After walking around the Stanley Marketplace with my coworker friends on a recent Monday, we decided to sit down and have lunch at Boychik and it did not disappoint! We decided on sharing a hummus plate with both veggies and pita to start and it was delicious. I had the Greek Salad with chicken as my entree and the others had a chicken shawarma plate and a salmon plate. Everything is fresh and colorful and the portions are large and everything is plated beautifully. What a find! Boychik has an interesting name that didn't give me much of an indication what I'd be eating, but a friend who knows food picked it so I knew it would be good. It was so memorable I decided to come back with friends when they officially opened. It's been a hot minute but this review is way overdue. Boychik has seriously THE BEST PITA in town, IMO. Their pita - fluffy, soft, chewy and warm.... The soft and chewy is what I'm addicted to. Such a different way to do pita when compared to any other Mediterranean style food. Whipped feta wasn't very exciting and probably wouldn't get again. Labneh was tasty and different but definitely A+ for the Toum. I was very disappointed with how little veggies and pita we got compared to the ratio of dips and spreads. For that price it felt stingy and main reason why I couldn't give five stars. Really solid Mediterranean spot. The trio dip was probably my highlight. The whipped feta and golden beet toum were so so good. My husband got the gyro wrap and has been talking about it ever since. Just charge what you charge don't add a Stanley marketplace community fee and than an Operational surcharge. Had a tremendous experience last night at Boychik in the Stanley Marketplace. First we got to eat with the chef and his wife and hear descriptions of the appetizers, sides and plates as they came to the table. We started with a variety of dips and pita and veggies. The carrot, yogurt dip and hummus were my favorites and bring out the flavor of all the other food. Roasted cauliflower and the Yukon gold potatoes were so good! The flavors and spices jump off veggies and paired with the sauces you have s slice of heaven. Our plates were chicken shawarma, falafel and lamb. Boy are we thrilled Boychik has finally arrived at the Stanley Marketplace! A highly anticipated opening that's been a long time coming. After Chook exited, we needed something exciting to open in this space. The owners put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into the restaurant and it shows. Beautifully designed, bright and airy atmosphere, very comfortable environment to dine in. I'm no stranger to Boychik's concept and the people behind it. I've had their food on several occasions at pop up events. And the people behind the scenes have been in the restaurant industry for years executing stellar concepts. They have passion and they have a boatload of talent to boot. Boychik leans into the Mediterranean inspired traditions with a modern day interpretation. The menu is a unique cross between a fast casual Greek place and higher end Mediterranean restaurant. Meaning you'll find shawarma wraps on the menu but also more composed dishes like marinated swordfish, Tel Aviv Caesar, and grilled yams. A must order when you come here are the dips and spreads. At the top of the menu you'll find 6 offerings that are served with pita and veggies. You can choose 3 for $22 (at the time of this review). We ordered the Traditional Hummus, Labneh, and Muhamarra. All of them were delicious with the latter being my top spot. For mains, I went with the Lamb Gyro Plate. All plates are served with pita, cucumber tomato salad, zhoug, traditional hummus, and quinoa tabbouleh. First off you can see the two spits at the centerpoint of the restaurant, so you know you're getting the highest quality meat. The lamb was tender, juicy and succulent. The star of the show for me was the zhoug, which paired absolutely perfectly with the lamb. All the other players were prepared with thought and care. For $20, it's a huge plate of food! A friend had recommended this lovely place in Stanley Market place and I checked it out with a group of friends. The ambiance is more casual and loud, think more casual date or hanging out with friends versus fancy date place, Dips and Spreads: We tried the hummus which was pretty amazing, the muhammara which was so flavorful and tangy as well as a pureed sweet potato dish. I must talk about the sweet potatoes as they were pureed and not very appetizing to look at, however the flavor combination was amazing. We cleaned the bowl as new with the delicious bread. The fries were well flavored but a little soggy. Salads: While it sounds simple, the Caesar salad was so well-executed as was the fried cauliflower salad. The mint really made the cauliflower salad stand out. Mains: I had the Lamb Gyro platter as well as the Falafel platter and both were beyond fantastic with the sides and bread. A few friends with us had some wraps and they raved as well. The chicken shawarma wrap seemed to be a particular hit Dessert: For dessert I had some type of pistachio, chocolate ice cream goodness. I've been eagerly waiting for Boychik's opening since they teased us with a superb presence and energy at Fall's Stanley Marketplace Sock-hop Yelp Event and a subsequent community event. Boychik did not disappoint! Their southeast location at Stanley is outstanding, as they have renovated the interior with amazing results. It's comfy and a great setting, complete with a bar. In warmer weather, they'll be able to sit at a number of tables outside, and if they strategize well, it'll be visible and wonderful to visit. I was in a rush on Day Two, but I had to get a quick bite to support their new venture and taste their food. Kathy and I enjoyed an excellent Gyro Wrap with its accompanying veggies. I loved the tzatziki! We also enjoyed good service, hilarious staff t-shirts, and kind customer service throughout our visit. We will definitely be coming back for a full meal sometime soon. The feta is so smooth and tangy - if you eat it with some pita, it tastes very much like a very high quality plain bagel with cream cheese which is chef's kiss for bread and cheese lovers like me. 2. We had a yummy, light bottle of Greek red wine accompanied by a mezze platter; the hummus was smooth and delicious, the pickled cauliflower was piquant, and the baba ganoush was very tasty. The pita was lightly toasted and perfectly chewy. We got plenty of it to soak up the delicious muhammara. The lamb shawarma was good, but I would have liked the lamb a bit juicier, that is my only critique. The service was excellent and the staff were warm, friendly and knowledgeable. We held back from ordering everything on the menu, but got a great sampling to judge Boychik by. We were impressed with the flavorful hummus and fresh, fluffy pita. The muhammara and Moroccan sweet potato were also excellent. The latter was a new dish for me, and I loved it. I appreciate that they serve the dips with both pita and fresh vegetables. The chicken and lamb were tasty, as were the salads and sauces that came with them. The falafel was a bit different in texture and flavor than I'm used to, but we enjoyed it! I tried their food at a special event in late 2023. This 2nd location at the Stanley Marketplace opened in Feb 2024. The space is located on the southeast corner of the food hall. They have an outside entrance but the inside access is down a hallway that shares access to the kitchen for Atomic Cowboy and a back entrance to Annette. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is light and airy with plenty of windows and soft wood tones.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nice menu with a large selection of cocktails and wines. The food is primarily Mediterranean but a burger is available. I started with a Pomegranate Spritz, a nice non-alcoholic beverage. I chose a classic Lamb Gyro plate with a large Pita bread, cucumber & tomato salad, a large dollop of traditional hummus with olive oil, zhoug and quinoa tabbouleh. A very nice lunch. I added a large side of Zaatar fries. I was served by LaRae C. She was quick and pleasant. They charge a 1% community fee for the Stanley Marketplace and a 3.5% surcharge. I found Boychik when in Denver (Aurora) for a professional meeting. Ever since discovering really good hummus in Israel, I've been on a quest to find good hummus in the US. I found it!!!! I've sampled a lot of hummus at a variety of kinds of Midde Eastern restaurants, but none of them can hold a candle to this. Creamy and flavorful beyond words. As good as the best hummus I had in Israel (or anyplace). I had it with fried cauliflower--a dish I never had in Israel but have had before at a variety of Middle Eastern restaurants in the US. I've enjoyed it but this restaurant provided me with the peak experience on this too. Fried to just the right crispy but not soggy consistency, with excellent spicing and the perfect amount of citrus flavor. This combo was so good that when I finished my meal and was stuffed to the point of not being able to eat another bite, I ordered a duplicate version of the meal to take home. I had a chat with the owner who was very nice. He freely shared details of how they make the hummus and what makes it so good (lots of details matter, but what is probably the most important is using really good imported tahini and lots of it. We tried boychick for a quick dinner recently, they had A TON of servers on staff and it was about 5 pm and only starting to pick up by the time we left. We lived the baba ganoush and would come back just for that. We split the falafel and the gyro wraps but both of those were not quite as good or pulled us in comparably to the baba ganoush. We'd try some other options next time to see if we can find what we like. The ambiance is interesting, what I can only call millennial gray, which if that's your thing it works but felt a little too ikea ish for us. Staff was friendly and accommodating for my vegan dietary restrictions. They recommended a really great alternative sauce for the fries that was garlic and oil based. This new Mediterranean inspired restaurant just opened at Stanley about a month ago. I went on a whim with my partner to check it out, and we had a great experience. The restaurant is light tones with a calm ambience; lots of natural sunlight during the day time. They have a menu that can cater to most diets, but I appreciated that it wasn't overwhelming in options. The prices are all very reasonable especially for a dining spot inside Stanley. Had a great birthday lunch with friends this past weekend at the Stanley Marketplace location. We were greeted and seated right away, it wasn't too busy for a Saturday! We each tried a different wrap: a lamb, chicken and friend cauliflower. All delicious, all came with a side of quinoa. We also had the baba ganoush with pita appetizer and really liked that at well! As a Mediterranean food snob I highly highly recommend to try their awesome Falafel plate & chicken Shwarma! It will knock your socks off!

Tried this place before another event at the Stanley Marketplace and I was not just pleasantly surprised, I was blown away. I am a huge fan of Mediterranean cuisine and everything was top notch. Highly recommend the schwarma and falafel hummus bowls. They were so good, we joked about licking our plates clean. The pomegranate spritz was also delicious. The wait staff was extremely attentive; although we had a water carafe on our table, I never once filled up my own glass. I can't believe I didn't even snap a photo before we dug in! But you have to trust me that it was as beautiful as it was delicious. read more
