I made an appointment for 3:30. I was on time. Just an oil change. No big deal. I'm ok with the price. I put the window covers up EVERYTIME I get out of my car, so it's bearable to get back into it. BTW it's 110 degrees outside rn. The time on my reciept says 4:53. SO MY QUESTION IS, WHY SHOULD I BOTHER MAKING AN APPOINTMENT IF IT'S GOING TO BE AN HOUR AND A HALF FOR A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE? Next question, IF THEY'RE GONNA TAKE AN HOUR AND A HALF TO DO A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE , WHY CAN'T THEY TAKE HALF A MINUTE TO PUT THE F****** SHADES BACK IN THE WINDOW? IT'S NOT LIKE IT'S THAT HARD TO DO. YOU CAN'T TELL ME THAT THEY'RE SO INEPT THAT THEY CAN'T PUT THE SHADES, THAT THEY TOOK OUT OF THE WINDOW, BACK INTO THE WINDOW, IF THEY CAN CHANGE MY OIL. I WAS NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO BURNING MY HANDS WHEN I GOT BACK INTO MY CAR! So they're not going to be as careful with my car as I am, and they don't care that I took time out of my day to come to their shop. I think i'm kind of insulted. The breakdown on my bill says that out of my ninety seven dollars , twenty five of that was labor. You know , just for the principal of it , I think maybe I should get five bucks off for how long it took and another five bucks for not putting the shades back in the window. I know that anytime I have used someone else's car, I give it back in the same condition that I got it in , because that's how they like their car. I'm so glad that I'm not expect it to leave a tip! So yes, they did the job they were supposed to do. Customer service SUCKS! Maybe that should be put on their parts order form. For a hundred dollars, I can find somewhere else to go for my future oil changes. And trying to find their location for this review, i found a $20 COUPON That they didn't mention! read more

One word for this business and it's SHISTERS I took my truck to this place to add AC coolant and they charge me for the service with dye, the next day it came out so they said I needed a AC line have it fixed and I'll put add the coolant back in he said 2 weeks later I came back and then he said No they wanted to fix the problem he said and I left I don't recommend them run I believe they busted my line on purpose to try to get more money. read more

I called and tried to make an appointment for a routine oil change and they told me that they don't take appointments after 330 but I could walk in anytime after that and they would gladly take care of me. I came in around 415 the next day, and they said that they were all booked up and couldn't take care of me but they could schedule me for the next day. Came in the next day around 330 and they said that I didn't have an appointment and there is nothing that they could do. The worthless employee I spoke to acted like he didn't even care. My young daughter had serious issues with her alignment and struts. I had her drive to this shop where the manager took care of her. Communication was excellent as well as the price and time to get the work done. Its been a few months now and the work done on her car is sound. I feel confident that her car is safe to drive. Wasted my time I went to get my wheel struts replaced the reason being was I couldn't get them to fully sit to the hub (had already tried just about everything to get them in to the point where I started damaging threads and the head of the strut) and the lady at the counter told me to basically do it myself suggesting ways to get them in defeating the purpose of going read more

Thanks Jesus, you're the best :) Update: ZERO star after 3 weeks AC stopped working, been to the store back and forth without being able to fix it, finally he sent me to other location Broadway/Campbell where it was fixed for 2 weeks, was on the high way, close to Globe, middle of no where, the car stopped working and smoke coming out of the motor. Towed the car to the mechanic and he said one of the clamp hose wasn't tight well during changing the AC kit that cost nearly $1500 Paid another $360 and was lucky that I didn't lose the whole motor. Driving from San Jose Ca to Austin Tx pulling a trailer in 106 degree heat, and my Lexus overheats on the freeway. No idea where to go, and lucked in to Brake Masters. Explained the situation and the service advisor, Enrique, took the car right in. Pulled off the radiator cap and said "Problem Solved". Had him pressure check the cooling system aok. $12 for a radiator cap and $39 for the system check, and on my way! If this shop was closer to home, I would make it my regular shop. read more

A few hours wasted. I went in for alignment and on the way home I notice my steering wheel not leveled out. Upon entering my car my door area was extremely dirty from the mechanic. When you have that funny feeling about a place on just the way it looks and you tell yourself this is not a good idea. No so great experience, they left grease all over my center console and seat. Now I have to remove the grease and hope it does not leave a permanent stain. I should go back and charge them for cleaning fee, shop fee, etc.... A bit dishonest in the pricing; they tell you the cost plus tax, when its time to pay they add tons of fees. Any other place will refund you the difference if you were told one thing and given another...classic bait-switch! I really don't know where to start... Let me start by warning you, their wait estimates are 1 hour and 1/2 an hour, but those are far from reality. How do I know what their estimates are? Because I heard the employee managing the desk tell 5 different people plus me that it would be an hour, and one guy was told "we're busy right now, normally we get you in and out, in half an hour, but right now we are busy it'll be an hour." Friday at 10:30 am I called this place, since my husband has lifetime brakes with them, and asked for an appointment to have his car brakes replaced. The employee told me we can get you in right now, I ask if it would be two hours or so, he tells me "oh no, they take about an hour" which seems great to me! I ask him if it would still be an hour if I get there in an hour since I live so far away from this location. The answer? You guessed it, an hour. I arrived exactly at 11:30am. I get to the place and give the guy my information and car keys, he tells me they're going to do an inspection to see what the damage is. Ok, I tell him I'm going to walk around, but to call me if anything changes. At 12:30, an hour after I had handed them my car keys, he calls me to give me an estimate on the damage, and asks if it's ok to go ahead and do the work. It has been an hour since I left them the car, and they're just now calling me to ask me if they could do the work. I tell him to go ahead, but if it's going to take them more than 2 hours (2:30) then to call me and I can come back another day because I need to go to work. 1:30pm comes around, no call. 2:00 pm comes around and still no call. I get there at 1:15 and ask if my car is ready, they say it should be ready soon. So I sit and wait, when 2:30 rolls around, my car is still not ready! I go to the desk and ask to be charged now, so that when my car is ready I can just take the keys and go. It is now 2:45, and the guy just took my car out for a test drive. Finally at 2:50 I get my car. Thinking I will never come here again. I get in my car and find that the jerks that were working on my car left their trash in my car! A half empty can of V-8 is sitting on my cup holder. Now, not only did they lie to me about the time it takes to get their work done, but the people here are very unprofessional, at least 2 times in the time I was there, they were speaking badly about other clients in spanish (I'm fluent) and all around rude in their careless way of treating customers. read more

Just walked in here I was approached by a great manager on duty. Asked"Jesus"what do you charge for trip inspection he said it's free. They brought my car here in the shop within 5 minutes and getting an inspection done including all the fluids brakes all around as well as suspension. Only been in Tucson for 18 months first time in this shop and I get treated like royalty I will be back for future recommendations for repairs:) . read more

Two weeks ago, I took my car into the Brake Masters at 3803 North Oracle Road. Daniel, the manager, made the appointment for me, and I came back in with my Malibu at 8 AM the next day. The serviceman who was inspecting my brakes came in and asked me, "Sir, was there any issue with the brakes that caused you to bring them in?" I said, "No, it's just that I'm about to begin that part of the year where I work on mountain roads, and I like getting the brakes inspected before going back to doing that." He said, "Well, there's nothing wrong with your brakes, sir. I'm putting everything back on, and in a few minutes you'll be good to go." I asked Daniel what the charge was going to be, and he said, "Nothing." These people are honest, friendly, and fast. They know their job, and I especially appreciate how honest they are! read more

I had a very concerning problem with my back passenger wheel. I had a tire put on the front less than a week prior and didn't have it balanced as I was short on funds. Mistake #1. The wobbling got worse and then things changed when it seemed to stop. I heard a grinding metal noise on the pass rear wheel, especially when I took left turns or any pressure was put on that side almost like a brake part was rubbing. After a couple of days(it wasn't payday yet, we all know this stuff happens before we have the money for repair) it started squealing like fingernails on a chalkboard but high pitched. I just wanted to lubricate it to make it stop but didn't want to damage anything. I stopped at my usual go to place to have the normal mechanic see if it was a wheel bearing or brake issue. He showed me without taking the wheel off there was a LOT of play that shouldn't be there. He said if he took it all apart and had no time for a couple of days to do so, I should contact junk yards(my car is 2001) to see if they had a spindle the bearing comes in just incase it was too damaged as well. I went slow to home worried, about 10-15miles going like 30mph. I called a mobile service I found on yelp for a price quote just to replace the wheel bearing assembly. $434 approx. cost! I said no way, how much was the part. He said like $263. I said I found the part for less than $80 at a parts store. He was checking w/the boss about putting on a part I buy and I decided to call Brake Masters, incase there was a brake part also under warranty. The manager was so awesome. He said even if there are things that may need replacing, we will only do what you ask. I had a quote for just the wheel bearing assembly I bought to be put on for $98 for 1hr labor! He said he'd have time today to do it. I was so worried it would be something else. The "best mechanic" he had took off the wheel and they showed me the movement on the assembly and said I only had like 1 more day and it would've broke. It was perfect with just this replaced all the brake parts and spindle were ok. It was done in about 20minutes. I was thrilled. I took the highway this morning at 70mph and just need to get that front tire balanced. These guys SAVED ME!!!!!!! I'm going back for more work here soon. It is pretty close to where I live:) P.S. there wasn't supposed to be tax on labor alone but there was a shop fee and tax, so he applied a 7.00 coupon to bring the amount to just above the 98.00 I was quoted. Brake masters is great, it is Brake Max that has given me very bad service and incorrect A/C diagnostics. Don't confuse Brake Max with the Quality of service you do get at Brake Masters. Rick, manager at the Ina and Oracle intersection Brake Masters will give you an honest shake and when he is not around you can trust Paul the Assistant manager to be honest and forthright. Out of many good service locations this one is currently just superb.I had our control arm bushings done today , they finally needed the replacement . 7 years ago Honda Service tried to get us to replace the bushings because they were cracked. Just because the rubber is cracked doesn't mean the bushings aren't good ! However now was the time and Brake Masters did it for $200 less, and didn't try and shake us down for unnecessary repairs. read more

I stopped in due to a referral from Discount Tire across the street. I had driven over a tire on the freeway and pulled my wheel fender out and mangled it. Daniel Zepeda was amazing. He took my car right in, re connected the fender back on and cut the mangled part off. He told me it would be safe for me to drive the freeway back to Phoenix. When I asked how much I owed, he said there was no charge. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. When I got back to Phoenix to my Honda dealer, they said he did the right thing and they would get the part in and replace it. While waiting, a lady was waiting on her car and just sang the praises of Daniel. She had been coming for years and when he left, the replacement manager was terrible. But, now that he is back, so is she. I read the other reviews and can certainly respect their experience, but I can tell you: Daniel was very busy and seemed short staffed, but he was nothing but polite and courteous and offered some amazing customer service and I appreciate his service. read more

Went to this location with my car, had 50,000 miles and a bit of a vibration during breaking. This location gave me a free inspection and a sign that said $89 for lifetime brakes. They quoted me a price of over $700 to fix my brakes. They said I needed to replace all the rotors and all the pads. They said the rotors could not be turned and the pads were 70 percent worn on the front and 30 percent in the rear. I decided to go somewhere else for another estimate. The second brake company turned the rotors and replaced all the pads for $99. This location is dishonest and attempted to charge me for parts that did not need replaced. Beware and avoid this location. If they quote you a full replacement at least get a second estimate elsewhere. read more

Please do not come to this Oracle location whatever you do. I have gone here several times for various services (besides your run of the Mill oil change). I have gotten my serpentine belt, timing belt, and starter replaced. My issues all began when I got my serpentine belt replaced in December of 2016. This was after I got my first starter replaced in July of 2016. Every time I started the car it would make a squealing sound, I thought it would fix itself on its own. This was not the case. A few months later I took it back and all they did was spray lube and was told I "should be good to go". A few weeks later my starter failed and Ironically this was at another mechanic i went to for AC repair, so I had to go back to Brake Masters as it was supposed to be under a "Lifetime warranty ". Granted they honored warranty under the condition that I pay labor and pay for a new Harmonic balancer (which I suspect they messed up at the time my Serpentine belt was replaced due to the haphazard nimrods they call technicians employed there- More on that later). This was July of 2017. Flash forward to May of 2018, my starter fails again, and this time it's due to oil leaks, and on top of it it was out of warranty, due to the amount of miles and time I had the original part ( I was under the impression that it was a lifetime warranty, again misinformation and haphazardness). I get Starter replaced as I needed my car working ASAP. Then the next day I get called and told my radiator needs replacement. My radiator was fine and never overheated or caused the car to stall / smoke until that day. This again brings me to the suspicion that when they are fixing one thing they are careless and haphazard and end up breaking other components and they have the nerve to charge you for them on top of that. I even brought this to the manager's attention and he vehemently denied it. Granted this is a 15 year old vehicle and components are bound to fail, however what I am seeing here is a trend. In fact I took it upon myself to replace radiator with the help of my pops and what did we find? A loose pair of pliers jammed up in here. This brings me back to the point of haphazard and carelessness. I used to come here frequently due to convenient location, however this place has left a sour taste in my mouth. read more
