    Surf and Turf Benedict

First time dining at Bouzy and my girlfriend and I decided to try their brunch. The vibe is nice. The oysters were great but this doesn't require any cooking techniques. I did do the unlimited bottomless mimosas and I definitely had a headache later so that's my indication that the champagne used was "not ideal". The restaurant changed their menu literally the night before so what I initially prepared to try was off the menu when I arrived the next day. I was disappointed in my entree. It was so beautifully presented (surf and turf), a great portion size as well. But why did I need salt?! I have never had to season any entree at any of my past restaurant dining experiences and I eat everywhere. I'm usually sodium sensitive but no salt and not seasoned with anything else is just blasphemy.

Came here in the Hyde Park area for brunch and really enjoyed the vibe at Bouzy. The outdoor seating is great and felt more family-friendly, while the inside definitely leaned more adult. Food was good across the board...everything tasted really good. The shrimp and grits portion was way bigger than expected. Flavor was solid, but the grits were a little runny for my taste. The brown sugar waffles were my favorite dish. We also got in just in time for some holiday drinks, and those were a fun touch...very festive and cute presentation. It was my daughter's birthday, so the waiter brought out a dessert with a candle, which was really nice. Later we realized we were actually charged for it, which was a little surprising but still a good experience with great outdoor seating, good food. Just something to keep in mind if you're celebrating a special occasion lol.

Boozy is a cool little spot in Hyde Park, right across the street from Forbici. It's really small and quaint on the inside, which gives it a cozy, intimate feel. The kitchen is right behind the bar, so if you're sitting there you can actually watch them cooking, which is a nice touch. It's a great place for drinks. I've eaten here once and I think I got the grilled cheese. It was a while ago, but from what I remember it was pretty good. That said, I personally prefer Boozy as more of a drinks spot than a food destination. They also have a back room that I haven't actually sat in yet, but I've peeked my head in and it's gorgeous and looks super fun. I believe they do a mimosa special on the weekends, and sometimes have live music or a DJ back there, which is really cool. Overall, it kind of gives off a speakeasy vibe and is definitely worth checking out.

We just stopped for drinks while shopping at Hyde park. We sat in the champagne cellar and ordered multiple cocktails but our favorites are the Level One Martini and the Brut Rose. Love the glass ware and decor! Such a cute and classy venue!

We found Bouzy while walking around looking for a brunch spot on a rare trip to Hyde Park and came away very pleased with the experience overall, though there were a few minor hiccups with our visit. I'll start with the good stuff. The space inside Bouzy's front dining area and bar is gorgeous. It's not large, but it has very high ceilings, which add to the sense of space, and the modern decor, especially the bubble-inspired lighting, all add up to a bright and vibrant atmosphere. I can easily imagine it looks even more polished and stylish at night. Also, our food was excellent. We got the Florentine Benedict and the Shrimp & Grits -- both were beautifully plated and delicious. Also, if you're feeling snacky before brunch, try the Marinated Olives. It's easily a snack for two -- we even ended up taking some home! I did mention a few minor hiccups at the start. The bottle of Cava Reserva we ordered was not kept chilled, so we had to wait a little for it to come out and we did worry for a moment that we wouldn't get it before our entrees arrived. Also, our server, while very friendly and sweet, was a little uneven in terms of how often she came over to check on us. At the start, she seemed a little scattered, but later on she found her groove and came over to us more often to see what we needed. As I said, minor hiccups, and certainly nothing that would discourage us from another visit the next time we cross the bay and visit Hyde Park. Definitely curious about what it might be like at night!

We stopped by Bouzy on Friday night out for a quick drink before catching a movie. We decided on a bottle of the Honey Bubbles and the chips and dip. The bottle was served chilled which really enhanced the flavor. The chips and dip was your everyday rotel it was potato chips with french onion crème fraiche and caviar. This was my first time having caviar and it was such a light and fresh snack. Perfectly paired with our wine. This was such a nice place with an upscale feel to relax and catch up with a friend!

I think this place has potential but I won't be going back to give it another try. Super trendy vibe, pricey menu, but the food and drink don't match the atmosphere. We ordered truffle popcorn to start with... and it was stale. How do you get popcorn wrong when you're charging $6 for a small bowl?! The waitress offered to make us a fresh batch but we didn't want to risk it. Got the bread and butter instead and it was just meh. That's where we gave up on the menu and decided to leave. There were also gnats flying around everywhere which gave the place a less than clean feel.

My favorite date night restaurant! The cellar experience is always beautiful especially when they have live music! Amazing drinks and don't miss out on the most delicious toast you'll ever have! Great service too!

Bouzy Brunch - it was Bouzy & loud! My girlfriends and I did their Bouzy brunch in the cellar room yesterday. Our server was fun and attentive. We all ordered the bottomless mimosas for $25. You can switch back and forth between mimosas and bloody Mary's. For the mimosas, you can mix in your own OJ and mango juice. If you're looking for a party brunch, this is your spot. They had a DJ in the cellar and the music was super loud & fun. For food we ordered the citrus beet salad (added fish), the avocado toast with egg (added one more egg and a side of potatoes), and bacon, egg, cheese croissant (added a side of potatoes). The croissant was the most filling of the options we ordered. For a Bouzy brunch, I'd like to see more protein options on the menu. Overall we had a really fun time! Towards the end of brunch, people were dancing on the dance floor.

I loved the ambiance of Bouzy. It felt very intimate and upscale. The hostess greeted me and was very sweet. My waiter was pleasant and made sure I was doing ok. The lobster bun was DELICIOUS. I could honestly live off those lol. The Hyde Away drink was made to perfection. I will most definitely be back!

Underrated happy hour! I got the lychee martini and it was super unique. I thought it didn't taste like lychee as much as the Ro or Tori bar but was still delicious and fresh. My friend got the French 75 which was great as well. Service was great, and the bar is super cute.

Bouzy is such a gem in Hyde Park. The cellar is my favorite spot, it's so unique and makes you feel like you've been transported somewhere completely different. I love it for Thursday jazz nights and Sunday DJ brunch, the dark and lively vibe is unmatched. The bar and outdoor patio are also great depending on the mood you're in. The food is always amazing, especially the chopped wedge which is the perfect mix in every bite. Their martinis are top notch and our waiter Jesse was so friendly and attentive. Definitely one of my go-to spots.

The décor mixes old and new with vibrant colors and warm tones, comfortable seating, and bright lighting that makes the whole space feel genuinely fun. Started with a bowl of clam chowder loaded with the perfect amount of clams and vegetables--so creamy and scrumptious it could have been a meal on its own. A plate of Oysters On The Half Shel was equally excellent. For my entrée I ordered the hanger steak. (If you've never tried it, hanger is that deeply beefy cut from the diaphragm that butchers used to keep for themselves--hence the nickname "butcher's steak." Now I understand why.) It arrived super tender and full of flavor, paired with a generous serving of kimchi fried rice and a fried egg. The entire plate was wonderful and completely satisfying. Our server Vinny was a pure delight--pleasant, attentive, and just the right amount of fun. I loved The Pearl. You will too.

I never had to ask her for a refill on my Coke Zero; she just kept them coming! We started with some shareables for the table. Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts which were done just right. We also ordered a half cheese, half pepperoni pizza to share. I've never had a "Columbus-style" pizza before. If you're wondering, the crust is somewhat thinner than most pizzas, but not a thin-crust pizza. The toppings are spread all throughout the pizza to the edge, and then cut it in squares (Tavern style). It was very tasty, with a slightly sweet note. My hubby and I ordered the Cobb Salad (without bacon) which was delicious. I really liked the onions on it. It was very fresh and they served a generous portion. Hubby ate the whole thing, but I had the rest of mine for dinner. So good! Two of our friends ordered the Truffle Mushroom Smash Burger and they loved them. I tried my buddy's tater tots, which he ordered with his French Dip. They were nice and crispy, but could have used some kind of flavoring, like Parmesan or truffle. Doesn't mean I didn't eat them all! LOL. The restaurant looks small when you enter, but in addition to the front dining area and bar, it has two additional dining areas, as you walk towards the back, and another bar. If you find yourself in the Channelside area, you should definitely try out Small Giant.
