I took my car in for an alignment, and Vic damaged the bottom of my car but pretended he did not know! When he drove my Mercedes up the ramp of the alignment machine, I heard some unusual noise but I didn't think much at the time. On my way home and the next day I kept hearing this scratching sound as I drove. I took the car back to him and he just acted like he didn't know what went on and it was not from the alignment, he even refused to check out the car. So I took the car to another mechanic and they quickly found there was a piece of insulation cover damaged under the car and it was dragging against the ground making that scratching noise. I instantly connected the dots and realized when Vic went up the ramp he went too fast, and that noise was the bottom of my car hitting the edge of the ramp which ripped off the cover. In the end they took a saw to cut off the hanging piece of the cover so it won't drag against the ground, you can see what it looks like now in the picture. Vic definitely knew what went on but he pretended he didn't or attempted to fix his mistake, he flees from the responsibility of his own mistake, those are not good signs of a mechanic I want to trust. read more

I went to brake express for a wheel alignment, front brake change and a brake flush. As pointed in the picture brake express only aligned the front and nothing else. He used OE brakes even though he agreed to use OEM. (Pictures provided) and only when confronted He changed the brakes to OEM. The OE BRAKES created a scratchy irritating sound and I had to take time out of my day for the second time to get this fixed. I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. he will try to cheap you out by using lesser qualified parts EVEN THOUGH YOU AGREE ON OEM parts!!!! read more

DONT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!! My car was leaking oil, Victor said it was the oil filter housing they have to replace the gasket it would be over $400.00 to fix. I told him i have extended warranty he said they dont want to deal with the warranty company, they ask weird questions and they take long to pay is the reason he gave me. So i took my car to the dealer and they found nothing wrong, the drain plug was loose thats why there was oil leaking. This M.F. tried to rip me off. I hope this prevents others from getting jacked by a thief/criminal. It's aholes like this that give mechanics a bad name. read more

We bought a used 2006 Mercedes and immediatley started having issues. The ranny was a big one. It was getting stuck in limp mode and we took it to the guy across from craig johnson who didnt want to work on it. I could hardly get it into reverse after that! I dont know what that guy did, he made it ten times worse! The whole car would jolt when I tried to shift into reverse and it made a huge "THUMP". I was scared to drive it. So on a chance we stopped by this place with the big merceedes symbol on it and these two gentlemen were super complimentary and kind to myself and my sig other who used to be a mechanic. They said leave the car and we will let you know the next day. They explained several options and basically said that we were already on borrowed time with this car and they couldnt guarantee any thing. They were completely transparent and honest. They said they would drain the tranny fluid and try to fix those speed sensor wires or replace them. he called back in about 15 mins with bad news.... Turns out the dealer or anyone in fact doesnt make them anymore!!! They said they would do the best they could & that we would be looking at possible getting a rebuilt tranny as the worst case.. I dont know what they did, its like a MIRACLE.. the car shifts smoother than ever did before!!! No thudding, no slipping into limp mode. Well its been a couple of days all the issues are still magically gone! It was totally worth the 300 for whatever they did. I was shocked to see the bad reviews. I guess they took it to heart cause they were more than good to us. We will come back. read more

Took my 2014 Jaguar XJ there. Victor fixed the coolant and water pump leaking problem, replaced gaskets and stuff, in a short period of time and with a reasonable price. The Jaguar dealer asked $2500 to fix that. Definitely recommend this place. Will comeback for regular service in the future. read more

My dad had brought his Lexus 430 in for repairs when it broke down on its way to vegas. A family friend had recommended this place and we thought we would give it a chance, so we had our car towed here. The mechanic/owner Victor said something was wrong with the engine and said that he needed to order another engine. So we trusted him and waited about a week and called in every other day to check up on the status of the car. He would say things are going well. When we went to pick the car up, the engine was running...but a malfunction indicator lamp was on and the engine sounded oddly loud. We asked him about it, and he said that it was the best he could do because he was not experienced enough with such cars as Lexus' and that it was not his fault. He obviously did not fix the car and now is requesting us to pay for all the services and engine parts. We brought the car to Longo as we should have in the beginning and they said the aftermarket engine that Victor bought was rusted on the inside and a water tank he installed was leaking... Please stay away from Brake Express, as its owner is incompetent and not experienced in "certain" cars. I would not risk him working on my car. I would give him a 0 stars if I could. read more

PREVIOUS REVIEWS ARE RIGHT ON - A SCAM! An auto repairshop next to Brake Express suggested to do my wheel alignment for $50 at this place. When I called, Victor demanded $55. I told him that I could have alignment done for $40. He said, "I paid $40,000.00 for a new machine, the same Hunter Computerized Alignment machine that dealerships use. It has camera and print out. Anyone do cheaper than $55 is a bad machine, no print-outs. Just like i-Phone 5 is not as good as iPhone 8." I told him that iPhone can connect to Internet and can talk; alignment cannot. After reading his reviews, I definitely not give him my business. He is a looser to argument heatedly with customers. Stay away from Brake Express. read more

I've been for more tow truck rides than anyone. My 2001 Land Rover discovery broke down. I got a tow to the auto repair plaza where Victor is located, someone pointed me to his shop. He seemed busy but he dropped everything he was doing to tell me I needed a new AC compressor. The old one seized that day. He ordered the part on the spot and it arrived a few hours later. I was back on the road with cold AC in what felt like 4 hours, for a fair price. Unbelievable experience, he saved me a head ache! Highly recommend. read more

I had brought my BMW 5 series here for a check to see why it was running hot. I had taken it to a different mechanic specializing in BMW repairs who had put new hoses on and said it was fixed. Victor, the shop owner, showed me there was a slight crack near the top of the radiator, which is made of plastic. He replaced the radiator with authentic BMW parts and charged a fraction of what Savage BMW wanted for replacing my radiator. I never had a problem again and this repair was done over a 2 years ago. I've since had him work on my Mercedes compressor. He has replaced brakes, done synthetic oil changes, wheel alignment, etc. read more

I forgot to mention that when I got an alignment in 2009, Victor did not give a print out as "printer was broken". As I stated before, his alignment machine is outdated and as I read the current reviews, 7 years later, his printer is still broken. This place is a joke. Do not go here. read more

Hello everyone first of all i would like to start off by saying thank you to victor for always repairing my car the way it should, when i took my car in (99 honda civic) victor knew what needed to be done, and did it accordingly. I really dont know why all these other people are putting none sense about BrakeExpress. I took my 2002 Chevrolet Silverado to this shop to have a wheel alignment done. I also purchased new tires at the suggestion of the friendly owner Victor. To my surprise the new tires began wearing out the same way the old ones had, I suspected the wheel alignment had not been done properly. So I took my truck to Firestone on Colima Rd. They said the mechanic who had done the wheel alignment had done a horrible job. I had to get a new wheel alignment to preserve my new tires. Definitely will not be back and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

Took my car here to get an alignment and his equipment was very old and it seemed like he didnt even use the machine. There is no print out with the specs to give you since he says the printer is broken. So i took my car to pep boys and they offer a free alignment check. Found out the the alignment was way off and received a print out. Pretty much getting an alignment here is throwing your money away. Don't go here just because its cheap, the alignment will not be done correctly and you will need to get it done again. read more

Well...obviously they didn't, my car was still pulling like crazy. Took the car to another shop, they fixed my problem, and gave me the print out that my alignment was still way off. I used this mechanic for over ten years. I did not know he was placing the wrong parts on my car on purpose. I had Victor put a new head on my car and new valves as well as a new cam shaft with new rocker arms. I paid him a lot of money for new parts. My car would not run when I got it back. I took my car to another mechanic and he showed me while they were tearing down my car what Victor did. My car only had 1000 miles on the new head, cam shaft, and valves. The cam shaft was ground down so the valves would not open. My engine would have blown up if I did not go to another mechanic. I paid Victor $1600.00 to fix my car. It cost me $2600.00 more to fix everything Victor damaged on purpose. When I spoke with Victor about what happened he stated I was just trying to get him in trouble. He knew what he did. He did not care about me and what I had to do to fix my car. He only cared about himself. This guy is a Con Artist. He put wrong parts and purposely ground my cam shaft to blow up my engine. I have proof of what he did. The rocker arms were flattened by grinding them as well. This was no accident. I will never go back. I have witnesses that have seen this guy rip people off. He put bad parts on cars an hopes they will break down soon so can make more money. THIEF, LIER, CON ARTIST. Be careful he will lie to your face and blame everything on something else. read more
