but I will soon and I'm sure it will be first rate! read more

Pretty decent vibe - faux dive/honky-tonk. But the burgers - dear Lord, the burgers. I'm going to attempt to put into words why they're so outstanding and while I fancy myself a good communicator, I'm going to fail; this is literally one of those situations where the end result is greater than the sum of its parts. Their standard burgers are 1/2lb mix of ground chuck and brisket; you can go even bigger with their 3/4 patty but that's just insane IMO. There are multiple options but I chose the blue cheese burger and people - it was transcendent. The patty itself was dripping with juice; the buns were toasted on the OUTSIDE and the inside for an incredible texture. Standard veggies (a bit too much for my taste but c'mon - pick that crap off and stop whining. I don't like all the stickers that come with a new camera, so I peel them off instead of complaining about the manufacturer). To me, the brilliance was the above qualities combined with perfectly cooked bacon and their house relish. RELISH ON A BURGER?!!! Shut it until you've tried it; the tangy sweetness offset the funk of the blue cheese, the saltiness of the bacon and the umami of the burger itself. The total experience was just mind-blowing and frankly indescribable: I feel confident it putting it in the company of only Loretta's and Quinn's burgers for my favorite burgers in the Greater Seattle area. read more

Ok place. What we had to eat was good. We were there for a pre-season Seahawk game. The only issue we had was parking our Vette right out in front -- came out and someone had hit it. I called the establishment a couple of times and they were sympathetic, seemed to have a lead but it all fell through. Just be careful when parking. It was an expensive night. :-( read more

Well, this place got a 2 star average for a reason. But we gave it a chance anyway. The bar shouldn't ruin the entire review since this place does offer more than drinks. Well, let's start at the bar first. It was a Saturday night. The unfortunate part of this review is the bar experience. As I stood there at the bar with a friend next to me . . that would be two people at the bar trying to get the bartender's attention. I figured, if it's one of those places, at least my friend who is a girl would definitely get someone's attention before me. We stood there and only as we started to count, there were five people who cut in line next to us. . . just by moving in front of the bartenders face closer. . not that they were standing behind us, we were standing at the bar and they just arrived...we were in full attention of the bartender, not talking or anything. . just waiting to order a drink. Experienced people just knew that, that is what it took to get service. Just push your way through close to the register and you're next. Let me paint the picture here. Granted, it's a little smaller than Big Whiskey. And Big Whiskey has a lot of people wanting drinks at the bar. But they know how to clear them out and in order too. That's professional and hence why I think it could be done properly. Just a working example in case any managers need to spy on them and find out how they get it done. In this case, they had one bartender handling a 15 foot bar and another bartender that was struggling to handle less than a 5 foot space. It got so sad that after the 5th person cut in next to us, the guy with the 15 foot bar noticed that we have been standing there for quite a while and asked us if he could get us something. OK, drink in hand, and didn't give up (we were ready to leave). I observed the place and saw that they were pretty well equipped (obviously not at the bar) but in layout and table sizes, for parties. They were hosting three birthdays at one time and still had more space left. Pretty good job for the small space that they had to work with. Darts, skeeball, very small dance floor, and an awkward raised area that looked to be the special event space. They even managed to fit in a mechanical bull to ride. Big ideas in a small space maybe. But they sure tried! Gotta give 'em that. People were having a great time and the clientele seemed different from Big Whiskey, Little Red hen, Steel Creek, and even the Austin. It had it's own atmosphere with top country hits to dance to. Yes, the entire floor was taken up with each song by line dancers. Both fun to watch and to join in on. Pretty impressed with the people, fun, music, setup . . . and VERY disappointed with the bar experience. Again, if you don't need a drink, this place is great. Unfortunately, i'm a big drinker and had to get out of there once I was done with my one drink. Bourbon Jack's just isn't living up to the name without some whiskey in your hands right? read more

If i could give zero stars i would. Never going back again. I had been there when it was in kent and it wasn't terrible, was actually kind of fun. Moved to auburn..... Not so much. Parking situation is good ill give them that but then that's it. Start off with the front door. Big guy cowboy hat.... Fits the theme. Me and my buddy ( me white guy my buddy half white half black) guy at the door to my buddy " you look like you dont know if you belong here" what does that mean? Anyhow decided to go in. 5.00 cover charge.... Really? In auburn? Whatever pay it go in sit down ask for drink specials and told they dont really have any..... Uh ok. So order some expensive drinks full of ice..... Then for some reason they decided to play the national anthem..... Which was odd like it was some sort of event or something. Regardless we left went to gators no cover actual drink specials and descent amount of alcohol and pool tables and darts. Moral is go to kent and hit gators. read more

Oh the good old days....Previous location was fun, cheap drinks (drink specials on the hour) very attentive staff, ample room with a smokers patio, free to leave and come back without penalty. Overall, great environment. The Auburn location is a major disappointment. I visited a few times to give the new location a chance. I will not recommend this establishment to anyone and will not return. Customer service is terrible. I will take my money elsewhere. RIP Bourbon Jacks read more

Tonight thursday 9/28/17 food is great, drinks are good. Even though I'm a texas longhorns fan live and die and they advertise Oklahoma, this still the best place to eat than the main stream bbq joints! They smoke the meats, no bs liquid smoke, some of the employees smoke the food either the night before or they are in the bar early morning before opening! They have a lot of dedicated employees, however tonight I'm writing because the waitress clocked out at 7:15pm on a Thursday and left her team mate hanging, she said it's because it was slow, well for her it was more for a man or insecure boyfriend looking at her man's expression, but when she clocked out, maybe 25 people walked in after 30 mins prior and the bartender was all by himself. This chic had no respect for her teammate, left the bartender by himself for at least 50+ people.... Matt did the best he could do, with no help!@@ I commend the Matt for keeping his composure and dealing with the patrons the best he could, yes there was a few patrons that left cuz there was no service on the floor, however Matt kept his cool and took service st the bar, where his back was against the wall and service was at the bar respectively!!@ Watching Matt behind the bar , clearing tables and doing his job made me tip him extra.... He still maintained his professionalism! Anyways Thursday night's they have dancing coaching which is cool and later the country music... I would give a 5 star but the tea work needs to be a little better, the ladies that come in make a man wanna choke his chicken! They have free poker and love music after 9pm. All is good@! read more

I went on Saturday (1/25/17). I was not impressed. The bar never got crowded and the crowd that kept coming in were old folks in their 60's The dj was not friendly and the choice of songs sucked. Service was not that great for not being packed at all. Drinks were over priced as well. I did not order food but I had some friends who did and had them take it back, it was that bad. Needless to say, I will not be returning. I will take my business back to my favorite Country Bar in Tacoma. This one doesn't even deserve one star. read more
