Came here today for Mother's Day. Wait was not long at all. The workers were really friendly and provided great service. I ordered blue berry pancakes, eggs and home fries. The pancakes were the best I've ever had. The whole family enjoyed their meals. We will be back for sure! read more

Eh, It was ok...nothing to write home about, but no complaints either. They have a great menu selection. I ordered the machaca which came out piping hot. The home fries that came with it were pretty bland, not flavorful at all. Others in our party said the biscuits and gravy were good. The food was pretty good for diner food. Theybhave egg white options and you can add onions or a few other options easily. The only reason this doeant get more stars is because the service was terrible! Took literally 10 minutes from when we sat to wgen the waitress came over. She took drink and food orders and never came back until she dropped the food off. I asked for extra lemons with my tea twice and never got them. Thanks for staying consistent. I have been here a couple of times (different days/hours) so that I can get a true feel of the environment and culture. Needless to say I will not be back. Food is ok and nothing to brag about. Service has traditionally been ok at best but today was horrible. My server or should I say supposed to be server was Carey. She was more interested in her other guest having a non work related side bar conversation then ensuring I had all I wanted. She took my order, brought it back and sit it on the table without saying a word. I would have liked some ranch but she had to get back to her conversation. I ate my meal slower than normal and she never checked in with me. Upon asking for my check she asks do I want another drink. Now there cups are huge and my glass is almost full. Dumb question. I should have said yes just because the question was so stupid. I will leave a $1.00 tip just because I was taught to leave something but she didn't earn a dime. I will stick with Amy's Cafe on Magnolia because I have always enjoyed my visits there and they have great food. I've tried both Brandon diners and both are pretty mediocre. However, portions are huge if you're looking to get full at a good price (way cheaper than IHOP or Norms). This Brandon's get an extra star for their 'all you can eat' salad bar. Most of the items are fresh with a few canned items here and there. The salad bar also features two different soups, fresh fruit & dessert. Regulars are mostly seniors so there's going to be a lot of coughing. Some of the waitresses are frumpy & a little grumpy - typical for a diner. read more

i wont go back to Brandons Diner. the staff was really pleasant but the food was horrible. i dont go out to eat to make friends I go out to eat to eat. so the food matters most. i got one of my favorite ( enchiladas ) and there was hardly anything inside the tortilla that felt and tasted like rubber. at first i thought i was being harsh since enchilladas is one of my favorites but my friend got chicken alfredo , i tasted it and that didnt taste right either. the menu is really big and i think that is a problem for a limited afternoon cook the only thing i did like was the giant glass of ice tea i still left a tip but i felt really dissapointed especially since it was my idea to eat there instead of olive garden. read more

Debbie, the server, is the absolute worst! DO NOT COME HERE unless you want her to yell at you at treat you like crap. Me and my family had been waiting for over 30 minutes even though we were told 15 minutes. I came in to follow up since I could see 2 booths and 3 tables empty from the window, they had been empty for a good 10 minutes. I asked Debbie how much longer the wait will be and if they were able to sit anyone down in the empty tables and she abruptly stops me and says loudly and aggressively " RIGHT! Things have to be clean before we sit so just wait". After having that interaction I asked to please not be served by her very quietly to the gentleman that sat us. He turns around (barely away from us) and tells Debbie, she then yells loud enough for me to hear " That's not my table and I don't want her either (then proceeds to laugh and just look me aggressively and uncomfortably). This is horrible for someone to treat yoUr customers this way. We should be able to ask a question and get a welcoming answer! The place is nice and clean. Food is good. But they have one server there. Her name is Aide. She's the only reason this gets a 3 Star. Set menus down walks away. We get drinks. Comes back sets them down. Walks away. What I'm getting at is she isn't a good hostess. Im not expecting a firework show, but I do expect a smile and acknowledgement as a customer. Specially when a servers job is to serve and make your experience enjoyable. Easy fix for me was to just ask for a different server. She sucks. But this place is good. If you get her. Just be aware. More of a 2.5. I had only once ever been to a Brandon's Diner, in Corona. Food and service were okay. Since this location has had some great reviews and had a higher Yelp rating, i decided to give them a try today, even travelling into Riverside. About 1:00 pm, it was a toss-up between ordering lunch or breakfast. I decided breakfast. THE GOOD: The breakfast sausage links are large and flavorful, 3 served on a regular breakfast plate (the 2 link senior breakfast for $ 5.99 for anybody over 60 would be a good alternative); the prices considering the portion-size are very reasonable; THE NOT SO GOOD: Their coffee is thin i.e. dishwater thin; Biscuits and gravy - served with some undefinable white sauce, no sausage/bacon base. Despite me having asked waitress on ordering if biscuits/gravy were home-made. Sidedish: Homefries. Being asked on ordering if green peppers and onions to be included, but never mentioning that there were upcharges of $ .50/each per ingredient. Not good. I was asked once if i wanted a coffee refill, then never saw my waitress again and waited a long long time for my check which was eventually brought by a bus-boy while i was waiting and standing at the counter for some time. ..worth a try. Will stick to much better places in Corona or Anaheim instead for future breakfasts... read more

Great portions, food extremely fresh. I was able to actually recommend a light cooked OE eggs instead of what they brought me, and the service was amazing understanding my request and having my meal redone with no comments. The place was full when I got here, the wait was about 8minutes but the staff kept checking on us and letting us know that we are next, even offer us a cup of coffee and water while we wait. It was the first time we tried Brandon's looking forward going back soon. read more

This place is a hidden gem for breakfast! Came here this morning with wifey around 10. The place was bustling. It had a nice, homey ambiance to it. gIot their weekday special which consisted of 2 eggs, pancakes and sausage for $3.99. The pancakes were generous and a step above the typical chain restaurant pancakes. The sausage links were thick and juicy. Wifey got their Monday special with 2 eggs, hash browns and toast for $3.99. Made another trip to Brandon's and I still like it. I like the fact that you can order ANYTHING off the menu at any time of day! Prices are very reasonable for the food you get. I got the Turkey Melt and it was delicious...The service was better than the first time I was here, although the young servers they employ do leave a lot to be desired...The only thing that would make this place better is tables outside on the little sidewalk so that you can enjoy a meal with your dogs! read more

I have come here three times now and there food each time was very good. I tried their cheeseburger and fries the first time. Great burger. Nice and big with fat fries and I think it was their Wednesday special. My second occassion was for breakfast. Got the cinnamon French toast and it was scrumdiliumcious! So good. I tried my son's omelette which was also delicious. He had a side of biscuits and gravy. Tried that too and loved it. My third time I ordered the meatloaf. Very good once again. Portions are huge and you get the bang for your buck. Reasonably priced for the quality of food and their menu is huge. They also have a good beer selection. My husband and I love this place! This is our go-to spot for breakfast, although they serve everything else! We've taken all our visitors from out of town here and they all enjoyed it! This place was amazing! Fast service, tasty food and even has mimosas! Brandon's Diner serves breakfast all day long, both American and Mexican style, and it is remarkably mouth watering. Took my daughter and nephew here for a late Saturday morning breakfast after a 5K race. Really liked this place. Great service, good value and good diner-type breakfast food. I had 2 eggs w/bacon and french toast and fresh fruit. They had omelettes, french toast and blueberry muffins. The choice of sides with the breakfasts is astounding. The kids LOVED it too.
