When I visited my friend who lives in Orlando, I told her I wanted the full Orlando experience and Boxi Park was the perfect way to start off my trip! I was told there were a lot of food trucks there, but I realized walking around that all of the food trucks are in large storage containers or BOXES, hence the name Boxi Park! After walking around looking at all of my options, I decided to get some tacos from La Canonita Taqueria. Living in San Antonio, I have become a little persnickety with my tacos. La Canonita gave me some of the best carne asada tacos I have ever had! I was worried that the tacos themselves wouldn't be enough, so I got the chips and salsa. That was some of the best salsa I have ever had! It was the perfect balance of flavors and spice and had somewhat of a sweet after taste. I couldn't eat it fast enough. I topped my meal off with some chocolate soft serve from Before it Melts, which was great despite the chill of the night. The we talked the night away and listened to the cover band. Boxi Park is a great place to visit, catch up with friends, bring your dog or just go to sit and have a good time. There were other options such as ping pong tables and sand volleyball courts. I've been back to Boxi Park twice now and I am absolutely obsessed! Lol! I love that there is a variety of food, drink, and dessert in a very welcoming and fun area. The location itself is not hard to get to and has a lot of available seating. Something very welcome compared to something like the Lake Eola Farmer's market, where I would normally hang out. They have fans and plenty of shade as well! There are plenty of dogs around, plus a dog area where they can drink and use the bathroom. Finally, there are a lot of recreational activities like giant jenga, cornhole, beer pong, beach volleyball, and a kid's park. As far as the food: I tried Claw and Order and this was enough to have me coming back! I love seafood and lobster rolls. The Original Recipe was enough to have me hooked. The bread is soft, crunchy, and not easily spiked through. I thought the hollandaise might be too much for the flavors but it was perfect! I spent the extra 2.50 for hollandaise and lobster fries and was also worth it! I also tried Cañonita. We ordered one of everything. They were super tasty and I could have scarfed down more! (I ate three, I think four would make you full if you have an appetite like mine!) The crunchy barbacoa was my favorite! We finished off with some Ice Cream, pretty well priced for 3.75. Mine melted really fast so I would get it in a bowl next time probably. Can't wait to come back! read more

The food is amazing here, I had a buffalo chicken sandwich. From a place in the park called Fowl Play. It was full of flavor the buffalo sauce wasn't over powering the pickled cabbage gave it just the right flavor and the chicken breast was juicy and well seasoned. This place is seriously cool. Its a food and music park made out of shipping boxes and everything is portable! They manage to run the place in a way that makes you think its permanent. My party enjoyed trying food from various ventors- drinks, apps, entrees and dessert all from different parts of the park. We sat down and listened to music while we ate. My son, who is 2.5 yrs old, had fun running around on the astroturf and playing with the cardboard blocks there. He enjoyed the playground, which had some toys to play with and tires to play on. The location is pretty ideal for those who live or work around Lake Nona. For us, its a bit of a hike. Its so fun that we will return every once and a while to enjoy the community, food and music. read more

This is such a fun spot to come and visit to just hang out and grab some food or drinks. They have live music and lots of options when it comes to food. I've been wanting to check out Boxi since I heard about it. Finally made it out there unexpectedly to the farmers market they have on Saturday mornings in the parking garage. Then last Friday I made it to Art After Dark event they have every Friday night that I have been wanting to check out. I was disappointed with the art booths they had, it was about 5 booths & mainly jewelry. But we walked over to the Boxi Park & after looking at all the different venues for food we decided we had to try the Claw & Order seafood place. So my boyfriend went with herb lemon lobster roll, which was his first lobster roll experience & he loved it. I went with the bang-bang rock shrimp, which was good but a little overcooked. We had to get the waffle fries so I got the plain ones & he went with the lobster & hollandaise waffle fries which was way better than my plain waffle fries. The food was kinda pricey but in my opinion worth it for seafood & all. At Boxi Park there is something for everyone & the crowed is very diverse. They had a stage with club like music playing. The only downside is we live in Florida where it rains every day so of course as we were waiting for our food it started to pour & there is not much cover there. We will definitely be back be side our goal is to try all of the box container restaurants so I will be back with more reviews once I try another box restaurant there. read more

It is dog-friendly so there are lots of families with pets (leashed, of course) and a stage for live performances. I would definitely come back for a chill place to hang out. Boxi Park has many different container (food stands) to choose from. The following containers serve chicken sandwiches, burgers, seafood, tacos, margaritas, beer, and desserts. I love the variety. Live music is also here. The seating area is quite spacious. Since we came on the first few days, it was extremely crowded. The crowd control was awesome since the line moved so fast. As soon as people exited, they allowed more people to come in. Don't get scared by the line for getting in. It's worth the visit. I am sure after a few months, the crowd amount will be normal. I like that they put this in Lake Nona. So much space, doable parking. I can't imagine this any other location. My only complaint is that the food did take a tad long but that was not something that can be controlled with huge crowds. I order the Fowl Play Chicken sandwich. It was very tasty and tender. I believe it cost $6 something. I ordered no fries. I would definitely come here again. Unfortunately, I couldn't hit up the dessert container since there was a large line. What an awesome concept. Overall this place was amazing. It had a place for kids to play live music and the feeling of a food truck rodeo. For concept five stars for food three stars. When it comes to food choices for children blah just boring. As for the adults the food was better but just average nothing that says wow I can't wait to come back. Perhaps we picked the wrong boxes to eat from our choices was burgers which were great, chicken tenders which were boring unseasoned. The fries were not crisp and unseasoned. Finally there was no substitutes or add-ons allowed so for kids there was only a cheese quesadilla no meat allowed. My husband and I are just visiting Lake Nona. They recently had an event, tickets were $10 per person. They had a fabulous band, fun and talented dancers, a bubble machine that produced fluorescent bubbles. They also had mixed drinks, beer, non alcoholic drinks and food. In the food category they had lobster rolls plus extra, cheese curds, hot wings, chicken sandwich, and more to be explored. I went on the first day of previews at around 5pm and I was able to walk right in, was not too crowded yet! There are about 6 food places and 3 bars that you can indulge in. My bf and I tried Claw and Order, the grill next door, hops and vine, fowl play, and Cañonita! I have to say our favorite had to be the lobster rolls ($11, this seems pricey because the roll is small but the flavors that come with every bite makes it sooo worth it!!) and the guacamole and chips ($5, comes with a good amount of guac and chips to share with 2). The sangria that I got from hops and vine was also so sweet and tasty ($8). I ordered two of these and they were overcooked and rubbery; the buns were oily and the sauces were bland. I had very high expectations and was let down horribly... What a fun date!!! When you come to Boxi Park on a Friday night, you get to choose between six different food-truck-type restaurants and there are no bad options. My husband and I split chips and guac and a taco sampler. The portions were a little small, but the food was quality. There are a lot of things to do around Boxi Park. We walked through the vendor fair, watched a game of volleyball, listened to the DJ, and played giant Jenga on one of their picnic tables. This place is so cute. First off, I'm obsessed with shipping container tiny homes and this place gave me allll the vibes! It's basically shipping containers as food trucks. They have a seafood, chicken, pizza, burger, taco, and ice cream container. Then they have 3 with alcoholic beverages! Plenty of seating areas, a spot for playing volleyball, a park for the kiddos and a stage for live music. There's fans everywhere to help keep cool! My favorite thing about this place is each spot had a least one vegan option! So I tried the taco place. I got the vegan maple roasted mushroom tacos, guacamole and salsa. 10/10 would definitely get it again. I was still a bit hungry bc the tacos are a little small, so I went to the chicken spot and got their "chick"pea and cauliflower wrap. This wasn't terrible but it wasn't for me. My sister got the donuts from there and they were tasty! Got the passion fruit blood orange margarita which was good but if I were to come back, I'd pass the $14 ($17 after tip) margarita. I couldn't really taste the tequila in it and for $14, I excepted more! I'd just go with the beers which are responsibly priced! Just looking around, the people who ordered the pizza got their money's worth IMO! There's a free parking garage or you can take the self driving tram/bus from Canvas. Great hang out place for some delicious food. The price was reasonable for the amount of food you get. There are workers walking around and would check up on us here and there which was pleasant. I opted for something sweet while my friends got the lobster roll and chicken tenders. Both were delicious, by the way. My black out ice cream was good but fair warning, turns everything black as in your mouth and teeth. So be careful when eating. Make sure to follow them on Instagram, where you can see what music will be played and what activities are going on for specific days. Side note: only open Thursday - Sunday. Yesterday they had about 6 food vendors which was nice. We tried 3 of those and I have to say my favorite is the 'grill next door' (burgers). I think their prices were reasonable and the double burger was tasty! 'Canonitas' was the taco place and we tried 'the jefe' which is a sampler plate of everything. Be careful as 2 of the tacos are super spicy . The last place we tried was 'Claw & Order' which is a lobster joint. The lobster roll was delicious. Unfortunately I won't be ordering from them again because their lobster portion was too small for $17. They could be a little more generous. read more
