The food here is always great. I've been here several times and it's always been tasty. I love their taco Tuesday. Albondigas soup is great! I love that their chips always taste fresh and the salsa is flavorful. Our server tonight was Stephanie and she was phenomenal. I've been having pregnancy aversions, and she and the chef were able to make a custom order for me. They're very accommodating to pregnancy cravings. Highly recommend this place! The food here is good but the service during breakfast is horrible. Our waitress Regan was so rude I was uncomfortable to ask for anything because of her attitude. He heartily recommended it and I was set. Our waitress, Kathy, was very attentive and or meal was, " the best, Jerry, the best!" Rose was the acting manager and it is clear that this is the practice of this establishment because all of the employees did it. The customers that were seated in the back started discussing the fact that this must be the black section. They expressed feelings of disappointment, hurt and discomfort. I came here early with my mom after an appointment nearby. The place is large with a good amount for parking. Large variety on the menu and they serve breakfast all day. I chose to get the small salad and chili and shared a plate of fried zucchini fries and a stack of pancakes with my mom. The chili was really salty but it was chunky. The fried zucchini fries were a good size and they were cooked well, the batter was not soggy and was served steaming hot and came with ranch for dip. My mom got a denver omelet with hash browns and pancakes. The omelet had plenty of mushrooms and spinach with a large amount of cheddar cheese sprinkled on top. The pancakes were soft and fluffy with a chunk of butter. The server came with a bottle of warm syrup to drizzle on it. The staff was nice and the restroom was clean. read more

Found this place on a random yelp search. I live in Hesperia about an hour away but was in the neighborhood on a Sunday around 9:45am. Husband and I decided to give Brandon's a try and man o man are we glad we did. The food was amazing and Kathy our server was amazing! Nice friendly helpful with the menu. I had to repeat my order three times before the server even made eye contact with me, and when my food finally arrived, it was the wrong order entirely. After they corrected it, I discovered a hair in my meal! To make matters worse, I waited 30 minutes to pay, having to flag down staff because I was completely ignored, and my coffee went unfilled-- I had to chase down three different servers and wait 20 minutes just for a refill. The staff came across as rude, with no eye contact or attentiveness at all. It felt like the restaurant has hired too many inexperienced employees, putting extra pressure on the veteran staff who are struggling to keep up. I used to love coming here for breakfast, but this visit exposed serious issues with both the service and the food quality... a truly disappointing experience. read more

Have you ever bragged about a place, then finally took people there and while their food was good, yours wasn't. This was my last experience at Brandon's in Upland. Firstly, I ordered incorrectly by not recognizing the difference btwn a super large pancake and a stack of cakes. Then, I added 1 sausage link and 1 bacon strip for $4 more. I am diabetic so either of the above pancake options is not advisable, but one from the stack was do-able for me. And was delicious. Scrammed eggs were tasteless and dry but actually looked like two eggs. Bacon was good, but sausage link not good at all. Place still looks like mimi's inside, and wait staff were pleasant. Our server was nice enough but I could tell if I pressed to much on pancake issue she could snap back ferrously, it wasn't that big of a deal I just brought rest home. read more

Came here about a couple days ago with my grandma and aunt and our server Andrea was very rude, she made a snobby remark when I asked for a drink and after I said I don't have any ID proceeded to say " whatever " the chilaquiles were nasty the sauce tasted weird and super artificial and the michelada wasn't good, the drinks there don't taste like they have any alcohol since they are premade in batches. Decided to come in for breakfast, it's pretty hidden but easy to find if you map it. Got a coffee and an Ultimate omelet. Wife got chicken tendies with waffles. Overall the employees were nice, got our order right away within 5 mins of looking at the menu. My omelet was big! With a side of soft potatoes. The potatoes are like scrapings of the potatoes, something new from the other restaurants. Wife for her tendies and waffles with some scrambled eggs. A nice quiet breakfast pslce, my only two complaints 1. It has a light smell of dirty water/sewer, not strong enough to bother me, but the wife couldn't enjoy her food as she couldn't ignore the smell like me. 2. Sour cream was extra charge, and we were not told it would be. Overall a 3/5 stars, food was good, service was good, but the smell and the untold charge, cost two stars. read more

We ordered food to share since we saw they were big portions. Again no thanks. The most bland food. Pancakes were crumbling, crapes were soggy. Even the soda was mostly water. It seems all Brandon's diners are different. I remember trying the location off 60 fwy/ vineyard a while ago and I didn't really care for it. We decided to give the location off (mountain/upland) a try and we would go back. Restaurant was nice and clean. I ordered a michelada and it was good, chips and salsa Hubby ordered breakfast, it was average, nothing special, he did like it though. I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich (waitress recommended) it was really good, I'd definitely get it again. Waitress was friendly. I rated 4 stars just because they have a new menu (Birria) which I originally wanted but was told the cook who knew how to make it was not in (bummer) 2nd- service was a little on the slower side. Our waitress was very nice but she kept forgetting to bring us the basics. You know when you're ready to eat but just missing your ketchup, ranch , syrup for your pancakes and patiently wait but never gets there and your food is getting cold and get embarrassed to ask again. New Brandon's allocation at the old Mimi's Cafe building in Upland. Fantastic huge portions and excellent flavor food... Best place for CornBeef Hash for sure!!! The menu is very big with such a variety of different plates for sure to satisfy any profile requirements. The location is large and welcoming and the entire staff is very friendly and eager to help. One of our breakfast eggs came to us cold but was replaced within one minutes by the perfect warm eggs. Definitely think this place is very worth the try. Prices are not as bad considering you definitely will have leftovers for another meal. Will come back for sure with the family to this location. The location in Rancho Cucamonga on foothill has good food as well but the place is very small so you always have to wait much more to get a table. We've frequented Brandon's diner many times. Usually we go to the Rancho location which is great. Today we happened to be near the Upland location on Mountain. (The old Mimi's Cafe) The food was good, as it usually is, but KATHY made it extra special. She has an upbeat, kind spirit that I could feel the moment she greeted us. She was friendly and welcoming and provided great service.
