They worked quickly but carefully, and I was impressed by how they managed to take down a pretty substantial tree without any damage to our property or our neighbors'. The crew was highly experienced in their work, and more importantly, the cleanup afterward was thorough. No debris left behind, no mess to deal with. The pricing was very fair. Tree work in general costs a lot, especially when you are doing the work with licensed professionals who are insured, use all the right equipment, and are protective of yours and others property. Even with all that, I saw no indication of price gouging. Rush and Margret made the whole thing hassle-free. In addition they trimmed back a neighbor's overhanging Podocarpus hedge that ran 30 feet along my fence line. The job was completed in early March 2026. Robin, the foreman, and his crew of three completed the trimming on both occasions. Robin and his crew are conscientious and very hard working. Robin periodically would check with me to make sure I was happy with the progress and would immediately correct any tweaks I requested. Before the work Virgilio, the project/estimator manager, would thoroughly go over each tree/hedge with a green laser pointer, outlining for clear communications the cuts that would be made and would also on the day of the job would go over each cut with his crew. Virgilio is also very knowledgeable about the new residential fire codes for each home owner. I highly recommend CV Tree.

Arturo's Tree service does a great job at what I think is a reasonable price…read more His crew thinned out a two Chinese Elms, so they look great now, trimmed & shaped my lemon tree, took out a very large volunteer Camphor tree & some fig plants, removed a dead camphor tree and trimmed all the trees & bushes that hung over from my neighbors yard. His crew did this in just a few hours on a very hot day and cleaned up everything perfectly. This is the third time I've used Arturo's services and I couldn't be happier.

Within two years of their service we lost the two ~150 year-old protected trees that they trimmed…read more Coincidence? You be the judge, but I certainly will not trust them again. 1. One of the trees they had had a large fungus growth on it, Juan point blank said "don't worry about that" and kicked it off the base of the tree. Obviously, I believed him... until ~6 mo later when a landscaper noticed it and next thing the city comes out and declared the tree diseased to the point it had to be removed. So either he was wrong about it being benign or lied about it and took our money to trim it anyway. You decide which is worse. 2. The second tree they trimmed came down in the rain last week, having obviously been left so imbalanced (and it lay on a hill) that it just toppled under its own weight. It's incredibly sad to lose giant beautiful trees like this, and we learned the hard way that taking care of them should not be entrusted to just anyone.
