    Chic's spectacular setting!

As you drive the rugged north shore of West Maui, one of the best surprises is Braddah Chic's. Super cool guy serving locally sourced shrimp, burgers, hot dogs, smoothies, etc. Flavor-packed smoothies. The shell-on shrimp was ultra fresh and perfectly seasoned. The beef was Maui-grazed with a soft richness missing in so much mainland meat. Even the Maui Dog was delicious. Fries, too. A fabulous find, so out of the way. Cash only, but reasonably priced. We paid $33 for one smoothie and 3 items, fries included.

Shrimp, corn and very good fries!

We almost died getting here when multiple cars came at us on a single lane road and no one could pass each other. But the shrimp are amazing, as is the pina colada shake. Skip the burger, and bring cash. And please, drive slowly and be prepared to go in reverse to allow other cars to get by.

Found this place at the perfect time! My boyfriend and I had been driving for a while, were extremely thirsty, and needed a break from the winding roads of Maui. Not only was this probably the best mango smoothie I have had (or will ever have) in my life, but the scenery around the stand couldn't have been more picture perfect. Braddah Chic's is located pretty much over a cliff giving you full views of where the ocean meets the shoreline on that side of the island. The worker was friendly and welcoming, really making this a perfect stop when one is in need of a cold, refreshing smoothie on those hot Maui days. They have food and snacks too if you need to really refuel on the road!

Oh yeah! I hadn't been here in years, and the last time he was in that bus. This time he's got a new trailer set up, but the food is just as good as I remember. Now, don't be fooled by the map. He's nowhere near the real Wailuku, which is down in central Maui. The only way to Braddah Chic's is along the winding, harrowing northern route around the West Maui Mountains. He's about 5 miles (15-20 minutes) east of the Nakalele Blowhole, just above a tiny little town near Kahakuloa Bay. Understand that this is like a mini "Road to Hana", with one-lane roads, blind corners, and the possibility of backing up along cliff edges to let other's through. If you find yourself at Braddah Chic's it's most likely because you decided to explore the furthest reaches of Maui. That's a shame, because I'd love to drive there regularly for the ono grindz. The hot dog was pretty good, the burger was even better, but the shrimp plate was amazing. Then there's the smoothies, made fresh and with no dairy, that really hit the spot. So, please... head out there. Explore. Even if not to see the sights of the Kahekili Highway, then at least to bring this excellent food truck more business. Mahalo and Aloha, Braddah Chic!

Made a pit stop here after hiking the Waihe'e Ridge Trail and it was 10000% worth it. The mango-passonfruit smoothie was so refreshing and absolutely delicious. We also got the shrimp plate which was equally impressive. Fresh shrimp with an extremely flavorful sauce on top. The icing on the cake is the view that you get to enjoy your food/drink with. Right on the cliff side offering great views just about any way you look. Highly recommend.

Absolutely a must stop. Super friendly. Amazing smoothies. Beautiful view. We can't wait to return!

Chic's a super cool guy with some awesome food. We stumbled upon his truck while randomly driving around the north side of the island and taking in all the amazing views. He's got a nice spot right at the top of a cliff with really sweet view of the water and mountainside. We had the shrimp plate and fries and everything was great. Shrimp had really unique seasoning and flavor. Seating is just behind his truck in the shade with a nice breeze. No bothersome bugs either. Highly recommend driving along that highway for the views and stopping at Chic's for great food. And like so many Hawaiians, he recycles.

I came here and got a guava smoothie (and girlfriend got the mango smoothie) after a long day of being in the sun. We came from Kihei and went to the dragon teeth lava formations, the blowhole, and the olivine pools - we were exhausted, sun burnt, and ready to go home. But we still had a hike to do.... so, on our way to the hike we saw the tiny little trailer that Braddah Chic's was in and saw a sign for smoothies and went for it. It was the perfect decision. The smoothies were delicious and the view from the food truck was amazing. We enjoyed our smoothies overlooking the ocean and then headed on our way but after these, we were refreshed and re-energized. It was the perfect thing after spending too long in the sun!!

We have been coming to Hawaii for years! Every time we come and drive around the West Maui Mountains we stop at Bruddah Chic's! He has great home made burgers, hot dogs, shakes, and smoothies. You can also enjoy the great view of the town below! I highly recommend stopping by. He is a great guy and has a lovely daughter too! Aloha!

Everything is a la carte so if you want fries, just know they do not come with the burger. Everything was delicious. The Smash Burger was perfectly cooked, seasoned wonderfully, and so juicy! The burger also had some spice to it! It had some pickled jalapenos on it and they added the perfect heat. I loved it. The garlic fries were perfectly fried and crispy and had a great garlic flavor and kick. I will definitely come back here on my next visit to island.

Cupies always holds a special place in my heart. I've been coming here since I was little. Whenever my dad and my sister and I were in town growing up in the 90's, it was either stopping here at Cupies or the Dairy Queen nearby (which has since closed) for a yummy treat! They used to have a couple Arcade Games (with Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat) and had every childhood favorite: the tower of coin operated prizes! Of course the FOOD was what got us coming back for more! I'd always get a Bento with hot dog, spam, chicken and rice OR the BEST hamburger and crinkle fries with Mustard/Ketchup container! The hamburger and fries combo is still my usual go to. Today I went for the special drink, a refreshing Calamansi Slushie. Calamansi is a little Filipino lime. Perfect balance of tart and sweet for this hot Maui day. I decided to get the Mini Hamburger Steak today. Plate lunches come with the option of Macaroni Salad or Corn for the side so I opted for the buttery Corn. I added Sautéed Onion and Mushroom to the Hamburger Steak and it was "broke da mouth" Ono! The Mini Plate comes with 2 hamburger patties so guessing a Regular Plate is 3-4 patties. Make sure you treat yourself to a delicious Sweet Crepe! My favorite is the Banana and we always add Nutella. If you're not feeling a Crepe, you need to get a delicious Shake! The flavors are endless: Ube, Pandan, Fruity Pebbles, or Cinnamon Toast Crunch! Dine in outside or call in an order and park on the far side wall and someone will bring out your order. I'll usually call in to hear their Specials of the Day.

We've been coming here for years and I've always enjoyed my experiences here, but last night I had a dish that compelled me to write a review. The oxtail soup which is listed as a favorite is a dish I've been eyeing for a while, but it's usually been too warm for me to crave it. But last night was the night. I'm getting over a cold and it's been raining off and on for weeks. The bowl arrived at the table with a plate underneath - smart move because it takes some work to eat oxtail soup. Armed with my fork and spoon, I went at it. The first taste floored me. It was perfectly seasoned and I could taste the fresh ginger, the broth was a beautiful brown color, there was plenty of napa cabbage and it came with a dish of a scoop of glossy steamed rice and steamed carrots, zucchini and broccoli. Our waitress offered to bring over condiments so I went for the soy sauce - sprinkled on the rice and veggies, I noticed that the veggies might have had a little sesame oil flavor on them so that made me happy. A spoonful of rice dunked into the broth with some of the tender fall of the bone oxtail meat, and a little crunch of the napa cabbage and I was in absolute heaven. I tasted my husband's pork adobo and that was equally as delicious as always. But that soup - that's what really did it for me last night and stays with me today. I walked out of Tante's with a swollen and happy belly and a fresh, tiny piece of ginger stuck between my teeth...a treat for later.
