We went for breakfast this morning and the food was good. That said, the service sucked! The girl was nice enough but she was working alone in there with over 30 people to serve drinks, take food orders, sell pull tabs, and of course her constant smoke breaks outside every 20 minutes or so. We're sitting there with empty drinks, and she announces that she's going for a smoke. I'm not posting this review to drive people away; I'm hoping the owner sees this and fixes this problem. The breakfast was good and could be a regular thing for our group. But not with this bad service if the owner will not pay a second server or come in and help his own business. We came as a group and rode together, so I would have had at least one or 2 more drinks, same with the other people at the table. We saw another table have to pick up their own dirty dishes and put them in a bucket next to the kitchen saloon doors. They got tired of sitting with dirty dishes while the only server was out smoking and talking with friends. The 2 ladies we knew at the pull tab counter were frustrated that they couldn't get their winner tickets exchanged and couldn't buy more tabs. They left and went somewhere else. Had you just had one more employee, you could have made a lot more money. We'll try again but if we enter into a single employee again and 8 to 10 tables full of 30 or so people, we're going to leave and spend our money somewhere else that has better service. I used to love this place. Used to. The new staff asks for your order 3-5 times and still manages to get it wrong. When my fiancé corrected the bartender after he tried to overcharge us (by $20), the guy called him a "d**k" and said he shouldn't worry about it! It was a horrible experience. It's been 2 years since we have been here but we thought we would try it again. They have remodeled and have many more tables and booths. The seats are comfortable. Like 2 years ago, they are short staffed, but our waitress "Jasmine", did not make us feel neglected. She was working her tail off. This is a "honkytonk saloon" setting. Don't bring your kids here. It is for adults. Two guys at the bar were yelling loudly and swearing at each other. My husband looked at me and said, "If this is a gang thing, duck under the table." Anyway, they left and things quieted down. When you order a steak, they bring you a piece of raw meat, on a seering hot stone so you can cook your own. The waitress warned us that the stone was 800 degrees, so you don't want to be waving bare arms and hands around. I rather liked this because my husband does the barbequeing and I did not have to listen to him lecturing me on eating "rareish" meat. it came with a loaded baked potato. The prices have come up a little but it is still pretty reasonable. Beers on tap are good. We came on a Saturday night, and the place was pretty busy. The ranges of ages were over 21 to seniors, like us. We will come to this place again, and congatulate them for getting their act together, after two years ago. read more

GO HERE!!! INDOOR: Surpassed our expectations! I'm not sure what it was like before but I would have to say ... we will be coming back!! Bourbon Jacks is actually much larger than what I was anticipating, it's clean, it's organized, has a great cowboy feel inside, the staff is super friendly and outgoing!! Tons of parking in the front and the back of the bar. * OUTDOOR: The outdoor seating area is also very large, covered and uncovered outdoor seating, they have many outdoor heaters to use when it gets chilly, some very nice large swinging benched outside as well. I'm pretty sure they had some outdoor corn hole games as well. It was a good time now during the pandemic, I can imagine how fun this place will be once life goes back to normal. * PRICES: I don't think you can get a decent steak meal for $10.99 many places but Bourbon Jacks had one for the daily special when we went. The Pork Belly Nachos are to die for!! I don't know how many shots I ordered for a group of 9 of us the other night along with the appetizers I purchases but my bill was only about $200... how the heck did I manage that? I was honestly expecting it to be more so the prices are very fare here!! Don't forget to tip the ladies, they are seriously so kind! * BUMMER: There was no mechanical bull. I hope they bring it back after the pandemic. The ladies restroom doors don't lock, on multiple occasions ladies got walked in on while trying to tinkle. First time there and I'm not sure I've I'll come back. Had a few friends that moved into Auburn recently and they needed a new hang out, as they're too far from their "old watering hole". We looked around a few places and decided to give Bourbon Jacks a try. They wanted a 5 dollar per person coverage, which I found to be a little annoying. It's a bar, not a club. I know of no other place that does that in auburn or the surrounding area. I will saw though, that the security guard was super nice and when he saw us hesitate and debate if we should go someplace else, let us in for free. So that's super awesome of him to do that! The reason why I gave this place a 3 star review is they butchered our food. I mean really got it wrong. We have a person in our group who has to be somewhat picky on what she eats, so I got the chicken quesadilla and I believe they have the nachos. Needless to say, we ended up with wings and some form of nachos. We just ended up eating them as the line back to the bar was 20+ people deep at that time. The food honestly wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Pretty bland. Would I return, I'm not sure. It's got an interesting vibe, talk about being country! Lol. This place is a hidden gem! I'm surprised that this place was pretty empty on a Sunday night during a football game... Well maybe because the Seahawks weren't playing this night. The bartender was very attentive to every one at the bar and at the table where my party sat. There's plenty of space to walk around and threw if there was a crowd and there's a bull in the back! This review is for their Friday/Saturday nights only: I hate giving this place a negative review, because I use to love this honkytonk! I have been going to Jack's for a few years now, and I am quite confused on where the country DJ and dancing went. I went back to Jack's for the first time in a while about a month and a half ago. I was very sad to find out it is now a karaoke bar?! I asked the bartender if they if they were going to dancing after a certain time, she let me know that dancing is on Saturdays and they might switch back to dancing on Fridays. A few weeks later I went back on a Friday, hoping they had gone back to dancing... nope. I asked the guy bartender I had never seen before, and he was quite the sass ball! I asked him if they were going to do dancing and he responds with, "oh people dance." As if anyone wants to dance to a middle aged man singing eye of the tiger, nooooo thank you! He then proceeded to tell me "we don't do fancy cocktails here"... because I guess I look like a soccer mom from Bellevue in desperate need of a martini. Last weekend I went in for one last time, this time on a Saturday.. STILL KARAOKE!  My heart hurts. read more

Ladies and Gentlemen, the staff of Bourbon Jacks has an announcement to make to you today. Since July first we have been being led on and lied to by the current owner Rick Galanti. We Made our initial agreement on June 30th whereas we were to take control of Bourbon Jacks on July 1st. Obviously we were very excited about this opportunity. On July 1st Rick came in for what we thought was a final time and he cleaned out all the money we had in the bar and the bank and we started from zero at that time. As you know we changed some menu items and added sports and were pushing ahead to make this the best bar in town. Our first scheduled meeting with Rick Galanti to legally broker the deal was two weeks later at the property brokers in Tacoma, Rick supposedly fell ill that day and cancelled. He then cancelled the next 5 meetings due to supposed serious health issues for the next month and a half which carried us into the end of August. We were thinking maybe the death of his son had something to do with this and we were trying to be supportive and not pressing top hard however he continued to break every promise and deal he made to meet us or to transfer funds or cover expenses since he never turned over the banking to us. Well we are not complete fools, so we began to do our own investigating and realized Rick was stealing all of the profits and then some to fund other bars like the Lighthouse in Des-Moines. We were doing all this work to fill the bar with our amazing customers and staff while he took all of the money and gave it away. On Sept 5th he was given and ultimatum and threat of lawsuit to get this all taken care of and it appeared that was what needed to happen as he then got on his attorney and finally had our deal drawn our deal drawn up legally or at least we thought so. Upon receiving this contract, we saw it was nothing that we originally agreed on and in fact more than 150k of liens and other things were hidden from view which we had earlier discovered were there. Rick has also not ever turned over payroll to the new owners or staff and in fact has been cheating the staff out of hours for years we had discovered. None of our employees have been paid their weekly Payroll in over a month thanks to this crook named Rick Galanti. As of last week, on 10/17 Rick was given a deadline of this Friday 11/2 for everything to be as it should and all employees payroll needed to be caught up by today 10/22 which he agreed to. Well instead of being an honorable man he instead decided to show up with no paycheck and push Allie out the doors and try to get our cook to work for him and told them they will be closing the bar for a few days and running it them selves after that. As of last Friday, the liquor board had opened an investigation for Rick bouncing checks to our suppliers and L&I now has 7 open investigations into payroll and tax fraud. It appears the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The entire staff is asking all our loyal customers to participate in a total boycott of this establishment until which time that Terry and Betsy can legally obtain ownership or get all our loyal employees paid for their hard work. The entire staff is onboard with this as they have been cheated by this man for many years. Rick Galanti is the used car salesman of bars and has done this to multiple people over many years and this can be verified by many. We want to thank you all for your massive support over the last few months and please know we are doing everything we can to rectify this at this location or our alternative option is to make sure this location never prospers, and we open in a new location even bigger and better. I love coming here. The service is great, bartenders make great drinks and are really cool. The food is excellent. I love the black and blue burger and Chinese chicken salad. Dancing here is a lot of fun, and the bull is free to ride. Huge outdoor patio to smoke and you can take your drink out there too. The dance lessons are a blast. Weekend nights are fun and busy, but my favorite time to come is weekend afternoons when things are a little more low key. read more

Staff and security are very polite and energetic, drinks are reasonably priced, wish I tried the food because it smelled really good, good size dance floor and they had a bull to ride! 5 out of 5! Also, it's very diverse there, me being a black male I didn't feel out of place at all. Overall, great vibes, great people and great venue. Upon entering this establishment with my man to eat dinner, we were non existent. It wasn't busy at the time. We sat at a table for 15 minutes PLUS until we got up to ask for a menu. We were given crusty looks by the bartender. We sat with our menus for a long while waiting to be acknowledge but yet again she walked right through us. Finally when we got up to order she came to ask us what we wanted. Asked her opinion on certain foods and she snapped at us. The food was not that great and the drinks were watered down. We sat forever and eventually had to walk up to the bar to pay our check. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Horrible food and service. read more

Awesome place to check out if you're in Washington. I'm a Cali girl myself, but from the country none the less. I also grew up in Santa Cruz and I've never seen a country bar with skeet​-ball! I was so down! They have darts, line dancing and bull riding. The place wasn't too big for my taste, it can get a tiny bit crowded, but nothing like the clubs in Cali. Place was just kind of weird. We got there at around 8:30pm on a Friday night and ordered drinks and food. We stood at the bar for probably five minutes before we got the bartender to take our order, but she was really nice. The worst part was the old men sitting at the bar staring us down while we were standing there. Uncomfortable and gross. The food was good. My Long Island iced tea that was delicious. We stayed around for dancing to start around 10pm thinking things were going to get fun but the place was just dead. Literally can't make this up: they make you stand up for the national anthem which is probably the weirdest thing that's ever happened to me at a bar. I've seen many amazing crew member walk in and leave or get pushed out new and old because Eric's dream for Bourbon Jack's was being stomped on and spat on.
