I'm back home in Cali but had to look this spot up to leave a review! Road to Hana of course and I made a point to try all the banana breads I could get my hands on. But first - iced coffee was the reason for the stop. Much needed after a long flight and a drive straight to Hana. Very good but the banana bread..... I may cause an uproar here and that's ok. Come for me! But this was the best bread I sampled. Moist and flavorful! Spices were perfect and tasted lots of banana. Better than Aunty's. I said it. Delicious. Prove me wrong. Aunty's is good too...just liked this one better. Some breads were dry...some too much butter...some lacking spices...this one was perfect. I purchased about 5 breads out there for comparison. I used to run my own small bakery as well so there's that. Stop in grab a loaf and compare them all for yourself! Wish I had tried the curry after reading these reviews. Just be careful with traffic if you're backing out. A bit of a blind turn around the corner. read more

Super cute roadside stop with banana bread & delicious smoothies! Friendly and quick service. There is a bathroom (port-a-potty) for paying customers and a seating area covered. One of the few bathrooms on this long drive to and from Hāna. They also had adorable local made stickers and magnets we got as souvenirs. The little ducklings and chicks wandering around were also a highlight. read more

Nice little spot along the road to Hana. We stopped by for a smoothie and some food. We had the island curry and a taro burger. Both were good. The smoothie was ok, could have been a bit more sweet in my opinion. We also bought a star fruit to try, it was pretty sweet. He said he grows them in his backyard. Free wifi available and a porter potty toilet. Nice spot to take a break, use the restroom and refuel. read more

Food was great and it was a nice little food truck. It was on the way of road to Hana. Service was good. The curry was very good and tasty.

After passing the town of Paia along the Road to Hāna, the majority of food and beverages are from food trucks. About a third of the way you'll see Maui Garden Grove Café on the left side. It is one of the first stops available. They offer a clean port-o-potty for customers but also several drink and food items. Unfortunately the barista wasn't very friendly or interested in answering our questions regarding a particular trail up ahead. Either way, we ordered banana bread that claimed to be "the best" like every other street side stand. The banana bread was sadly dry--wait until Hāna Roadside Farms which I deem has the freshest and best banana bread on the island. We also had coffee but no espresso. I went with an iced cafe au lait with macadamia milk. It was sadly watered down before any of the ice melted. Directly after this stand appear the Eucalyptus Rainbow Trees, followed by Haipua'ena Falls. read more

Adorable little cafe right off the Road to Hana. We had the Vegetable Curry and it was DELICIOUS! The coconut cornbread was also fantastic. They had wifi, a cute seating area, and the service was great. Will definitely stop again of given the chance. read more

Highly recommend stopping here for a drink or snack! Yes, it's pricey but you are in HAWAII so just be happy. The drinks taste amazing, I felt at least 5 layers of flavor on my tongue. They do have a honey bucket but don't be saddened. This is no typical honey bucket. This is luxury bucket. I can really tell that they take great care of keeping it clean and part of that effort is having it slightly hidden and for customers only. Also, to the man that was working the truck, I saw you resting and massaging your own back. Sir, I feel you. I quit Starbucks becuase my back hurt too bad and it's not like I can rest my cheeks on the counter when talking to a customer or barista-ing. Amazing stop for your taste buds on the Road to Hana! Service was quick and friendly. Tried both the Island Curry and the Island Chili - both delicious. Got banana bread and a smoothie too. I always make sure to stop here on my road to Hana. It's a great atmosphere and the smoothies, coffee, and chili are delicious. Also the banana bread!! Took a stroll to Garden Grove Cafe in on Hana highway just before the Bamboo forest. We have been hearing good things about this place for a while now and finally just found some time to pay a visit. So very worth the drive and time. That curry was fantastic. Best yellow curry I've had on the island. It was perfectly savory with sweet chunks of lightly stewed pineapple and the veggies were perfectly cooked. The Chili was delicious too but I was so impressed by the curry I ordered and ate two bowls. The banana bread was moist and pillowy. I loved the sweet and tart balance of the pineapple lemonade. The atmosphere was warm, family friendly and inviting. We were greeted and served by the sweetest people. They were very friendly and accomodating. I loved the multitude of different trees and plants on the property in combination with the lovely hand painted flower mural on the trailer. I felt really at home here and loved everything about this place. P.S. Stopped by to grab a drink before embarking on the rest of the Road to Hana. The drinks were pricy, but that's what you get on the Road to Hana. We ended up going for just the Mango Lemonade ($5). While small, it actually lasted us the rest of the way and tasted pretty good. The drawback here is that they ran out of straws so the cup was open and loose throughout the journey. Thankfully, nothing spilled. They also have some chickens roaming around and a limited selection of nice magnets/souvenirs to buy - the ambiance is nice to just get out and stretch your legs before the real journey begins. read more

Great pitstop on the way to Hana! We got the island curry, a smoothie, and a banana bread. Everything was delicious and the customer service was excellent! Lots of great information listed and there's a also a list of recommended stops for the road to Hana. They also had a selection of locally made goods for sale, like bug spray & coconut bacon. I really enjoyed all of the gorgeous painted flowers on the food truck and the relaxing music. Would definitely recommend giving this place a visit! read more

We stopped here for the mud slide coffee beverage (with coconut ice cream) and it was great. Then I decided to get a bowl of the island chili & it was SO GOOD! So glad I got some. I wish I got another bowl for later or tried the curry. Highly recommend! read more

The food is sooooo ONO!!! My favourite is the Island curry but the chilli is also a close second. The service is fast and friendly. The sitting areas both shade and sun have a nice Hawaiian vibe with ambiance and music playing. Mudslide was such a treat coffee but the smoothies are a real treat too (I like caffeine and hubby doesn't so I got to try both) Their location is perfect for a quick break for the kids or to stretch your legs. On the way back it's nice to stop again, use the washroom and a quick snack - the banana bread was warm and wasn't dry at all. The free wifi was nice to quickly make dinner reservations that I forgot to do! Highly recommend stopping here!! read more
