This morning we stopped in at Brad's Place for some breakfast and I have to say that we left with mixed reviews. When we first walked in the waiters were near the door and never said hello. Being new to the restaurant we were unsure if we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. After standing at the door awkwardly for a few minutes we sat down at a table which felt sticky. The menus placed on the table were worn down and dirty, and it took a while to get service. When the waiter made it to our table he took our order but was not personable in the slightest. When he eventually brought out our coffees he left them at the table, but didn't bring any milk or sugar. We eventually had to ask, and when the milk container showed up it was dirty, and parts of it were covered in mold. The silverware and coffee mugs were also really dirty. This was obviously extremely off putting, but when the food finally came it was delicious. We bought a "Belly Buster" meal as well as the sausage gravy meal. Both were delicious, and the pancakes and home fries were great as well. The prices were also phenomenal. In the end, we loved the food but were disgusted with the cleanliness of the store. This is definitely a "greasy spoon". We hope that the next time we go they have cleaned up a bit.

One of two or three places to eat in this town. Brad's place has been in the same locale as long as I can remember and it still looks as it did in the 80's. It's cramped and seating is pretty limited but, they have a regular stream of customers so they must be doing something right. I've eaten here on several occasions over the last three and a half decades. Good food on the cheap. I'd recommend it if you find yourself trapped in Greenfield. I'd also recommend it because there are not many other choices there unless you want breakfast from a chain like McDonald's or Friendly's.

Friendly quick service, simple place, straight forward food. Stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday, can't complain. If you like hot sauce, ask for their selection of local options (they have more than is on the table)

Reviewed by Frog E. Green, Local Insect Control Specialist…read more As a longtime resident of the landscaping district immediately outside Hope & Olive, I've sampled many dining establishments in the area. Most offer mediocre lighting, poor insect traffic, and zero ambiance. Hope & Olive, however, continues to set the gold standard for frog fine dining. I arrived yesterday evening and secured a prime outdoor window-side table (vertical seating available for amphibian guests). The view was excellent, featuring lush greenery, attentive human patrons, and a climate-controlled observation deck. The appetizer selection was promising. Several small flying items passed through the area, but I decided to hold out for something more substantial. Excellent decision. Approximately midway through service, an enormous grasshopper practically launched itself onto a decorative hanging orb provided by management. I was immediately impressed by Hope & Olive's commitment to fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The entrée did put up a bit of a struggle. However, after a brief period of strategic positioning, professional stalking, and one lightning-fast procurement maneuver, I was able to enjoy the entire grasshopper. Portions are very generous. In fact, the meal was nearly as long as I am. Service was outstanding. The nearby humans appeared fascinated by my dining experience and refrained from interrupting me while I consumed an insect roughly the size of a canoe. After dinner, comfortably stuffed, I retired to the interior of the decorative orb for what can only be described as a food coma. It served as an excellent after-dinner lounge. As for the human food, judging from the smiles, laughter, and complete lack of attempts to steal my grasshopper, it appeared to be quite good as well. Pros: Farm-to-frog dining Excellent grasshopper acquisition opportunities Beautiful garden views Comfortable post-meal napping accommodations Curious but respectful human audience Cons: Grasshopper only appears once per evening Difficult to fit into your mouth, but that's a "me" problem Would hop here again. There was a part of my brain that said hey just get the five dollar breakfast sandwich, but when I try a brunch place that's highly rated I am compelled to get the eggs Benedict. Because any brunch place worth their salt should have a really good eggs Benedict on the menu. Again, wow, I am so glad I ordered the eggs Benedict. This is the best eggs Benedict I have had in years. The hollandaise sauce was rich and smooth and absolutely delicious. They also gave me a choice of potatoes or salad, I took the potatoes because: breakfast potatoes! They were perfectly crispy and creamy. They also delivered a little pot of their house sauce, which was made of cilantro and mint, and a bunch of other things. I tend to avoid cilantro and mint foods. In the past, I have described eating cilantro as biting down on a piece of tinfoil, a sensation that says "run for your life!" overtime my reaction to cilantro has mellowed, and I don't really understand why. But? I ate every bit of that house sauce. I'm so glad I tried it, and tried it with the eggs, Benedict, because it added a perfect level acidity to cut through that richness, and really elevated the dish. The top it all off, the service could not have been more welcoming, efficient, friendly. What a wonderful place!

We both ordered the Hannah, which came with housemade sausage patties and hollandaise sauce. The hollandaise was rich, buttery, and absolutely delicious. Also give the chai latte a try!! I love when a spot supports local artists and community events. They have a bar inside, a small outdoor covered porch area, cozy little artist corner, and tables spread throughout the space that make it feel comfortable and inviting. All staff was helpful and working together to making the whole experience run smoothly. The playlist was a 10/10 too. Overall, this was such a fun breakfast spot, and we'd definitely come back!

We timed it and were about to leave, it took almost 20 minutes to even get our waters filled. Even with the place not very crowded. We watched as waitresses tended to people that came in after us and were about to leave when we got a wonderful, caring waitress Marina. She was spectacular, very nice and engaging. If it wasn't for her the entire experience would have been a bust. The Caesar salad was not a Caesar salad the dressing was bland. My wife had a burger that was not the medium rare she ordered and was sloppily put together. plus it was lacking bbq sauce even thought that was in the name of the burger. It looked like something you would get at a fast food place. I ordered the lobster ravioli and the lobster was tough and there was no flavor. With all these mishaps if it wasn't for marina I would be giving 1 star. she really made the disappointing evening much better. For what we paid we were left annoyed and rushing out. I hope they step up their game and give Marina the praise she deserves
