Nine years ago we moved to Littleton from a state where great BBQ restaurants are in abundance, so finding a great bbq place was important to us, but after trying no less than a dozen places, we were sorely disappointed UNTIL we tried Brad's Pit BBQ. I tried the baby back ribs today, and I think they were even better than the St. Louis. Even though they were baby backs, they were nice and meaty. As other people have mentioned, the pork wing is great. I tried the spicy coleslaw. It's very vinegar-y. I'd only recommend it for Eastern North Carolina bbq lovers to put on a pulled pork sandwich. Looking for crab, found a kicking BBQ! My wife and I were thinking crab but she found Brad's on Yelp. This is mostly a takeout joint but there is great brewery next door with an amazing symbiotic relationship. You order your bbq at the counter or online let Brad know where you are and he brings it to you. So you have awesome BBQ with great hand crafted beers. What a combo. We had the 2 meat combo with chopped brisket and pulled pork. The sauces had a slight tasty kick which I prefer. We went back a got a pound of chopped brisket to go. Brad was great to talk to. They catered our son's "rehearsal" dinner at a park the night before the wedding. They catered for 75 people and we still had extra to bring home. Everybody loved the food. Pretty solid BBQ. Pulled pork not as good as the last time I visited. Texture was great but had somewhat of an odd(gamey?) after taste. Ribs were amazing. Great texture and flavor. A bit on the salty side but would rate them near the top for ribs. Their sweet BBQ sauce is excellent. Got a pint to go. Good potato salad. Steak fries were just kind of average. Their portions on the sides to go are very skimpy. More like a sampling than a side order. Their homemade cookies are a must. Get one of these to go! read more

Solid BBQ, which is very difficult to find in Denver! I had a bunch of family in town, so I grabbed two racks of ribs, several pounds of chopped brisket, and a quart of beans. All were fantastic - the ribs had great flavor and the fat was rendered from them nicely, so it was easy for me to dive in and clean the bones off. I'm picky about fat on my BBQ! The brisket was wonderful as well, and pairs nicely with the BBQ sauce. Sauce, however, is not required for either the brisket or the ribs, but I like to slather the meat with sauce from time to time. And I hate BBQ beans. I absolutely hate them - they all taste terrible. The beans from Brad's are -awesome-! They even have corn in them, and that rugs at my heart strings. Don't leave Brad's unless you try the beans! OMG the reviews are correct!!! This place is hands down phenomenal and so so so tasty!!! We absolutely loved the pulled pork, beef brisket, Mac bites, and the beans...dear lord I am craving those darn beans! So good We didn't love the spicy coleslaw or potato salad, but the meat Mac bites and beans were so freaking good it deserves 10 stars! How often does one have to walk in to a trailer, yes a trailer, to get their lunch. This is not a fancy food truck, but a trailer with a smoker sitting right next to it. Brad has an array of smoked meats from pulled pork, brisket, sausage and pork ribs that look like meat lollipops. All comes with either beans, slaw or potato salad After selecting the pulled pork with potato salad my group and I went out to his little tent and enjoyed the feast. It was awesome and only $6! Too bad the scale only goes to 5 stars! This place is worth a lot more. The baked beans alone would have kept me coming back. It's so meaty that it's not a "side" to anything. We got the 3 meats with 2 sides for $12.50. Got the brisket, pork and spicy sausage, potato salad and of course the beans. The hot BBQ sauce isn't so hot, but has a little kick to it. Perfect for just about anything down to the napkins. It's one of those places that make you think, why would I ever try to make this at home??? He used to sell his BBQ out of his trailer but now he has a restaurant. It's not much to look at. Must say that it's even a tad intimidating from the outside. The boarded up old gas station has a "NOW OPEN" sign that gives away to the fact that there is a sign of life inside the place. I would suggest a little festive western music inside though. The place looks like something out of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives except Guy F. hasn't found it yet. MUST GO! and must get the beans! We will be back for sure. read more

I was intrested in this place. I love bbq and this place was staring at me from work for weeks. So I gave in and try. The gentleman running the place were kind and I realized I had arrived shortly before closing time on a rainy pooring fathers day but they were still pleasant and happy to assist me. I tried 3 meats and two sides. The meats were yummy and not dried out. The brisket had a good flavor and so did the sausage but I enjoyed the pork the most. I thought the beans were delicious had more going on than other baked beans I've had. Always a big fan of fried zucchini, cant go wrong there. Unfortunately I didnt get to try the bbq sauce which was my mistake so gives me an excuse to return, and try some other meats and sides. Can't believe I haven't written this review yet! I'm really slacking. We're so happy to have Brad's Ole BBQ Smoke Wagon in our neighborhood frequently. The prices are really reasonable for the generous portions. You can't go wrong with any of the meats. And if you're not a vegetarian, you can't help but love Brad's Special Beans--we compete to see who gets the biggest hunk of meat when we order! The Potato Salad is also creamy and delicious. So I hadn't tried the fries, but had a chance to finish off a friend's the other day, and they are hot & fresh steak style. Really enjoy Brad's and appreciate having them in our neighborhood (outside the liquor store off Pierce and Coal Mine almost every Sunday). They give our Sunday steak-night tradition a run for its money! We ordered two racks of ribs, coleslaw and beans the other night. Ribs are smoked with dry rub - a must for rib purists - but their sauce options are great. I thought their ribs had a little too much dry rub for my preference - but they were fall off the bone perfect. The sides were classic good - the beans were amazing. This place is an actual hole in the wall restaurant. Owned and operated by the friendliest and kindest Texas raised Chef, this BBQ is the best I have had in Denver. I always gravitate to his ribs with the Mac and cheese bites and potato salad as my sides. My boyfriend and I will use Brad's Pit as our weekly cheat meal because we love it so much! Brad and Tina were fantastic. I see why Brad has won so many awards for his cuisine. This was the first time my wife and I have tried the BBQ. I have seen the food truck around the neighborhood (Pierce/Coalmine) but have never stopped in. What a mistake. So I had the two meats and sides and my wife had just one. We both had the Brisket and I had the pulled pork. Both were moist and juicy. The brisket was chopped but you could taste and see the smoke. Done perfect in the smoker. The pork was a little sweet and salty just the way it should be! Fantastic. But the best part was the beans. Just like what everybody said In the reviews I read. Chunks of beef flavored a mixture of black/red kidney and pinto beans with a rich bbq sauce. Worth the wait any day. Then mix it with the great beer at the bar, you can't go wrong with this neighborhood staple. Glad to hear they are moving into the restaurant adjacent to where they are now. We were very disappointed! The reviews on Yelp don't reflect our experience. The restaurant was dirty and the BBQ was poor quality. The staff was unfriendly. The only place to set was outside. The pulled pork wasn't pulled but chopped. Sauce had a ton of liquid smoke in it. My son said" mom their sauce tastes weird." It took me a few minutes to figure out the weird toast and it was definitely a lot of liquid smoke. My husband said this whole meal was terrible too. He got sick afterwards. Not kid friendly. It really is catering to the people next door who are drinking beer and decided they are hungry. Might be the worst BBQ we have tried in Denver. read more

Brad's Pit is worth finding! Not at the exact a address listed - find his truck at Wadsworth & Waterton near Lockheed weekdays. We called based on Yelp reviews and Brad directed us there. We got the 3 meat/2 sides plate to sample as much as we can. The brisket was our favorite. Ok, maybe the beans were. Get both! The brisket melted in your mouth and the beans were so full of flavor and added veggies - best ever. The pork wing was amazing too - turns out it's a pig forearm. A special cut.
