This place could have had a great potential if they hired the right chefs. My husband and I decided to try this out for the first time last night. I ordered the French onion soup. It came out with shredded cheese instead of the Gruyere cheese that is usually what's used melted all across the soup. The bread inside of the soup was horrible. I think they tried doing too much. We ordered the beet salad it was OK nothing special. We also ordered the lobster ravioli. It came out with a piping hot plates, but the food was very cold and the lobster tasted fishy. Overall this was a good experience. I was expecting slightly better brunch the poached egg could have been better. But we went the weekend of their first brunch and a perfectly cooked poached egg is very difficult. For a special occasion if you want to stay in Tulare it is an excellent option. We booked a 5:15 reservation on Open Table and were promptly seated when we arrived. The service for the rest of the evening continued to excel. Water glasses always full and well coordinated team service. The meals were also expertly crafted. The filet I ordered had a nice savory flavor and we medium rare perfection. One nitpick aside, they top their filet with a type of gravy. While delicious I'm admittedly a filet purist. The price may be a little high for this community but I hope they continue to be supported. I would give this place zero stars if I could. We had an absolutely terrible experience here. My cousin has severe food allergies, and despite informing the staff multiple times, they forgot to mention there were nuts in the rice. Had we known her fiancé wouldn't have ordered it. (Appetizer special). Really great flavor and nice summertime addition. Then we split the Beet Salad w/goat cheese and the Lamb Lollypops. The salad had a generous portion of beets and the dressing was spot on. I could have used a bit more goat cheese but it could be that I'm obsessed with goat cheese. I'll ask for more next time. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the had a really yummy crunchy coating. We decided on the Strawberry Fizz for our cocktail and it did not disappoint.
