My spouse and I had tried several times to get into Lady Nómada and finally learned that reservations are essential -- it fills up by happy hour (2-5 PM) and stays busy through dinner. We had a 5:45 PM reservation but the dining room was already full, so we sat at the bar and were immediately offered menus, water, and house-made chips and homemade salsa (Aaaah-mazing salsa!). Service was friendly and welcoming from our server Hunter to the bartenders and food runners -- everyone was happy to chat. We sampled a couple cocktails (Elderflower Prickly Pear and the Spicy Mezcal). If you like mezcal, the Spicy Mezcal is a perfect balance of heat and bright citrus. The prickly pair is too sweet for my taste buds but love the presentation. For my entrée I tried the Nomada's Best of Plate -- a grilled taco, chicken enchilada (I added green chili), and crispy carnitas (I ate these with a tortilla). All three were excellent and distinct; the chicken enchilada was my favorite and likely what I'll order next time. My wife had the crispy carnitas fajitas -- a generous portion and very easy to eat thanks to a thoughtful presentation. Highly recommend -- just be sure to make a reservation. read more

CAUTION: manager punishes customers for complaining about an ill-conceived, poorly executed seating policy. I was a first-timer with five other fun, chill ladies 50+ on Cinco de Mayo. Three of us had driven from significant distances. Two were late, due to crazy snow. Our friend had made reservations for the high-top table IN THE BAR AREA. Upon arrival, the hostess DID mention to our organizer that the table was ours until 6. That sounded odd, but certainly they wouldn't expect us to leave if we're still eating and drinking, right? We were having a great time, and being gracious despite a few issues, like my friend getting a strangely colored margarita that tasted bad -- unlike her first, or any of the others in the entire restaurant. She explained and asked for it to be remade. Another girl brings it back again, making her re-explain. She begrudgingly took it back and replaced it. At 5:40, as people started bugging out, our snow-delayed friend arrived and our waitress took her food order, along with another friend's order for a pitcher of beer. They arrived quickly. At 5:50, we got a visit from manager Alex, asking us to wrap things up and leave. We were confused, and asked why this was necessary, since we were in the BAR section, had just been served food and beer, and people were leaving. Alex was not amenable to applying practicality to the situation. My friend who'd just been served her pitcher of beer asked which option she was supposed to exercise...pay for and leave her full pitcher, or slam it and then drive home to Boulder. Alex didn't like that, and reluctantly offered to comp the quesadilla and beer -- like it was some grand gesture. As we gathered our things, more customers left, leaving four seats open around the actual bar. EUREKA! We didn't have to leave! My friend and I sat in two, and two others sat across from us. We knew we'd find one more, and we did. Cool, right? Nope. Alex confronts me and says, I noticed you guys moved to the bar. (I thought I was being punked.) So I reply, "Yes, is there a problem with us taking available seats after having to leave our table?" He says something about us being rude. To which I said, "I'm not being rude. If you're referring to us talking amongst each other about how this situation was handled, we have the right to speak." He then informed us he was cutting us off. I wasn't one of the ones comped, and we weren't drunk. He just didn't like that we pushed back. He left, and seconds later, the drink I'd ordered before this "chat" was placed in front of me. When Alex saw it, he pulled bartender Hunter aside and had words with him. Which made matters worse, because Hunter is so kind, and he knew we were cool. Anyway, I happily sipped my drink, and we started watching the Avs. We weren't obnoxious, but it was loud, and since we were seated across the bar from each other, we needed to shout a bit. Around this time, we noticed the table we'd been forced to vacate was STILL EMPTY -- 20 minutes after being booted from it. The table right next to it? Also empty. A few minutes later, we noticed he'd moved some girls who'd been at the bar since our arrival TO OUR TABLE. Obviously to make it look like the party that wanted it had shown up. So I took a pic of that with my phone. And a video of how many seats and tables were open. Nobody knew what I was doing, or cared, except Alex, who'd been spying on us. He comes back AGAIN, suddenly claiming our "BEHAVIOR" is a problem. Despite us trying to reason with him about what this experience was like for us as customers, he tells us to leave. I have been kicked out of two bars in my life. Once justifiably at age 22, and again on this day, age 60. All because of a manager on a power trip. We ended up going to Mezcal four miles away where the food and the service were exemplary, and we were welcomed! Lady Nomada? Lady, No-thank-you. You can't defend a policy like that, take a food and drink order right before the time limit, take our table and then harass us for not liking it. The bad - and this is insane, in my opinion - I was told (by the manager, it appears - guy with shaved head on the sides and back) that a salsa refill would be $5. A salsa refill. As in, the little cup of salsa that goes with the free chips. Have no fear, though, chip refills without salsa are free! I understand that restaurants are dealing with increased costs, but charging $5 for an extra small cup of salsa, especially when the entree is $24 (chicken fajitas) doesn't fly with me. $1? We enjoyed this establishment for our first visit. The ambience was enjoyable. Our server Meaghan M did a great job with her friendliness. We started off with two grande house margaritas that were delicious and helped to supply a really good vibe for the night. We also enjoyed the warm queso with chips that were also delicious. My wife enjoyed her chicken and steak combo fajitas with flour tortillas, rice and black beans. I enjoyed the duo. My Carne Asada was medium rare as requested, and came with rice and black beans, as well as a few other goodies. We were nice and full by the end of everything above and had to pass on dessert on this visit. We would love to come back for more in the future. I had high hopes for this place since it was recommended by my foodie friend. However, it was a disappointment. My waiter was truly fantastic and super kind and attentive. He was slammed but stopped by regularly and never rushed when at our table. The ambiance was cute and trendy. The queso and chips were tasty, but very runny (messy). But then everything else was downhill. Our little kids' meal came in a normal amount of time but we waited forever for the adult food. Our kids were long done while we waited. Then, the combo plate that's their specialty was inedible. Everything was way over salted, and I normally like salt. The carnitas I almost had to spit out since I felt like I was just eating straight salt. The enchilada wasn't quite as bad but I was gulping down water at a bite of each. The birria taco was the most reasonable but still super salted. I asked the kind waiter if he could replace the carnitas and enchilada with a less salted version but he said the carnitas was premade so couldn't be. We had been wanting to try this place for a while and we finally did last night! We went without a reservation. They told us it would be a 20min wait and to sit at the bar. They added us to a wait list with my name and phone number saying they would either text or swing by to let us know when our table was ready. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks. I got the painkiller and my husband ordered a corona. The host came and got us in less than 20minutes. The booth was large and very comfortable, with 2 pillows. The ambiance in general is very nice and welcoming. It is also not too loud which is unusual as most restaurants tend to be on the louder side! My husband has hearing issues but had no issues last night even though it was packed. It's comicable because we travel quite a bit to Cozumel to scuba dive and the limes are always dry. You can't squeeze a lick of juice out of them. We were not expecting that to be the case with this restaurant, but it was. Both corona's came with dried lime! No juice! We laughed! Funny, not funny. The painkiller drink was meh. It had a weird sugary coconut mix that gave it a bad aftertaste. The chips and salsa are five stars, but the sauce portion is tiny. We ordered the chips trio for $18. Those sauce portions were tiny as well. Thankfully, they do refill your chips and salsa and we received one refill. On the trio, the cheese and fire roasted salsa were meh, and the guacamole was good. We usually share fajitas so that's what we ordered. It was the tiniest chicken fajita plate I've ever seen for $24. Luckily I had filled up on chips and only ate 2 corn tortillas. We had to ask for more tortillas as they only give you 3 and they charged $1.50 for 3 more tortillas. The chicken and rice had no flavor. I mean zero. Not even salt. It was an odd experience overall. The staff were great - the bartender and our waiter! The ambience is nice! However, We will continue to enjoy shared fajitas at our regular Mexican joint that serves more food for less. Ok so I did come in here twice in one week and I'm glad I did. The first time in was a Tuesday and my assumption is that they may had scheduling issues and pulled a random employee to serve because he seemed inexperienced as a server. My order was keyed in wrong (no apology when I politely called him over to ensure we weren't charged wrong), never checked on us, very slow, didn't make eye contact, was awkward AF. I came back another time because the food was just THAT GOOD that I could overlook the service. The second time in was a Saturday evening so much busier. I didn't see our first server so I was relieved I wouldn't go through the same experience. Our server was fast. Service was great. Food was still great!! I got fajitas the first night. I was happily surprised by this restaurant! It is super cute and very trendy looking so I wasn't sure how the food would taste. But the food was delicious. The server gave us free chips and salsa to start. The salsa was a little spicy but super tasty and addicting. I got the chicken enchiladas and asked for half red sauce and half green sauce. I honestly couldn't tell you which sauce I preferred better. It came with beans and rice and was a large portion size. Service was prompt and friendly. We came upon Lady Nomada because we were looking for a place for dinner that was close to our hotel. We were lucky to snag the last table of 2, and it sounded like it would be a 40 min wait for larger groups! We were really impressed with the food- the house salsa was good, but we also added the trio with guacamole, queso, and roasted salsa. Holy crap the roasted salsa was hot! It was awesome. It's very different than the house salsa (much thicker, creamier)- I preferred it on our food over the chips. I also enjoyed the queso but felt the guacamole was a little lackluster. It tasted a bit plain. The chicken tinga taco comes with a cheese grilled tortilla, so that was my favorite! The birria enchilada was good but the red sauce tasted more like mole to us (it normally comes with green sauce). My husband really thought the rice and beans was good. The margarita flight was fun- the coconut one is frozen and tastes like pina colada. We also liked the spice hibiscus, and the regular was fine. I've enjoyed a good portion of their menu now and i do not have a favorite. However, i have to shout out the grilled fish taco. It's fresh, tasty and it comes in a good portion. Just sprinkle some lime juice on it - and it's good to go! Dinner on the other hand could use some improvement. I don't recommend getting fajitas here. The portions are tiny and they use the same corn tortillas as the tacos and only give you 3. Wouldn't that just make these steak tacos? The stake is tough and hard to cut. The small amount of fajita vegetables you get are charred to a crisp. Was in Denver and stayed at a nearby hotel. Front desk recommended this place. It was a short walk to where we stayed. First of, you are greeted with a warm welcome by their hostess. The place was packed, however, it wasn't long until we were seated. They start you off with some warm tortilla chips and delicious for your table. Those alone already made a good impression on me when it comes to their food. We ordered the street corn bowl for appetizer and it was delicious! We were even treated with a free Queso as part of our appetizer. 8/10 so far! Our host was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the combo platter with the Birria, Chicken, and Shrimp enchiladas. The plate was massive. The birria enchilada was a bit tough (the meat) but all else was good. This is an absolute yes for me. The food was SO good - I can't stop thinking about the salsa that was reminiscent of one of my favorite places from my hometown. The rice was weirdly/insanely good. Crispy carnitas and birria tacos were standout. There are so many things on the menu I want to try. Great drinks/cocktails, service was incredible which I didn't necessarily expect, figured they'd be working out the kinks since they just opened and were super busy but that wasn't the case. I want to give Lady Nomada 4.5 stars but there's no way to give half stars. The service here was excellent! The staff at the door were very friendly, good runners were nice, and our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. This was also very family friendly which I really appreciated. I loved my margarita, the Cali Caliente. It was so refreshing and tasty! We had the Baja Trio which came with salsa, queso, and guacamole. The salsa and guacamole were perfect. The pico on top of the queso changed the queso consistency to a little lumpy (like when you add something too cold to cheese and consistency changes). My 5 y/o is mostly spice adverse and they offered to bring her queso without the toppers. She was so excited (and I loved this offer without asking, I wouldn't have asked but said that'd be great when they did). My tacos were all perfectly cooked inside (shrimp, fish, pork). My daughter's food must have been ready first and then hung out for a minute before my food was up. Hers came out very dry. Both of our rice was overcooked. Hers was mushy and crispy. Her pork was also overdone. Overall tho, we loved our experience. We will definitely be back. The staff and food were great! It's really nice to see a new restaurant in the area. When we asked they said they were by request only but then we saw them bring automatically to other tables - it was my husband's birthday and I put it on the reservation but no acknowledgment was made by anyone - the waitress dropped my credit card in the restaurant and they couldn't find it. I totally understand this happening, it was an accident. We finally paid with another card and they found it later that night and called me. I still had to get a new card because it was out of my hands a few hours. I picked it up the next day. All flash and no substance. Lady Nomada's beautiful decor is a win, but everything goes downhill from there. We popped in on a Wednesday night when it wasn't too busy. Our server seemed truly uninterested in helping us and some of her answers were condescending ("of course it comes with beans and rice, it's right there on the menu"). Our food arrived sporadically; one entree showed up about 90 seconds after being ordered, and it hit our table about 8 minutes before the appetizer we ordered. Also, we ordered the 32-ounce "beer pitcher" from the happy hour menu. What arrived was indeed a 32-ounce pitcher, but it was about 2/3s of the way full. When we said something to our server, she responded with a dismissive, "well, it's a 32-ounce pitcher but they don't necessarily fill it all the way." Yes, really! She said that! OK, so the place is pretty but the service was lousy... I could forgive this if the food was good. It was an even bigger letdown. The happy hour chile rellenos were basically thick egg rolls with cheese and a hint of green chile inside. I could not cut them with the knife provided! The child's plate that arrived way too early was described to us as "not at all spicy." (If you have a preschooler, you'll know that they generally don't want anything spicy!) It was, however, surprisingly spicy. I liked the flavor well enough, but it's clear the server did not know much about the food. Then the enchiladas arrived; our party ordered one with red and green sauce and one with a poblano cream sauce. The red sauce was fine. The green sauce was flavorless. And the poblano cream was overwhelming and yet bland at the same time. (How is this even possible?) I scraped most of it off to get to the enchiladas themselves. But here, too, they were tough to cut and very chewy. One of mine didn't even have any cheese in it! I now know that it's possible to overcook an enchilada. What a bummer! read more

WOW. Just go somewhere else. There are MANY great Mexican restaurants (bougie or authentic) that have significantly better drinks, better food, better service, and cost significantly less than Lady Nomada. I wanted so badly to like this place; however, it was seriously the most disappointing meal I've had in 2026. 1. Atmostphere/vibe is great. Very intentional design... very Baja California-esque. 2. Service: It took us nearly 1.5 hours to have margs and tacos. Our waitress disappeared for the last 30 minutes of our meal and I ended up going to the bar and requesting our bill. Not sure if she just left but we seriously did not see her for 30+ minutes. 3. Food: Across our table we had 7 tacos. Mine were served cold and "sat in the window" while the one chef in the back was making everyone else's tacos. It sat for at 5+ minutes before it reached our table. I know this because it took less time for my 6-year old to use the restroom, wash her hands, play on the broken video game, and get back to our table. YET... the tacos were still there waiting on the other tacos to be made which took even longer. Tacos finally arrived cold, soggy, and just bad. My wife asked me how my Carnitas taco was and I straight up told her it was probably the worst carnita taco I've ever tried. She shared that she asked because hers was pretty poor. Hers was at least warm though so that's a plus. EVERY taco was mediocre at best. Birria (hard to mess up Birria...) was average and I'd be willing to say it would have been good if it wasn't WELL beyond soggy and luke warm at best. 4. Drinks: Classic Marg and Flora Passion. Classic was decent. The Flora Passion was what I would have made in college if I thought I was being fancy- syrupy and over sweetened. 5. Price: WTF. What are you thinking? This place is more expensive than places in the Highlands and half as good. 6. Overall: Seriously... You got Molino Chido nearby which is FAR superior and also cheaper... TGuard's CLOSED Los Chingones (R.I.P.) was better and cost less. Even if you want bougie Mexican there are countless better options at a far better price point. I've never been so disappointed by a meal in recent memory. I don't know why anyone would ever eat here. I loved working in restaurants back in my day and the number of things I saw that were just utterly wrong here is too much to mention. read more

Okay this is a hard one. We LOVED THE FOOD. However we had the worst service and it's hard to see past it. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated in a comfy booth. So far so good. He finally realizes he forgot us when he feels me glaring at him from across the room (believe me, I saw him react). So he brings us water and while he's there I say we are ready to order. He replies "I didn't want rush you" I've had time to memorize the menu at this point. So we order and point out that we never got chips and salsa. We had to remind him to bring us the thing that everyone else around us got? At this point, I'm thinking it's me? So then the food comes out and like I said, it was delicious! When he brings out the food, I ask him for salt because my husband is a very salty person and I knew he'd want it. This server QUESTIONED why I wanted salt. It took another 10 minutes to get him to bring it. Halfway through eating, my daughter ran out of water. I flagged down the super nice hostess, apologized and told her I knew it wasn't her job but could she please refill our waters and she did kindly. We finished our meal and he stood over us while I paid the check. It's such a bummer because we loved the food but we won't go to a restaurant with such poor service. read more

First time at this place. I'm giving it 5 stars and recommending you try it. I stopped in for lunch, sat at the bar and ordered the lunch special Birria Bowl $14 with a drink. My server was not only quick and conscientious, but seemed to genuinely care (which is rare at Denver restaurants) The design of the space is beautiful, well done with good taste, comfortable and not too loud.
