Helped to host a 12-15 people company bowling event here, and it was quite a ha-PIN-ning place! We had two lanes that shared two small, surfboard-like tables in the middle for food and drinks. There were also other company groups bowling next to us. Fun "night out" low-lit neon lighting atmosphere with upbeat energetic music, including top hits and 90s throwback. On the pricier side event for $/headcount, though worth it cause we all had fun spending our SPARE time here! Had to shout a bit to make conservations, but hey, none of us hesitated to cheer at the top of our lungs when a coworker made a X. We selected our company package to come with rental shoes, drinks, and food (mozzarella sticks, chicken tacos, chicken tenders, salad, pizza), and service was quick to take our drink orders. Food came out within the first 30 minutes while we bowled and once most people arrived. Food is served down the steps behind where we bowled and was kept warm in trays. Decor is ADORABLE! They had various signs that say "Strike", "Spare", "Bowl". We happened to STRIKE a deal with a special one that had extra sparkles of twinkling lights! Food recs? The chicken tacos were DELICIOUS! We had expected chunks or shreds of chicken... instead it came out in this soft texture that was so good we thought they gave us the wrong order of fancy fish or something. We bowled for two hours. Plenty of time to play a few games and small talk in happy hour vibes after work. There's no abrupt indication that your time is up (no buzzer nor does the machine suddenly stop)... but a staff will come by to courtesy let you know your time is up. read more

Another great fun day at Bowlero in the District we received wonderful customer service, and we got to meet their District Manager Chris. He was very helpful and when a friend came late, he allowed us to start our game over, which was very kind and considerate. They have a full bar with "top shelf" alcohol, and a great menu of food. I booked my son's 10th birthday here, and it was the best decision. It was SO easy to book online. The website makes it so easy, so user friendly (as that's not my forte most of the time). Prices, dates, times, food choices, arcade cards--all crystal clear. I chose the package that included the cookie cake, so I literally arrived to my son's party as if I were the guest. You don't have to bring anything unless you WANT to bring your own cake and balloons, etc. For me, I figured it already looks cool in there, so no need for extras. Why bring a cake when they provide the dessert? Also, they have the coolest candle-sparkler!!! The young boys got a huge kick out of that! I did purchase extra arcade cards, but they didn't have time to do them anyway. It's fine, though, because I'll use them when we go bowling next time. They provide a $5 gift certificate as a party favor, so they can bowl again next time. They even have your child's name up in lights! Sooo cute!!! YIKES! *** Even without tip and tax, that's damn expensive for bowling. *** The weekend rate after 6PM is $10.39/game & $6.99/shoe rental. *** Sadly, it's financially impossible for any working class family to frequent Bowlero on a regular basis during "peak" hours. To be honest though, even their non-peak prices were wayyyy too expensive. We have a kid and would certainly consider ourselves "working class," ... Bowlero is not somewhere we can afford to visit consistently if we want to bowl. As you can see, there are both pros and cons. Organized a fun adult birthday here with the help of Michaela (our event coordinator) and Ariana (our server). Total cost was $383.24 for two hours of bowling (including shoe rentals) for six adults, three entrees, and two premium drink tickets each. When we arrived, there was a very cute station set up behind our lane for food with a "Happy Birthday" sign. The food came out about 15 minutes after our event started. We also brought a cake, which Ariana stored for us and brought out (at our request) about 30 minutes before our event ended. She even brought us a sparkler candle to put on the cake! The food was massive in quantity and surprisingly good in quality -- obviously not the best wings or pizza we'd ever had, but better than we expected for bowling alley food. Ariana was so friendly and efficient, kept our tables clean, and took our drink orders promptly. Even when the rest of the bowling alley filled up and she had more lanes to take care of, she kept our event going super smoothly. I'll note that the more experienced bowlers on the team had a little trouble adjusting at first because the "balls were oily" so they couldn't get the spin right (whatever that means), in case that means anything to you real bowlers out there. This is a fun place to bowl and hangout, located upstairs next to Planet Fitness. The online reservation was pretty easy, I booked 2hrs slot the day before 4th of July. The Host Ashley was very welcoming, she greeted my group after we checked in and took us to our lane. She explained to us how to work the keypad to enter our names and everything. The also have the touch screen so you could order your food and drink thru the Kiosk, but since it wasn't too busy, our server just told us to order from her instead of using the machine. I really love the vibe of this bowling alley, love all the TVs you can watch while you bowl or just hang out at the bar. The multi colors of all the pins and bowling balls are pretty cool too. I usually don't like bowling, but I had a nice time at Bowlero. It's high tech, with screens everywhere, and it doesn't smell like feet. I've also never seen automated bumpers, and you can set bumpers to be up for one person and down for another. The touch screens to order food and drinks weren't working, and the service was kind of slow. But the manager (I'm guessing this was the person who checked on all the lanes) was nice and helpful. Parking can be tricky, so come early if you can. read more

This Tustin Bowlero has 30 lanes and is located in the District on the second level next to Planet Fitness. You could have quite the day working out and bowling after. Atmosphere (4/5): Bowlero's design is thoughtfully designed to bring entertainment everywhere you look and conveniently close to your fingertips. There are high-definition screens set above the pins and menu ordering screens in each lane. There were nice cushions and longboards set as decorations. A small critique was the menu ordering screens were not strategically placed closer to the edge so others would not bump into them as they walk back to their seats from bowling. There is AC and the place seemed fairly clean and modern. The lanes were fairly maintained. One other small difference was the pin strings that held the pins together. Pricing (3/5): Pricing is listed on signs with about $8 per person per game and $7 shoe rentals. Unless you come here for Monday night $22 unlimited games after 8 PM, come during off hours, or purchase vouchers through third parties, the pricing can be quite high. I wish that they could announce more specials on their site on separate days for college students, teachers, first responders, etc. Bar/Menu (3/5): Screens advertise colorful signature cocktails. There are many common American appetizers, pizzas, and burgers for sale. Corporate put in thought regarding different demographics such as vegetarians and popular party items such as beer towers, punch bowls, and beer buckets for group parties. I don't see any Yelp pictures of menu costs or even on their website. I did not like that we had to walk up to the bar to view pricing and beers on tap similarly at Daves and Busters. Arcades (2/5): Unfortunately, my friends thought their arcade and game selection were quite limited. I understand there's limited spacing but there were a few games that were not functional and the cost to play was very high without any tickets for prize redemption. You must load money onto a card and there weren't any games that I could use my remaining credits. I did like that they had the Mario carts air hockey, and the boxing bag. Twice yearly, we celebrate my kids' birthdays at the same location, and have done so for years now. The food, service, and ambiance have driven the decision to pay the Bowlero pricing, which historically, has been a nice experience. Recently we hosted my daughter's birthday. For the party, we had agreed upon corkage for three bottles of wine, and settled on the same menu we have had several times in the past, which is garlic chicken and pizza, for 20 or so guests. Unfortunately, it took 35 minutes past the party start time (of the 2 hours allotted to the party) to get a wine opener, after asking multiple times. The food, as well, was far below what we've experienced before. The pizza was almost non-existent - perhaps 1/2" thick? It resembled cardboard. The wings were over-done and extremely salty. I unfortunately found this out toward the end of the party, as our gracious guests had not complained to me about the food quality. The next day, I reached out to the manager I had booked with, which required a follow up after several days of no response. The service recovery offered: removal of one the corkage fees, for a Bottle that was not opened. This is seems to be an extremely low-effort attempt, and certainly does not feel good as a loyal guest. We will be choosing another venue for our celebrations in the future. read more

The young man who helped us was super friendly and was able to get us a lane and all of our bowling shoes with in minutes , easiest check in ever! Place was pretty packed with a lot of families and couples bowling. We had a lot of fun , the music was great and it was easy to order some appetizers and drinks from the monitor they had at each lane. We ordered a fish bowl sized drink to share and a sampler platter and a large pretzel. Food and drinks came out quickly, server was great!! I'm not an avid bowler, but it's something I do enjoy every now and then. I've been here several times due to location but didn't realize how extremely pricey this place is until I went to Forest Lanes (not too far from here in Lake Forest). It was going to cost us $241 for 3 people to bowl on a "peak time" .. Saturday night, see screenshot! They also force you to spend $25 per person for food and beverages. In addition, minimum time was 2 hours, nothing shorter. I went down the street to Forest Lanes, paid $74 for 3 of us for 1 hour and 20 minutes which was PLENTY of time for a small group. We had a great time, no hidden or forced fees. At Bowleros price point, it's simply not sustainable or justifiable to visit anymore. Regarding the $25 per person food/beverage credit, I'm not a fan of when businesses force you into those arrangements. It does say if it's unused, the credit/gift card can be redeemed in the future but let's be real, we're going to misplace that card and it's just free money for the business. The thing is, we probably would spend that anyway in food or drinks, but the idea of it being forced doesn't sit well. read more

My review is on the bowling only, not the arcade or anything else. I've been here a few times and it's not a bad place to go bowling and have some drinks. Mondays are $21.95 for unlimited play after 8PM until close (includes shoe rental). During normal hours, bowling is charged PER GAME, PER PERSON. You are also charged for shoe rental. It may not seem like a lot, but if there's only two people in your party the games go by fast. And if I remember correctly, the minimum price per game/per person is $9.39, and you have to pay for each person's shoe rental. After certain hours of the day, it's even more expensive. They do have an app where each dollar you spend gets 10 points, and those points can be used to getting a discount on games, etc. We had to change lanes on multiple occasions as every lane we played on had some sort of issue (random pin falling for no reason, etc.). The resolution of the TV doesn't match the program that is used to display on it, so the left and right sides are cut off. Overall the place is pretty nice. It has a cool atmosphere to hang out with some friends, especially if you're going bowling. If there's less than 4 people in your party and you're looking to bowl (not on a Monday night), I would go elsewhere to get your money's worth. read more

Came here with a few of my friends that all have a summer pass. We put our name down on the waitlist at 4:30pm and they told us the wait would be 30-45 minutes. We waited and came back around 5:30pm to ask about the waitlist. We were told that the wait would be another 45 minutes at least. First time bowling at Bowlero--we picked up the gift cards from Costco and decided to give them a try today. We went shortly after lunch on a weekday so things were pretty slow (maybe only 5 lanes in use). Behind the counter was a screen which displayed a promotion--it wasn't cheap, but not terrible either. The staff proceeded to tell me that the pricing on the screen is not valid--I managed to take a picture of it before they turned off the screen. Note that there's no pricing or rate sheet listed anywhere. After some back and forth, the manager said he would honor the pricing, even though the promo was supposed to be over already. After we were done bowling, I checked the Bowlero website, and guess what--that special is listed. Very dishonest. Even if I could get past the dishonesty, I don't think I would come bowl here again if they can't even have a simple price/rate sign available. As for the lanes--they are not in great shape, and also the first time where I have seen strings attached to the bowling pins for the reset mechanism. Didn't seem like it worked too well, and seemed like it actually affected how the pins fall when the ball is thrown. This is a great spot to go bowling. This is a luxury bowling alley with glow in the dark lanes, sports bar and arcade all in one. It is on the pricer side but they tend to have great deals on Groupon.
