However, unlike several others…read morethat have come from a bridal perspective, let me stay from a groomsman point of view this women is awful. First of all RUN do not walk to any where else. Getting a Tux rented and fitted shouldn't be such a mess. This women worked with my family to fit the groom and his groomsman. Out of the gate, at the appointment she didn't bother trying to write anything down. This quickly escalated to her messing up each individual with whom she was measuring. The groom ended up writing it all down for her so she could keep everyone straight. (She didn't even spell the family name correctly) Secondly, the week before the wedding we had several parties coming from out of town. The process of getting the rental for each of use wasn't helpful at all, she started texting everyone demanding we show up in the middle of a work day. When explained that we were flying it the day prior to the wedding and wouldn't be available until Thursday mid-morning. We were told, that's unacceptable. Unacceptable?? who's working for who? Third, at the time of pick up many of the items shirts, pants, jackets required additional adjustments. Now I've rented formal wear before, normally you might have one or two adjustments. But the volume of adjustments, were just silly. My guess it came back to the initial fitting when she wasn't keeping proper notes. Forth, PRICE. What a joke, not only were the rentals more expensive than any of the chain stores, she charged for each last minute adjustment. Talk about a money maker, she charged 30-45 dollars for each temporary stitch. Really, the mistake was either with you or the warehouse you're renting from. But we get to pay. Each tux ended up being nearly $350 each... just for a point of reference . Five, Hours. This women is a one man band, the wedding we had was on a Friday. She states (as does Yelp) that the store is open until 3pm... LOL well as you could guess. Nope closed at 1pm. When does she open next, Monday at 9 (again right in the middle of a work day). When you have a small business there are several reasons people are willing to pay more than a big box store. Customer Service: 0 of 5 stars Attention to Detail: 0 of 5 stars Ability to be custom: 1 of 5 stars Paying Attention to the Market: 0 of 5 stars Price: 0 of 5 (Men's Warehouse would have had the same tux for almost $100 bucks less. Again run away from this place, grab a pizza from Krave and go anywhere else but here. Pay attention the only way she has 2 stars is that she's had personal friends post on her behalf.

After mt appointment I just had to stop in. I am so glad i did. I was the only customer at that time and Mariam (sorry if I spelled that wrong) was so helpful and sweet. She encouraged me to try on some dresses I wouldn't normally try that looked beautiful. I ultimately purchased the dress that caught my eye on the window. She even gave me the name of a local seamstress to shorten the dress for me, who was also amazing. I got so many compliments on this dress, so glad I stopped in here! So We took the hopeful chance :) Everything's great, we walk in and address ourselves and what we'd like done. My partner goes first and she has her tux jacket brought in to be more formed and fitted to fit her curves more. No problem, the owner leads her up to the mirrors and just starts stabbing away at her with pins to keep the suit in place. MIND YOU. He's taking no measurements, no notes of what we wanted done down. So we had full trust on this guy. He asks if it looks alright, and she says yes; entrusting this "professional" He takes it from her and then it's my turn. The changing rooms seem like shittily done construction rooms that were diy'd from YouTube. I come out with my dress and stand before the mirrors as my partner just did. He asks me what I want done; but dismissed me once I start talking and just does what he feels should be done. I told him I needed to take the waist in, shorten the length of the dress from the back to front, shorten the strings, re-adjust and re-size the simple bra cup padded in the top, and resize the hips of my dress to fit my more tightly as well as adjust my thigh split. We handed our attire to him and paid the total of $$$$$147 Yikes. But hey, it's our prom !! :) we earned it I thought. So we paid and waited to pick up our outfits on the 21st of may. He handed us a ticket that only gave us the date of when to pick up our goods. Along with our ticket number. We come back on the 21st, slightly after opening hours, because we weren't given a time to pick up our stuff, and we figured. "He just had weeks to finish, he's gotten have it ya know?" What's the harm. We walk in and he looks at us with such disgust, he also never wears a mask, and isn't fully vaccinated for being a very old man. we smile regardless and wave and ask if our stuff is ready for pickup. He says "What stuff? Who are you?" And we look at him all confused and hand him the ticket he handed to us prior. He still doesn't know who we are or what our "items" per se are. We're kinda irritated because like. Dude? What? And so we finally re jog his memory eventually He tells us that our stuff isn't ready yet. And to come back at 2pm We aggravatingly leave and come back at 2. He doesn't let us try on our stuff in the store so we end up having to go home to try everything on. And ew ew eww. My partners tux from the front was all bunch and while yes it was taken it, it wasn't like what we paid for. The back had a bunched up ruffle that was impossible to iron out. My dress wasn't even touched!!! The dress was exactly the same. Except the thigh split was cut so high that when I put it on, my whole was out! Ahhh We had our parents call back the store and talk to the owner. They were as enraged as us. :( He said it was no problem and that he could re fix the dress- just bring it in right away. So I did. He re-fitted me and said he couldn't do what I originally asked for. And I was pissed because on the phone he said he could, and we had already paid for everything!! And prom is in 6 days. He refused to cut the length of the dress He refused to resize the cups and top He refused to take the waist in and hips He refused to fix anything- without trying to RECHARGE ME FOR MORE!! The second time I went in was a feast for the senses. It was for Birmingham's "Day on the Town," where all of Birmingham's high-end retailers sell things 50% off. I got a purse for 50% off, and was very happy with it. It was stylish and just the right size. Before I bought something, however, I received some free pastries and espresso. This store has a very European boutique feel to it. They have a rotating selection of trendy purses, shoes, and accessories. It's a little on the pricey side, but if you can catch a good sale like I did, it's totally worth the splurge!
