Gisellia was so welcoming! I stepped into such a wonderful variety of gorgeous pastries in their glass display cases! They even had sugar-free options. I was admiring the cute artwork created on some of the cupcakes. There were sharks and piggies featured. It was so cute. French and Italian pastries! There is a nice seating area and we were open to sit wherever! We sat near the wall because there were all sorts of photos of the history of this family 's bakery. My bff ordered to get a lovely salad !! I ordered a spinach cheddar mushroom omelette, and it was absolutely delicious and I took half of it home! I had to leave just a little bit of room for a piece of apricot rughela! Santa cachucha ! So delicious. We also brought home. A shark cupcake! It really had such a nice welcoming family feel & I felt like a cousin. I would definitely come back.

Omelette/Frittata

Food was fine but overall a little bland across the board. The chicken and waffles especially so, maybe so as to give the espresso maple syrup a chance to shine. Everyone enjoyed the breakfast potatoes, they were cubed and crispy and well seasoned. The lemon regatta pancakes did not have any lemon taste to them, and there was no evidence of lemon zest which was included in the menu ingredients. Service was fine, food took a bit to come out, but it was very busy during brunch so that's to be expected. The frittata wasn't really a frittata either, it was more like an egg crêpe with the vegetables sitting on top. The best part of the visit was getting pastries on the way out!

The food was delicious. Walking into the restaurant you hit the bakery area first and let's just say the temptation is real. Service was good. Family friendly environment and great tasting coffee. The decor is more Wooden chairs and tables. Great place for breakfast and prices are reasonable.

Acai Smoothie

TL;DR = Make sure to "garnish" your expectations here. Lazy execution of a smoothie with even lazier excuses. Zero stars if I could. Came here on a recommendation and ordered an Oreo cheesecake and açaí smoothie with no bananas. I was first charged for a bowl by mistake, but that was corrected, so no harm there. The $8 Acai BERRY FRUIT CUP* showed up half-blended, hidden with a pile of whole berries, none of which were listed. When I asked, the manager/owner Marco said that's how it's supposed to be and I should "just ask for no garnish next time." Right, because guessing unlisted ingredients is totally normal. So, is this a smoothie with "garnish," or just a lazy attempt at one, served with a side of even lazier management? You tell me.

Dined in this weekend for the 1st time as a 3 people brunch date. Parking was easy which i appreciated. It seems very casual, as we walked in and was instructed to seat ourselves. We ordered the mint tea smoothie. I wish there was more mint but it was refreshing. I ordered the breakfast sandwiches on a croissant and it was ok. They had a large selection of sweets and baked goods. I tried a chocolate chip cookie and it was also ok.

I would have rated 5 Stars if they had been able to serve anything other than regular coffee. We were there 1 hour before closing, but they only regular coffee was available, which was a bummer. They have a huge variety of Pastries and Cookies to choose from, and whatever we tried tasted pretty good. Macaroons were not that great, but they comped it and offered another pastry of our choosing, so +1 for Service. Cute decor with warm ambiance.

$9.95 for a side of bacon? No mam, no ham!!

The service was rather decent but the food was not. We popped in for lunch on a rainy Thursday afternoon and were able to get a table right away. The girl behind the bakery counter told us to sit wherever we wanted and that's what we did. The food was meh. I ordered a BLT and they somehow managed to mess it up. The bacon was hard as a rock and stale and so was the bread! The chicken fingers were basic- you know the ones you buy by the bag from Costco? Those! The waitress took 50% off of the price of my BLT which was nice....I guess. I sent the whole thing back and opted to not replace it with something else. The prices here are a little high for what they have to offer! $9.95 for a side of bacon is insane to me! I didn't bother trying any sweet treats. Those prices drove me right out of the door!!

we came here on a Sunday for brunch. food is pretty good but they service needs to be a lot better. they pretty much slack off and your sitting there with a empty cup of coffee for awhile. but when its to bring the bill they rush to get you out quick as possible. but other than that its a hit or miss. they have a big vireaty selection of pastries. so overall its decent.

It's been 5+ years since we last visited Bovella's (the Westfield location we visited frequently when we lived in the area). All I wanted were the rainbow cookies! The place was busy, but we were able to get what we wanted fairly quickly. Overall, the cookies were good and the coffee, was OK. rainbow cookies [5] other cookies [4] french macaroons [3] (kids rating) coffee [3.5] I will say that this location is much bigger and it has a menu as well. From what I could see, the food looked pretty good.

Blue Berry Bread Pudding French Toast

Who would give this place something less than 5 stars? I stopped by for lunch while in the area and grabbed blueberry bread pudding French toast. Phenomenal. Bacon was cooked perfectly. This was seriously phenomenal. I don't usually eat like this for lunch but this was worth the treat. And service was excellent - friendly efficient staff. Don't skip th is place!

There is street parking…read moreand a few parking lots in the area so we just parked at one, wanted about, and also made a stop here. As a nod to the name (Kirshenbaum is German for cherry tree), there are little cherries everywhere inside from signs to wallpaper. Ample seats, natural light, friendly staff, plus delectable treats make this place a good one to stop at. They also serve light bites but as we were sort of hopping from one place to another on a Sunday, I only ordered a few sweet treats. BLACK FOREST: my daughter picked this, likely because she thought it was a chocolate cake. But it was not your average chocolate cake. A good sized slice with moist cake, cherries, and dark chocolate bits throughout, I highly enjoyed this one. It's perfectly sweet - though I admit my daughter finished the exterior layer of frosting so the thin layered in between the cake were ideal for my taste buds. It was a bit too elevated for my daughter who only really wanted your regular chocolate cake. MATCHA CRUFFIN: This is a croissant-muffin filled with matcha cream, rolled in sugar. The laminated dough was packed so not like your airy-but-crispy-exterior croissant, nor was it noticeable buttery, but it did do its job by keeping its shape and the layers helped give its name. It was lovely to pull apart, with a nice, chewy texture. The filling wasn't exactly in the center (I shared this with my husband) so I dipped a little into the filling (borderline reminded me of pastry cream) that my husband got. It's light but also has a very nice matcha flavor that comes through. RASPBERRY LYCHEE PIE: I love pie and I was happy to find a uniquely flavored one here especially since it reminded me of my favorite ice cream flavor in Europe at Haagen Dazs years back (rose raspberry lychee) so I pounced on it. First off, this is definitely a mousse pie. We're vegetarian so a part of me wonders if gelatin was used to make this so I likely won't get this a second time without me asking the necessary questions - but it is good. As with most mousse confections, this is light and delicate in a way. Airy. Still substantial that I didn't feel cheated out of my money but not too filling. Nothing overpowered each other and the flavors and textures worked together beautifully. There were chunks of raspberries but I don't recall actual bits of lychee fruit in there, though you do get the flavor of it in there. I absolutely love the interesting flavors here and the items I got. I especially am a fan of how everything is perfectly sweet. I have a sweet tooth, but only for things that aren't too sweet and this is completely up my alley. They do have gluten free options but nothing extensive. And I'm pretty sure they include eggs. I have a kid with multiple food allergies and he couldn't have anything here so I got him a bottle of apple juice and he was content with it. I'll definitely stop by again to try more items and get a drink to go with. Maybe get my daughter a cookie since I hear they're pretty good.

Usually this location has great baked goods, and mediocre prepared hot food. Today i found some…read moregrey specs on my croissant which seem to be consistent with mold from humidity or from some other source of contamination.

First off: Service. I told the employee that this was my first time there, and they were more-than-happy to help me make a decision for my order. Patient and walked me through. Second: The Food. Let's get into it. 1) Cassava Latte ($7.50) - I was so pleasantly suprised at this drink; described as "(i)nspired by the Filipino dessert cake, made with condensed milk and coconut." The first sip, and I was intrigued! It was perfectly sweet, and the perfect mix of that coconut-dessert taste that cassava typically delivers! It tasted genuine, if that's possible. 2) Sinigang Croquette ($5.00) - This was interesting. Described as "Pork and Gabi (taro) shaped into a patty, rolled in Japanese bread crumbs, and deep fried. Served with our in-house sawsawan (dipping sauce)", it hit all the right notes. To be honest? $5.00 for 1 felt a bit steep. I'd pay $7.50 for two, though! 3) Boy Bawang Shio Pan ($7.50) - This was the most curious of all my purchases. Described as an "(i)n-house salt bread rolled in garlic and corn crumbs, filled with roasted garlic butter, topped with corn cheese whip. Inspired by the popular Filipino snack: Boy Bawang. THIS ITEM I SING ITS PRAISES. I am an absolute lover of the Boy Bawang Garlic Flavor Corn Snack --- much more pungent than anything Corn Nuts could ever offer. This Shio Pan absolutely delivered with its roasted garlic flavor! And as soon as you take a few bites ---- you get hit with that roasted garlic butter --- and let me tell you, they are not shy about their filling! Absolute master class --- but it's only for a limited run. You should definitely try! Third: Ambiance - The Cafe is quaint --- and has a seating area that could maybe fit between 18-24 people? It's just along the side of the business, but I managed to get a table for myself. Ayala, you did not disappoint! Can't wait to try your Sisig Flatbread for the next round!
