We were staying at a hotel in Bayside for Thanksgiving weekend and some family members made a reservation at this restaurant for dinner on Friday night. The restauarnt is on Bell Boulevard with many other restaurants nearby. We arrived at 6 o'clock and were quickly seated at a big round table. The menu has plenty of appetizers, soups, salads, pasta and chicken and seafood dishes. Our party ordered a Ceasar salad, regular salad and baked clams. The Ceasar and regular salads were very good. The clams were tasty but small. For entrees we had the shrimp francese, Pollo Tuscany, shrimp scampi, penne alla vodka, and chicken parmasen. The chicken breast pieces on the Pollo Tuscany were the best I ever had because they were so soft and tasty. Everyone else also enjoyed their dishes. We were too full for dessert but maybe next time. There were a few gluten free options as well.

I came here as part of holiday gathering on a really cold evening, so we almost had the whole place to ourselves. I really like the holiday decorations upon entering - many poinsettias and holiday lights lining up the walls welcome you in the warmth. There was a person in our group who eats gluten free food and I thought it was thoughtful that the staff places stickers to mark off gluten free dishes. We had the gluten free calamari and baked clams. I am used to larger clams but it was tasty seasoned with breadcrumbs. For my entree, I had the Gamberetti e scaloppe provencal (shrimps and scallops with tomatoes, onions, and eggplant in a pink cream sauce over angel hair pasta). If you like tomato based sauce, pasta, and seafood, you would like this dish. It tasted tart and appetizing. The tiramisu was soft and delicious and cappuccino was a nice addition (it comes with a rock sugar stick so you can mix in your preferred sugar level).

My family and I have been ordering takeout from this place for the last 2 years. We do plan to have a sit down dining experience in the near future for sure. Papazzzio serves up delicious Italian fare like nobody's business. We have catered trays of chicken parmesan, chicken francaise and marsala, linguini and white clam sauce, pastas, stuffed mushrooms with vegetables and sausage. We have never gotten a bad meal here and I've eaten my fair share of great Italian food growing up in the Italian area of Corona Queens. This place is as authentic as it comes. Online ordering and dealing with the folks on the phone are easy and curbside pickup is a breeze. Check out the expansive menu offerings as well as the Gluten free options. Authentic Italian cuisine in the heart of Bayside on Bell Blvd. Buon appetito!!!

Dessert: ice cream covered with chocolate.

WOW!!!! 3 of us ordered the chicken Papazzio and it was AMAZING!!!! We all loved it! The other family members ordered different meals and it was just as delicious!

We've been wanting to try Papazzio for a while since the reviews were so good but unfortunately, the food was disappointing. We ordered the tomato & mozzarella and it was dry, tasteless that I had to ask for balsamic vingrette. Then we had the shrimps with prosciutto and it was a bit bland. We also had their Antipasto and the only thing was okay, was their fried calamari. For our entrees, we had the linguine vongole with white wine sauce, it was a bit bland as well but they did give a lot of clams. My husband had the lamb chops, it was okay but he even said he had better. Our friend had the cheese ravioli with bolognese sauce and she said it was not a big deal.

My boyfriend and I came to this restaurant for restaurant week. The ambiance was very romantic, dim light with Valentine's Day decor. We first started out with some drinks, red sangria and mango margarita which was very good with a decent amount of alcohol. The bread brought was cold but the dipping sauce was unique. Server said it was made of chickpeas and olive oil. Our serve was AMAZING, very charming and attentive. The shrimp and scallop dish was delicious, just wish it had a little more seasoning but with pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese it was perfect. My boyfriend had the chicken palliard and he was very satisfied with his dish. He only wished the seasonal vegetables were seasoned.

Pasta barely any sauce and didn't taste that great

Overpriced , overwaited, and overhyped. Ordered pick up in advance for two simple pasta dishes, the person on the phone said 15-20 mins. I go in after 15 mins after calling then have to wait inside for another 35 mins. When I got the food for pick up not dine in .....the bill was 50 bucks for two spaghettis. Lol. The outside and inside of the restaurant looked higher end so I thought food must be very worth it and elegant, so I decided to let the long wait time go, and crazy price. I get home and I find myself opening a carton similar to the Chinese food 7 dollar lunch special container. Pasta taste like I made it at home , nothing stood out. Won't be coming back / avoid if you are thinking about coming.

Penne Vodka Dinner

Ordered penne vodka for take out, what a disappointment. $23 for a plain pasta and they gave a half portion. I bring home more leftovers from other Italian restaurants than what they give you here. Sauce was bland, just tons of tomato chunks. Pasta was way overcooked. This is the pasta after I put it in a very small cereal bowl I have. It's pasta, why so stingy?!!

Delicious chicken dish.

I decide after Assumption Day Mass to have late dinner at this great Italian place! The problem with this area is finding a parking spot. Which takes a couple of passes. But it's worth it folks I had started a Yelp review a while ago but never finished it. Mea culpa I've ordered the baked clams as a starter and they are deliciously garlicky. Dom the owner, whom I've met before comes right over to say hello We chat about business, and he says I've been doing this for 32 years. He's 63 a baby. I tell him to stick with it. He buys me another Prosecco! A prince!! For the main course I order the chicken special. Chicken breast sautéed in white wine with mushrooms, prosciutto snd mozzarella. It comes and is tender and marvelous. Absolutely delicious. The wine sauce makes it truly special. With rice it's perfect It's quiet tonight, but it is late and the place is supposed to be closed, but hey not a problem. I see that there are a few younger middle aged couples here and a few patrons at the bar. My waitress is soooo attentive. It makes for a great experience Not sure about espresso at 9:34. Maybe. Ok yes! Great spot and highly recommended'n

I was diagnosed with gluten intolerance earlier this year and have had a hard time finding places to eat. A lot of restaurants claim to be "gluten-free friendly " but usually have disclaimers that the prep areas aren't sanitized in between, gloves aren't changed, nor do they have seperate fryers. Needless to say I have gotten sick more than once and have become very cautious about going out. I made reservations for me and my husband to have a little date night after reading a lot of positive reviews from those with celiac. The entire restaurant is very cozy and intimate. We were kindly greeted and shown to our special table. Each table had plexiglass in between and were spaced out. When we were shown the menu I couldn't believe that 95% of the items on there were gluten-free or had the option to make it gluten-free. Usually I can only get a simple salad or 2 items so this itself was a huge win. We started off with the calamari and mozzarella en carrozza. As soon as I asked our waiter if they could be made gluten-free he right away jot it down and spoke with me about my options. He even showed me the gluten-free certification they hung up in the restaurant to make me feel at ease about ordering. After taking our orders he brought me some gf breadsticks to snack on. He was so kind and attentive. The starters were so good and even my husband (who can eat gluten) could not tell the difference with this and the regular version. I also noticed on both plates there were colored dots which I assumed indicated that they were prepped differently so there would be no cross contamination. For our main entree I ordered the Chicken Francaise and my husband ordered the Pollo Scarpariello. Both were cooked to perfection and were absolutely delicious. After our meal the owner came to speak with us to make sure everything went well. He spoke to us about his daughter who was diagnosed with celiac a few years ago. He took time to create this extensive menu, seperate prep stations, fryers, and a color codes system to accommodate those with gluten sensitivities and give them a place where they can enjoy themselves (without the fear of getting sick). Overall we had a wonderful date night! I highly recommend this place especially to those who have gluten allergies. I know I will be coming back.

Special of the night with shrimp scallops and muscles.

Wanted to rave about the service we had here. AMAZING. Just the most amazing wonderful service I have ever received. Darius K was our server and he made our first experience at this restaurant so amazing. His food recommendations were on point. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was so beautiful. It was the perfect night out. We will definitely be back. We tried the specials and was not disappointed. Potions were very generous I was able to have a second meal. Everything was very fresh.

It was good. I would go there again in a pinch. Small venue but everyone seemed happy with their food, not too memorable.

A friend had told us about Plancha and never got around it until recently. It's a small place but a solid menu and lots of wine. They were also able to accommodate us with our stroller. Food we got the pan con jamon, garlic shrimp, patatas bravas, shisito peppers and the plancha burger. The sangria was very good. Juicy, not overloaded with BS fruit and just very flavorful. The bread is like a toasted baguette cut into 4 triangles topped with piquillo salsa, arugula and jamon. Pretty good, I was surpised there wasn't pan con tomato but it was still enjoyable. This is a bit more on the acidic side so if you don't like things too tangy - might not be for you. Patatas bravas, classic with aioli and bravas sauce. Shisito peppers blistered, a bit of finishing salt and lemon. Garlic shrimp was cooked well, personally I'd like a bit more garlic in mine and some bread to mop would be nice but still tasty. Plancha burger was definitely our favorite. It's a blend of wagyu sirloin and chorizo, so it's very juicy with a nice smokiness. Very pleasantly surprised and definitely will be back to try some other things.

Novita in Garden City, NY, is a five star Italian stunner that teleports you straight to a sun…read moredrenched Amalfi terrace where the wine sparkles like the Mediterranean, the pasta twirls like a love song, and every second feels like a celebration handcrafted by the warmest famiglia on Long Island. Tucked into a chic Garden City corner with floor to ceiling windows that flood the room with golden hour glow, this gem radiates modern romance, white marble tables gleaming under crystal chandeliers, olive branches bursting from sleek vases, and a living green wall that climbs the back bar like an edible vineyard. The ambience is pure upscale elegance with a heartbeat, soft jazz piano drifting over the clink of Negroni glasses, exposed wine cellars glowing with Super Tuscans, and velvet banquettes the color of eggplant parm that hug you like Nonna at Sunday supper. Candles flicker in mercury glass, the open kitchen fires pizzas in a blazing copper dome that sends waves of basil and San Marzano perfume, and the marble topped raw bar glistens with crudo towers that look too pretty to eat, until you do. It is lively yet intimate, perfect for power lunches or proposal dinners, the kind of place where solo diners feel like VIPs and groups feel like they own the room. The cuisine is a symphony of seasonal Italian genius that had my fork dancing the tarantella from the first bite to the final limoncello drop. We launched with the burrata special, a creamy orb split tableside over heirloom tomatoes so juicy they burst like summer fireworks, draped in 25 year balsamic and peppery arugula that sang harmony. The octopus carpaccio arrived shaved paper thin, citrus kissed and tender as a first kiss, dotted with Calabrian chile oil that added just enough heat to wake the palate. For pasta, the cacio e pepe was wheeled out on a cheese cart, tossed in a hollowed Pecorino wheel until the strands glistened like silk, pepper popping like tiny firecrackers. My branzino was filleted tableside, skin crisped to bronze perfection, lounging over lemony caponata and roasted fingering potatoes that soaked up every drop of Ligurian olive oil. The veal Milanese towered like a golden cathedral, pounded thin and fried to shattering crunch, perched atop a rocket salad that cut the richness like a sports car on a coastal road. Pizza from the dome? The tartufata arrived blistered and leopard spotted, blanketed in fontina, wild mushrooms, and shaved black truffle that perfumed the air like a Tuscan forest after rain. Desserts sealed the romance, the tiramisu deconstructed in a martini glass with espresso soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone clouds, and cocoa dust that melted into pure joy, while the bomboloni trio arrived hot and sugared, oozing Nutella, pistachio, and passionfruit like edible lava lamps. Portions are generous yet refined, prices feel like a Roman holiday steal ($28 to $52 entrees), and the wine list is a 300 bottle love letter to Italy with a Barolo vertical that paired like destiny. Service was the Michelin worthy encore, a masterclass in hospitality that turned strangers into insiders before the bread basket hit the table. Our server Luca greeted us with a megawatt smile and a complimentary prosecco toast "because beautiful nights deserve beautiful beginnings," then guided us through the menu like a Roman tour guide, suggesting the perfect Vermentino to slice through the octopus acidity. He timed courses with Ferrari precision, bread refilled warm and rosemary flecked before we noticed it empty, and when I mentioned a dairy sensitivity he orchestrated cashew based tiramisu without missing a beat. The sommelier swooped in with a Super Tuscan flight decanted tableside with theatrical flair, while the chef patron emerged to present the truffle pizza shaved live like black diamond snow. Water glasses stayed topped like the Trevi Fountain, plates cleared ninja style, and the manager glided by in a tailored suit to gift us housemade limoncello shots "for the stroll home, or the Uber, we celebrate both." Every staff member radiated genuine warmth, remembering our names, celebrating an engagement with a sparkler topped affogato, and turning dinner into a memory we will replay like a favorite Fellini film. Novita is a five star sanctuary where Italian soul, sensational flavors, and service that spoils you silly collide in a burst of pure delight. Whether you are toasting a milestone, wooing a foodie, or simply treating yourself to la dolce vita, book a table by the window, bring your stretchy pants, and prepare to fall head over heels. I left with a belly fuller than a Roman emperor, a pocket of grissini crumbs, and a calendar already marked for my next visit, this place doesnt just serve dinner, it serves happiness on a hand painted plate. Grazie mille, Novita, you have officially ruined all other Italians for me forever!
