I cannot speak on what type of time those psychopaths I passed downstairs, (wasting away, ignoring all the action that was happening above) were having. Food comes in huge portions! If you are a small eater you can easily share a meal with a friend. Food is fresh and price is good. Beef steak sandwich taste was not up to the mark. Salmon was bland..Mac and cheese was so good. Beef steak gravy had a bit too much salt but the meat it self was tender and tasty. Baked potato was yummm! Customer service is ok. Nice place, but if you use Pulsd, they really don't honor their agreement and try to charge you more than just upcharges for items that are not covered, tax and tip. We had two prepaid Pulsd codes for a table of 4 for a bottomless brunch, and the waitress told us that they can only honor one per table, even though the fine print clearly states "multiple vouchers may be combined for larger groups." Her boss told her to accept both and apply them, thankfully, but when the bill came, it was A LOT more than we expected, not including tip (AND WE ALREADY PAID FOR THE BRUNCH VOUCHERS). We were not in the mood to argue about the principle in front of our guests, so we paid them extra for drinks though the bottomless brunch drinks were supposed to be covered. This bar/resturant is pretty hip and has a variety of meals to choose from. I would reccomend if you are in a mood for a drink and looking for good music. However my party of 9 had a slow delay during our experience. Instead of cajun fries, I got the sweet potato fries which were cold. I told the waitress she got the order mesed up and got me a new plate instead. My friend got a blackened burger instead of what she originally ordered; a classic median rare. I've been ordering from Bourbon often since I moved in the neighborhood and it's been quite often where they forget things such as avocado, cheese things that cost extra pretty much but I let it slide twice.. now tonight was completely unacceptable. 2 burgers that were ordered were not even edible because they were barely cooked and missing cheese which I paid extra for. Both my friend I were screwed out of food because we requested well done and we couldn't eat it. Not to mention the some of the sweet potato fries were hard as if they still weren't thawed out. I was a big fan of bourbon street. It looked fun, so I went to check it out during happy hour one day. The waitress on staff was very sweet and helpful. I ordered some oysters and sangria because they were on the happy hour menu. I was satisfied with both. I love that that the happy hour is located on the rooftop. This place is amazing. It's not only a date night restaurant but it also is a family friendly restaurant. It is a restaurant downstairs and a rooftop upstairs. The service is amazing. Food comes out pretty quick. I always enjoy my food when visiting here. And they have an amazing Groupon deal! Their steak is SOO Worth it because it's HUGE and tasty. My husband and I came to Bourbon street maybe 3 times now. All 3 times we have gone to the rooftop. This last time we were asked to leave because apparently I wasn't allowed to ask the dj for music request. When the rude bouncer told us to leave he got aggressive with my husband. Then had like 5 guys to get us out. Are you serious. I don't know who they think they are. I'm a woman with my husband looking to have a good time and they made a big scene over something so small. All for asking the dj for different music. Maybe he got offended. I was looking to have a birthday party there on the rooftop. But definitely not now. Will not be coming back and there were a lot of minors there. So instead of the bouncer/security kicking us out and being aggressive they should better check IDs for underage drinking. Seated immediately while I waited for my sis to arrive. The restaurant manager is on point. 5*. She checked in on me while waiting and made food recommendations and at least 2 more times while dining. Our server was nice. She had gaps of checking in on us though. She could have been a little more attentive. We saw the bus staff more than the Waitress. They were overly attentive. The drinks were not great. Needed more alcohol. My husband and I came here tonight for his birthday dinner, the place was packed but we were given a table right away despite our reservation made here on yelp didn't went through, we were told that yelp reservations are no longer supported by the restaurant and has been stopped for a while, they had no idea why it is still on. Anyway, when we were seated, they gave us a basket of corn bread and really soft and tasty scones. For appetizers we ordered jumbo mozzarella sticks and blackened chicken quesadillas, when I say jumbo mozzarella sticks I meant JUMBO mozzarella sticks, husband really liked it a lot, so crispy and huge, the quesadillas are really good too, a hint of spice in it and generous amount of chicken, after that we were served with plates of salad. For entree, I got the infamous skirt steak which was really flavorful, I'm guessing it was marinated in wine and spices. My husband got the cedar plank salmon, he said it was really juicy and savory though he preferred if cooked a little more. Mind you, the portions are big, we could finish all the entree, we were already half full with the appetizers alone. Before we leave we were given a complimentary bourbon shots, which I really like and had to ask for another one.. hehe.. Overall, money well spent. Wish they had swamp water like the one in Manhattan use to have. The hostess was friendly as was the server. Bourbon Street is always a fun time. On my most recent visit, I hung out with my friend on the rooftop, which I barely had the energy to get to - omg, those stairs! But once you make it up, you're welcomed by a massive space filled with a DJ, a bar, tons of tables, and a great energy. You can also hang out downstairs in the air-conditioned bar. We were seated right by the DJ, so we had to yell to converse, but we made do. My friend even won a ticket for a free drink from the DJ, who was having a blast himself and dancing and singing and engaging the crowd. Our waiter was very fun and friendly and joking around with us. We ordered the guac, the sliders, and the spinach and artichoke dip. The guac was very sour, so I'm not sure it was fresh. The sliders were tiny and came in three. They were good! The dip was our favorite. We scraped every last bit off the dish. Bourbon Street is a great place for when you want to let loose and hang with friends. You can't walk down Bell and avoid the fun vibes emanating from this bar. It's worth a visit! read more

I've been to Bourbon Street way back in the days over a decade ago. I've come back a couple times in the last few months. I'm surprised I haven't written a review yet. Well, I really like this place. The food is good, service is pretty good, cocktails could be quite strong. My absolute favorite thing from here that I dream about from time to time, is their fried calamari. A giant plate of perfectly fried, tender, well seasoned fried calamari with a really good marinara dipping sauce. Mouth is watering as I type. The pastas are great as well. Jambalaya and something bayou pasta were tasty. I've tried their brunch special over the summer, and it really was a great deal. $20 for a brunch cocktail, coffee, fruit, dessert, entree, and there's a bread/muffin basket too. It was a lot of food! They also have a rooftop situation. But it has a different menu than the restaurant, so it may or may not be what you want. Great establishment for the area. read more

What I enjoy most about Bourbon St is their nice rooftop bar. Sure, it's up a bunch of stairs (I also read there is an elevator) so after you've climbed up you are rewarded with a pretty nice space to hang out. The host/hostess (is there a gender neutral term for this?) will ask if you want to sit at a table, if not you can grab a spot at their sizable bar. They have a happy hour from 3-6pm, which would be even better if it went until 7 (or later, but I believe the downstairs bar is until 7), but whatever. They have buck a shuck clams/oysters, Guac and chips, along with discounted Red or White Sangrias, Montauk Cans, Peroni Drafts. I lucked out and caught a Ketel One promotion for their new botanical line of flavored vodkas so I scored a free drink. My half dozen oysters were cleanly shucked and decent, but a bit too cold. An oyster was actually half-frozen. They were served with lemon, mignonette and cocktail sauce along with a bottle of tabasco. The bartender Dylan provided great friendly service. The rooftop is also tented and heated for the less than ideal days. An excellent spot on Bell! Controversial Tip They actually have a smoking section, the lounge tables on the perimeter of the rooftop which is great for all you personal freedom types, and sucks for anyone that can't stand smoke - take this tip as you will. read more

Apparently this place is a favourite, I decided to give it a try and ordered their French quarter seafood boil. Consider me a convert, I was super impressed with the flavour, they don't skimp on the seafood either. The mussels were a little underwhelming and I would have liked to see some squid in there but the clams were plump and plump, the shrimps were de-veined and the mussels were cleaned and had their beards removed. The corn and potato had soaked up that delicious broth, so with each bite it was like mini explosions of flavour! The andouille sausage wasn't great but I'm assuming it was their to bleed it's flavours into the broth for which it had fulfilled its purpose. Will come back here to try the gumbo for sure! Atmosphere is very chill and enjoyable and service was average. Dishes ordered: Fried chicken sliders Mac attack Skirt steak Fried chicken sliders: 4/5 We started off with some sliders as an appetizer while we waited for the food. Chicken was fried to perfection the meat was juicy and the breading was crunch but not over powering. Came with a side of Cole slaw and ketchup, I would recommend adding cheese when ordering this appetizer because I think I would've enjoyed it that much more with some cheese of any kind. Cole slaw was good and the potato bread went perfect with the chicken. Mac attack: 3.5/5 This burger is definitely loaded with a burger patty, brisket, and Mac and cheese. I asked for the burger medium well and it came out more well done which was a bit disappointing. But the bbq sauce on the brisket and the creamy Mac definitely saved that burger and made it enjoyable for me. Got the Parmesan truffle fries as a side for the burger, was an enjoyable side but there wasn't much Parmesan on the small portion of fries given with the burger. Not sure if I would order again, the restaurant wasn't that busy when I went for the burger to be over cooked but it was an enjoyable dish. Skirt steak: 2.5/5 The menu didn't give much of a description and I figured you can't go wrong with a nice piece of steak. The steak came with steamed vegetables which were bland and were not touched. The steak came with mash potatoes which was silky and creamy but was a bit flavorless. The steak was unevenly cooked to a point where some parts were medium and some parts were well done. Very chewy felt like a cheap piece of steak. In addition there was a sweet seasoning to the steak that didn't really fit my idea of steak. Kind of a glaze all around the steak and sadly make me leave most of the steak to take home. The food runners and bar backs were more attentive than our waitress, but she did have a smile and was nice when asked for modifications on the dishes. Environment is amazing and would be fun to come with a group of friends for drinks and appetizers. As dinner goes I wasn't too pleased. Brunch Brunch Brunch Yesterday my girlfriend, her friend and I had brunch here. We got there at 12:00 when the place opened and they sat us down right away. They put the "bread" basket on the table and it was filled with mini muffins and sections of bagels. The muffins were just out of the oven and were fantastic. The bagels were good just as anywhere on the island. The brunch deal includes brunch style drinks for $20 and the time limit was 1.5 hours. I had the bull burger which was cooked well and the waffle fries were great and my girlfriend had the S'Mores French toast her only complaint was that she couldn't taste the Nutella but other than that it was perfect. terrible service we received. on march 15th, long wait time for food, the waitress never checked and ask if we were ok or needed anything.. when I ask about my order she proceeded to tell me that the mussels I ordered takes a long time to cook. I ask if there was another bread because I notice our basket was mixed with corn bread she said that's pretty much it. made no effort to change the cold bread serve or to remove the corn bread. she checked on everyone she serve except us and when we ask for the bill because we decided we won't have dessert she ask was everything ok. too late cause we gave the basic tip she could have easily earned $250 tip. next day we went to a seafood restaurant across the street and it was fantastic server got$300 for being so attentive. the mussel meal needs some work very watery with no flavor. the seafood soup was puréed with no substance no lobster or flavour.
