The installation was good but... 1. A remote control was placed between a light switch and the door. You need to turn on the light before you use the remote, preferably w/o scraping your knuckles. 2. A pile of trash was left behind. I forgave that since the three men worked hard for more than 8 hours. 3. After they did wiring in my attic, insulation started falling through the kitchen ceiling vent. I pointed it out and the installer vacuumed the vent from below. I said it would be better to blow it, but he said it would be fine. It continues to fall down thru the vent. 4. Old HVAC vents were blocked to keep the warm air in and cold air out, but they left a big one in the old HVAC closet. Also, they capped the gas pipe inside the closet, so there are two holes to the outside. I could have made the closet look finished if they had capped the pipe below the house. 5. The way they inserted the cable ducts through the foundation air vent was poor. Rodents can now enter. 6. Poor oversight and communication. I wanted easy things corrected that would take 20min. "Mark" promised someone would get back to me...they never did. I called/texted about 5 times. Finally he stopped responding.

They were the only one to schedule a time for their estimator to come in person within 1-2 days and really assess the situation and give me a thorough list of options. So already major points for responding promptly! My project was installing a ceiling fan on vaulted ceilings. I think I contacted them through their website contact form and got an email response directly me to call them to schedule a time for the estimator Nate. The women at the office were very helpful and able to help me easily. Nate arrived bright and early at 8am. He was very thorough in discussing possible options with me. He even went up into the attic. When I mentioned we recently moved in and am not very familiar with the house yet he was incredibly helpful asking if I have any additional electrician questions! That's really going above and beyond! Value wise they are very competitive! The other quote I got was $500 and $700 depending on if there was an existing fan that's simply replaced or an all new install. Vine beat both of those quotes and even have a 5% off summer promo of the estimate if approved same day. I called back with a request to change some details on the installation. The office was able to get the message to Nate and he called me back within the hour. We finalized the quote and work was scheduled early the next week! Lindoro came to do the installation. He arrived promptly and was very polite. Very clean laying down butcher paper. He was also very thorough in confirming details of the installation. Great guy! Nate and Lindoro really made the experience as smooth as possible. Vine is definitely on my short list of electricians to contact for a quote the next time I have a project. I said what if I want nothing replaced, repaired, He said it would still be $350. Hmmmm. He also said I should replace all the outlets which I had planned on doing. He insisted that all the footage in the house be counted even tho I told him that 550' were newer and could they be deducted. No, the replacement would be $4850. I paid the $350. The other person Don with DJ3 and I spoke last night. He said he could replace 22 outlets in 2 hours and he would charge $580. That wasn't a difficult decision. But as the 2 hour mark came, he had replaced 7 of them, I told him I would pay him more because I could see this would take much more time than he thought. He insisted that we stay with his price. He was so careful and explained any deviation, like not putting a GFCI beyind the fridge as that's CA law, etc. He used a leveler for every frame, I've actually never seen an electrician do that. He was tremendous. I'd give him 8 stars. He was here almost 7.5 hours! Such a conscientious, honest person and his pricing can't be beat.
