Quiet aria besides the freeway but other than that super quiet every one is so nice. Pool, jacuzzi,laundry rooms, playground, basketball ball court is super clean. Beautiful fruit garden. We enjoy our afternoon walks it's like a nature walk. With all that said we recommend anyone who is looking for a studio,1 bedroom,2 bedroom,3 bedrooms. It also comes with a clean garage. I'll give the apartment a 2 stars since the customer service was awesome everyone at the office was nice and helpful. The only Complain I have for this apartment was I did not got approved for a 1 bedroom $1930 since I am self employed and just starting my own business ( Manager Miriam still said I wasn't Qualified for 1 bedroom apartment. ) Even though I submitted All the documents that they needs and wants to prove that I am capable to make the payments My income was $6-8K a months however I still did not got approved Miriam said my bank settlements still does not shows Each month that was the same income that I have to make at least ( $1930 x 2.8 = $5404 ) Hello my incomes is $5,500- $8,500 she's did not even Bothered to ask me if I would like to have someone co- sign for me or any way she's can help me with. The reason why I choose these apartments was less traffic and The price was good. Anyways, everything turned out Way better in my ends more then expected God is Good. So I went over there with a Section 8 Valcher ... let me also say I'm a Disabled homeless vet ... and no I never did drug or have a criminal background. The Manager was ok ... I got caught up with a bait and switch ... I was lead to believe that I was only one of 3 people who was applying for the place ... all I had to do was pay the background ... but then when the lady told me that there have been many people that applied for this place with a section 8 Valcher ... but none have ever been approved ... and I would be the first to get approved ... then thy found a bill that my ex wife had made and told me that disqualifies me ... agin I'm a homeless vet I have a 659 credit score ... but what it sounds like is that thy look for something to disqualify me cuz of the section 8 ... thy don't respect Vets ... when I went to Iraq thy didn't ask me for my Credit score ... I spent 3 years in Iraq and this is how thy replay me thanks for nothing read more

Bradbury Park Apartments in Duarte is the best apartment complex my wife and I have ever come across. Miriam, General Manager was extremely professional from the beginning to the end of our almost three-year stay. Aside from it being a safe gated complex, the place was very well maintained. Ricardo and Jose were very friendly and helpful at all times. Any maintenance requests were dealt with in a timely and professional manner. Miriam keeps all residents fully informed with monthly newsletters. She creates a sense of community by organizing various social and kid friendly events each and every month. Although the apartments are very close to the freeway, we were able to enjoy a very quiet ambiance. We took full advantage of the many apartment amenities, including on site laundry, a pool, jacuzzi, basketball court, fruit orchards, walking and bike trails, and easy access to the new gold line. We highly recommend this complex, however we believe that management and staff made the difference. read more

Miriam is so unreliable. Ive lived for only 6 months and my lights have gone out, leaking from the cieling bathroom, fridge not working, and I call miriam EVERYTIME and she never answers and when she does she says she'll send someone and nobody ever comes and i call her again and no answer. Luckily the other manager Anita is always very alert and has responded very quickly and even comes herself to check it out first. Also many times nobody is ever there during office hours. I wish we could have pets :( read more

Had an appointment to see this apartment in Duarte. The walk through was quite an experience. The leasing agent, Aleta Olivo, did an exceptional job of explaining all the amenities this property has to offer. She answered all of our questions and I felt at ease. parking for guest isnt an option. there are only 4 spots and have a 4 hour limit. exceed that limit and get towed. how do residents have friends or family visit? guests only other options are to park across the street (get towed there too) or park a few blocks away. management is super rude and unwilling to accommodate. do not go here unless you wanna pay $350+ for the tow after being parked for a few hours. read more

I love this place it was everything i wanted , however when i arrived to the place they asked me for my id which made no sense to me. Well i checked my credit report and someone did a tenant screening with out knowing which they need my consent!!!! And when i contacted the manager she said no...as soon as i said its against the law and violates my financial privacy she went on to tell me oh yeah we nee your consent sorry about that!!!!! read more

I have lived in many apartments and although the apartments and the community is great. The main reason why I gave only 1 star was because of my disappointing experience upon my leave. The management made utterly unnecessary charges to my deposit. I was charged for paint, "general cleaning", extra rent (still trying to figure this out), and carpet cleaning. You know what, I can still give it to them for paint and carpet cleaning, but "general cleaning" !???? I am a super clean person and whenever I move out of apartments I always get my entire deposit back. If I knew they were going to charge me regardless of how I well I cleaned the apartment, then I would not have wasted my time cleaning it. I have never been charged for cleaning. This was an unnecessary charge. When I tried to get in touch with them about these matters, no one returned my calls or addressed my issues. I moved here because there aren't many choices in Duarte, but this was ridiculous. I will say that my stay was fine, but apartment managers should be responsible for fair charges, since tenants trust them with large deposits. Good apartment managements address your concerns !!!! They don't leave you hanging expecting you to give up on deposit. I usually never write reviews, but I cannot just hold back this time from the experience I have had. Please proceed with caution (I am not some disgruntled tenant). I am a very patient and compliant person, but sometimes you just have to stand up. read more

I was very excited to come see this apartment community. I tried calling many times to make an appointment but nobody ever picked up so I decided to go to the leasing office in person. After a 50min drive from LA I finally got there and found the leasing office was closed. I decided to wait a little until someone finally came in and open. Mariam wasn't accommodating at all! She had some other showing before me and I was ok with waiting but then some maintenance guy came in earlier than scheduled and Mariam told me she couldn't make him wait so she wasn't going to be able to show me the apartment unless I wanted to come back later. Not even after I explained that I was coming from far away... I guess we don't need to live in a place were customer service is not a priority. read more

We looked all over for a complex that was clean, we'll maintained, safe, affordable, central AC etc. of all the places we looked this was the best in the area. Also the manger, Mariam, is incredible. She really looks after the tenants. During our first month there was a office error on our contract, she went out of her way to fix it and got us movie tickets as a "thank you for being understanding". ...when we moved in there was a welcome basket of "essentials! My Name is Lulseged Demeke. I lived in about three apartments and I found out the apartment of Bradbury park and the community is great. However, the management is the worest in the world. I lived in this apartment for more than four year, of all that year no one came to see the inside of the apartment and give the necessary cleaning. Then all of a suden they send a letter saying they increaded 135usd which is 10% in the rent. The reason for the increase is due to the cost increase. To control the cost increase they increase the rent. What management is this. Instead of increasing this much, the first measure should be reducing their cost like having the manager only three days and reducing unnecessary headcount. Not only that, when you decide to go out you will see them how they treat you. I went to hand over the appartment and asked her to see the inside how we keept it, but she said she doesn't have time. However, she (Mariam) made utterly unnecessary charges to my deposit. I was charged for paint, "general cleaning", and carpet cleaning. We keept the apartment very clean. It seems they expect new carpet (They did not even rent us like that). We also cleaned when we moved out of apartments. I always get my entire deposit back., but in this management, what can I say. If I knew they were going to charge me regardless of how I well I cleaned the apartment, then I would not have wasted my time leaving there. I have never been charged for cleaning. The rent is too expensive. My air conditioning went out in the middle of summer. The water also went out 4 different times in 1 year. Also, parking and traffic is terrible. Not worth the money. I paid the rent by the 5th 2 times and they reported to credit agency late rent payments. Worst mistake ever moving there. read more

I lived at Bradbury Park Apartment. I must say...everything was great. Everyone in the office always provided first-class service and was very friendly. The community is very peaceful and extremely clean. Their office personnel (I mainly dealt with Marian and Candy) were always ready to help -Every single time I left a message with any issue..they returned my calls in reasonable time. Living there was great for me and my family. Their maintenance personnel (Jose & Fernando) were just as great -any issue I had, they were attentive and ready to offer solutions. I loved seeing them in that little golf-cart...reminded me of the Pope-Mobile in the streets of the Vatican...LOL!!!! I will surely continue to recommend this location to friends and family, as I was already done. Great Job guys and wish you the best!! read more

Feel so awkward and ashamed through the negotiation with the leasing office, strong feeling of being dissed/discriminated by them, as international students. At the very beginning, the deposit was 500 bucks. Without any salary requirement notice, we merely followed the online application process and submitted around 2-time of monthly rent income bank statement things, because we were not willing to disclose too much about our private stuff. Then we were denied. Well, they need 3-time of rent income certificate. We explained that, we marked that I am in my probation with probation period salary and both we two still keep family support in the application form, and we have sufficient proof. In the phone call, the leasing office always impatiently replied that, it may help, you can try, Until I raised that we can do six months prepay, which could be used as the last 6 months. At once, she changed her attitude and the way to talk, she used 'definitely' with excited tone. Few hours later, they called back and informed us, if we do 5 months prepay, 3 for last 3 months rent and 2 for deposit, we can have the apartment at once. Which means the deposit was rose from 500 bucks to nearly 4000 bucks. We feel SO SICK, not for the money, actually, we can do whole year rent today, BUT for the way we were be treated. And I am Curious, after one year, whether the leasing office would return the deposit to us, and how much? 1k for carpet, 1k for celling, 1k for A/C, 1K for the walls? Should we add extra fee for they kindly gave us the chance to move into their house? No, thanks. We appreciate the lesson they gave to us. read more

My husband and I lived here for about 2.5 years and were content with the majority of our stay. Pros: 1) Clean and well-maintained grounds - the maintenance workers did a great job keeping everything nice and tidy. No loose trash everywhere, trash bins were emptied immediately, leaves were always picked up, paint lines were filled if they were starting to fade, pools were always clean and ready to swim, laundry units were neat, and so on. Kudos on that crew. 2) The manager, Miriam, was wonderful. She really took care of us and made sure we were settling in with everything. Our first day, she let us take some air fresheners back to our unit in case it still smelled like new paint. She's very easy to talk to and very reasonable. She takes the time to get to know everyone on the complex. Not kidding - she knows every single person by first name - and their children. She's become a friend, even. So I recommend speaking with her if you're interested. 3) Quiet - other than the occasional morning and evening rush hour on the weeknights, the area was relatively quiet considering it's right next to the freeway and on Huntington Dr. It's almost a little eerie after 8PM, which I'm a fan of so I giving this a pro. 4) Friendly people all around: the managers, the maintenance crew, the tenants - everyone is so friendly here. 5) Central to most things - costco, target, walmart, best buy, food and dining, bike/hiking trails, etc. 6) Family friendly - there's a basketball court, a little playground area and a swimming pool, all perfect for families. They even have events every month to get the community together like pizza parties, movie nights, holiday celebrations - all free! You just have to show up. I could go on and on about the pros, but those are the ones that stuck out. Cons: 1) Rent - I think that's going to be a con anywhere you go these days. These apartments are on the little high side but I can understand why. I mean you can't live in a decent apartment without some sort of trade-off right? The rent isn't completely absurd but we were close to moving out when our rent was raised. 2) Parking - this was a common complaint among the tenants. The guest parking here is shit. There's only 10 guest parking spots available to EVERYONE in the complex and they're not even inside. They are located at the very front of the apartments, outside of the gate. It was hard to get our families to visit us because you couldn't find any parking spots for them, and if they did visit, we had to play musical parking all day just so we can accommodate them. OR they had to resort to parking at the Fresh N' Easy parking lot, which is across the street and then they had to walk all the way to our unit. It was ridiculous. Also, I can't say those 10 guest parking spots were even for guests - most of them were taken from actual tenants who had multiple cars and didn't want to pay for an extra space per month. There was an auction for a parking spot, starting at $250 per month...=O Yeah, forget that. 3) Availability - this is meant for the front office. I know the front office gets a little busy at times but when you need something done and need to talk to them, they're not always there. They're usually on lunch break or showing a future resident the model apartment. But I would say that it's a 50/50 shot when you go up to the front office and it either says opened or close. It was a little annoying and I'm hoping they would better that somehow. And the phone system needs work too. No one ever picks up my calls when I have to inquire about something. 4) Someone has already mentioned their experience upon leaving - and I agree. I thought it was a little dumb that I had to give up $75 of my deposit to get the carpet cleaned professionally and an additional charge for "general cleaning." Like, it wasn't even arguable - it was a requirement. So I thought that was low - only got 2/3 of my deposit back. Overall, if I had to, I would come back and live here again. read more

I have been a homeowner for 12 years, but decided earlier this year to downsize to save some money. The thought of moving to an apartment actually made me nervous, but once I met Office manager "Miriam", all doubts were removed. The grounds are beautiful and I feel VERY safe and secure (more so than when I live in a house). But the best part is the community feel of the place. EVERYONE I've met is so friendly and ready to help (either with questions or even groceries sometimes). Also the month activities really help foster a "Family" environment. I have had a couple of minor "fix-it" issues and they have all be taken care of the same day (The Maintenance department is helpful AND cheerful at all times...like they REALLY enjoy helping people. The unit it LARGE and ROOMY, almost feel like a condo, instead of a an apartment. If you need a safe, clean, beautiful place to live...this is the place for you. I guarantee it!! read more
