You can see the food being cooked behind the bar which kind of lets you know what type of quality you'll be getting. My lobster bao had so much shell in it I had to send it back.(super awkward) the 2nd time it came out the bao wasn't even fully cooked. It was gross and wet but since I'd already sent it back once I just decided to eat the lobster with a fork. For $100 you can go to way better places. The house chardonnay was $18. I came here for a friends birthday and while the drinks were great, the food was seriously lacking. It is obvious that the restaurant part of this place was an afterthought. The food menu is limited, and the "kitchen" is nothing more than an insta pot and a couple of portable electric cooktops. The service was very slow but the servers were friendly and accommodating. I only had 4 super small potatoes and maybe 5 green beans on the plate, topped by an overcooked salmon filet that was snack or appetizer size at the most. The fumes inside from the way too small kitchen that's in the open is just not healthy. We both had burning eyes by the time we left, not to mention the toxic fumes we inhaled in order to eat and drink. I'm honestly not sure how inspectors allowed this place to open given the toxic cooking fumes. Not to mention the cocktails they have are above par and are good quality and well presented, this goes along with the ambiance of Bouzy. Its esthetic and ambiance is elegant and classy. Proving a nice, clean and professional aspect. One thing I'd like to add is out server, Brando was amazing. One of the best servers I've ever had. He was super nice and explained well the menu of the food and drinks. Not to mention that it was my birthday and he brought me out a beautiful dessert and even sang happy birthday to me. From the friendly and welcoming service to the awesome drinks to the fantastic lobster roll to the adorable decorations, they knocked it out of the park. My new favorite restaurant in Hyde park! My girlfriend, I went to have a nightcap there this Monday. We ordered a couple wines and a dessert. They brought us two waters. After a few minutes, I noticed there was something swimming in my drink. It was a pollywog. Seriously. I let the waitress know she apologized, then threw waters into the bushes. Few minutes later, the manager came over and asked if there was a problem. I always give restaurants 2 chances before reviewing. This restaurant both times have been terrible. First time, happy hour. Happy hour took us 30+ minutes to get a drink, a drink that's it. It was subpar to say the least. Second time we decided let's give the brunch a go, it's been a year why not. Brunch- we showed up for our 11:15 reservation- 3 course COLD entree (sliced salami, Publix quality) we received at 12:45 (I have a time stamp in case they come back. An hour and 30 min for cold salami? With nuts? Unacceptable. We then got our "main course" at 1:41 pm, aka 2 hour and 20 min into our reservation and it was COLD 1.5 pieces of bacon and frozen cold eggs, disgusting. I could have waited 20 min at a local diner for this. The excuse? "We're short staff" thank god for our server being great and transparent: worst brunch in tampa. read more

Enjoyed the tuna millefeuille, lobster bao buns and the Bordelaise mushrooms which were all flavorful and unique Enjoyed a bubbly cocktail as well as a glass of brut rosé with our food. The wait staff were all very nice and attentive. Sometimes in new spots like this it seems to be more common for the staff to be a little pretentious and/or aloof so it was great to see nice service from everyone. A bit bummed we didn't get seated in the Champagne cellar room in spite of making a reservation for it. We were told they likely overbooked it which was disappointing since my friend and I were excited to see that space but sitting in the bar area was fine. Online it is impossible to get a reservation, but when you're there it's dead inside, perhaps open more spots online so people actually book and not get turned away by "fake busy". There seems to be at least 2 different dining areas, one at the front of the restaurant which includes tables and the bar, and another in the back past the 'alleyway' in what they call their champagne cellar. We were really excited to try the food as it seemed interesting but ultimately the food was mediocre except for the grouper entree which was delicious and definitely the highlight dish of the evening. read more

I was very pleasantly surprised by Bouzy. I initially thought that this would be a pretentious experience but they seem to have channeled the comfortable yet stylish vibe of their sister restaurant (and one of my favorites) Cru Cellars. The food was fantastic. Given that a hurricane had just gone by the area there was an abbreviated menu, but everything that came out was very tasty. We had an interesting service experience in that our server was none other than the owner of the family of restaurants. And I never would've known this if my friends had not recognized her. She was so sweet and kind and what an incredible example she set by not being "above" filling in when the restaurant was short staffed.
