The reviews for this place are excellent and so I decided to take my Tacoma to them to get some…read morework done. The truck is fairly old so, among several other things, they quoted new shocks and strut assemblies. After getting the truck back and driving a few days back and forth to work I noticed that it always had a pronounced lean where the passenger side of the vehicle was riding several inches higher than the driver's side. After calling to confirm, Phil stated that they had done an alignment and had even verified the ride height/level. The truck was definitely leaning though so something was not right, I took it to the Toyota dealership and they showed me the issue. Fort Worth Auto Garage had installed the wrong shock and strut assemblies on one side of the vehicle. I don't believe Fort Worth Auto Garage actually did an alignment or a ride height check, because it surely would have been noticed that the incorrect parts had been installed on one side of the truck. That being said, once I confronted Phil with this information he did agree to install the correct parts so eventually it was fixed. Fort Worth Auto Garage do have reasonable prices, however they seem to be a bit sloppy with their work and they do not seem to pay close attention to details, such as part numbers.

My father put marks on some parts in the vehicle to see if they would actually get replaced, and he got his vehicle returned with the marks in the same place meaning they were not replaced at all. They are very dishonest. One of the times I was there, the employees were arguing with a neighboring business over parking. The people here are not very friendly, have a dirty office and waiting area, do not repair your vehicle sometimes and are dishonest about doing so, and you will waste a lot of time here. I'm super disappointed with this Brakes Plus location. I've had work done by BP before and had a…read moregood experience. I referred a family member to them and they treated her horribly. The mechanic that worked on her vehicle messed up when installing her new brakes and would not admit it. When my family member got her car back, it was making a loud clunking noise that it never made before. She brought this to the attention of the manager, who brought the mechanic out to take a test drive with her. The mechanic was blaming it on her bad struts and proceeded to drive over speed bumps faster than she should have to try to make the struts make noise. The struts are older and do need to be replaced soon, but they are not failing yet, and the noise was completely new. The mechanic proceeded to gaslight my family member, telling her that it was definitely the struts and that's the only thing that would be making that noise. After the test drive, where she drove completely unprofessionally, my family member asked if the manager would take a look at it. He said yes, we will take a look at it, and lifted it up on the lift and pointed a flashlight at each tire, and that was it. He said, "I don't see anything wrong. It's definitely your struts." He didn't take any of the tires off or do any due diligence. The mechanic, who is a lady, was completely rude and adamant that she had done millions of these and she knows for sure she didn't mess anything up. My family member ended up leaving in tears and calling me to tell me what happened. She then proceeded to take her vehicle back to a different Brakes Plus the following day. The mechanic there noticed the problem immediately and fixed her mistake. I specifically sent her there because she is a woman and I know women get taken advantage of by mechanics all the time. That lady mechanic and her manager should be ashamed of themselves for trying to take advantage of a single mom. The mechanic's attitude was completely unprofessional and she has no business dealing with customers.
