This location didn't tighten the lug nuts. Left and came back. Manager apologized and said they would reimburse part of the cost. Year later still nothing. Went back today because these lifetime brake pads were starting to squeal. Less than 2,000 miles. Had all 4 wheels turned and pads replaced a year ago. Then was told it was the way I drive. Then said cost with labor to replace pads and turn rotors again would be $250. I can buy new rotors and pads for half the cost. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Andy, "master technician" will tell you that $2,000 in repairs are needed, even though you just needed an oil change. The pressure tactics are insane. and I told me that he and his other master technician said my car is a liability in its condition and should be immediately parked if no repairs will be done that day. $2k in repairs. when I refused, they said they could get it done for $1k. SCAMMERS. It's been 2 full months and I've driven my car to amarillo, Phoenix, and Albuquerque on 3 separate occasion. My car is running fine. It's not just me... do your homework. read more

Earlier this month I went it and got my bearings done they said I needed an alignment. I paid $150 for the alignment and my steering wheel was still wobbling. This weekend I went somewhere else for new tires and learned I in fact had not gotten a new alignment from breaks plus, even though I had paid for one. This is a serious safety concern when they are telling people they are doing thing they in fact aren't, and are having people pay for them as well. Very disappointing. read more

NEGLIGENT - DO NOT GO HERE I had my brakes serviced at Brakes Plus, only to have them completely fail just three days later, putting mine and other's safety at serious risk. While they did redo the job after I brought the issue to their attention, they offered no compensation or meaningful acknowledgment for the inconvenience or danger caused by their initial negligence. The customer service throughout was dismissive and unhelpful. Correcting a mistake after it nearly causes an accident is the bare minimum--owning the responsibility and making it right is what a reputable business should do. Brakes Plus failed on both counts! If I could give zero stars I would. First time coming here they replaced my brake pads unnecessarily because they 'squeak' - I only need new pads if I need new pads. Not because they are making a noise. Second time I came on accident again (would have never came back if I realized it was these guys), I came in for an alignment. They told me I needed a special outdated clamp after an hour of waiting. Brought it down the road to big o tires and they took care of my alignment immediately. These guys suck. Our Toyota RAV4 had some grinding sounds and when we applied the brakes the entire car shook. We immediately knew that rotors and new brake pads were needed. Plus, the vehicle needed an oil change. We made a phone call an got an appointment for the next day. The service guys at the desk were informative, kind and a handed us written cost estimate. They also gave us a time frame of how long the work would take and finished within that window, same day. There was one item they replaced but wasn't something we felt we needed and they removed it from the bill. My husband took his Expedition in for an alignment. It had new upper ball joints. He was told it needed new lower ball joints. Their price was more than 3 times what it ended up costing. He returned to have them do the alignment. Was told this time that he needed new cam bolts. They wanted $149 for the bolts,($20) on line. And $350 to install them. They took less than 10 min for my husband to replace them. The Neighborhood Garage at the corner of Ken Caryl and Garrison was a much better choice. read more

I went in to replace my brakes because the Mazda dealership mentioned that I needed new brakes the last time I got my oil changed. I took my car into Brakes Plus today and was pleasantly surprised with the level of service I received. You never know what you're going to get when you take your car someplace new. Turns out, I didn't need new brakes at all. So why am I leaving a review? 1) Because of the honesty I received from the mechanic that I didn't need new brakes. They could've easily replaced my brakes and I wouldn't have even known it. 2) I did need to replace my battery and they were extremely quick and efficient about it. Discount Tire sent me here to have some lug nuts replaced. The service guys here made it sound like my brakes would fail and my rocker arm would fall off if I didn't let them fix them immediately. They cautioned me that I shouldn't leave for an upcoming road trip till those items were fixed and gave me an estimate for over $1,000.00. Luckily, I had just had my car maintained by my local mechanic the week before, and I knew that nothing needed immediate replacement right then and there. This high-pressured, fear-mongering approach was sleazy and irritating, and I immediately lost all respect for them. And then they took FOREVER to replace the lug nuts after I declined their services. Pick someplace else. read more

This was the 2nd time I have been to this location. The last time, I went for a brake inspection because the dealer told me that I needed to replace my rear brakes. They took a look and said that was incorrect and my brakes were fine. I think that was the first time I've been to an auto shop and left without them trying to fix something. Fast forward, a year later and my brakes are squeaking so I took it back and it was time to replace them. They got me up and on my way that same day. Friendly staff and unbeatable service. I think if zero stars was an option I'd be selecting it. first time I went there i took my Volkswagen which had no aftermarket suspension and I needed an alignment. they told me no because it was too low. you can't align a standard height car? so I refused to go to them and chose Les Schwab instead which was hassle free. now again I needed an alignment and they were close so I figured I'd give them a try again. my car is a 2010 audi a4 which not so long ago I had all my suspension done. I needed an alignment and they said they couldn't do it because I needed all 8 control arms and all new shocks and struts.....incredible...of course they quoted me $5496 to do it. I can do all that myself for under a thousand but why would I if everything is completely fine!! I'm a mechanic myself I just don't do alignments. all my bushings and struts are 100% fine... such a waste of time. if you're worried about getting taken advantage of then do not go to this place. what a joke..I wrote this while watching Les shwab align my car... read more

Shoutout to Mark Taberski at Breaks Plus in Governors Ranch I went in for an alignment after replacing my own breaks and getting new tires. I hoped that the alignment would fix a shimmy in the steering that began after I put my car back together. The shop manager warned me that the alignment would not likely be the answer and suggested that I may also need to confirm my rotors were properly seated when I did my breaks. After the alignment was complete, the shimmy was still present. I went home and found that one of my rotors indeed was not seated properly. I made the adjustment and all is good. They could have talked me into all kinds of additional work but Mark was more concerned with doing the right thing. These are good, trustworthy guys. read more

Another good experience, unfortunately they could not do the transmission gasket work my vette required but they sent me to a great shop and I'm getting it done there. I know cars but transmissions are a whole other thing, a tranny shop can tell you ANYthing and it's hard to argue, generally I'd always get at least two opinions before proceeding but the shop called me, it's a simple gasket replacement. Saw a review two months ago saying stay away, I wish I would have listened. Came in for a simple wheel alignment because I got new tires on my Juke & my car kind of sways a little when driving. Was told I needed a new tire rod on my passenger side & they wouldn't do the alignment unless I got this, which I just had replaced last thanksgiving on that side, so makes no sense. Did that, pick my car up & not only does it still sway a bit, now I'm having my car shuttering & a loud grinding sound from my driver side! If you come here, however, you will definitely get an honest assessment of your vehicle and it's needs, upkeep or repairs. Very informant and the management is top notch with answering questions and thoroughly explaining things. Keep in mind when reading negative reviews - people get stressed and angry when things break down and project that at the people trying to fix it when that fix isn't cheap. Feels like a local auto shop. They know you as you come in the door. Friendly, honest, and timely service. Last time I dropped my car off to get serviced, they noticed my ABS light (sensor) came on. Since they wanted to get my car back to me, they asked me to bring my car back in, when it was convenient for me, and they would fix the problem. About a week later, I dropped my car off for them to diagnose and fix the issue. I also had a brake light out, and asked them to change it. I expected to pay for the brake light. They fixed both issues, and didn't charge me. read more
