    Small Chicken Parm Sub
    Sandy D.

Heard all the hype about Brando's so just had to check it out. We went on a weekday around lunch time. Small place with 6-8 tables to eat in. We took ours to go. While we were there a gentleman was eating ziti and sauce and was saying how good it was. We ordered a small Chicken Parmesan sub. I am not wild about Chicken Parm so thought I would have a couple bites to try out. I asked for extra sauce before we left and got a small container (something like ketchup would come in) at no charge. When we opened it at home it was a bit shriveled but expected that. The sandwich was fried chicken cutlets, sauce and cheese. We got a regular roll instead of the seeded. All in all, it was OK...a sub. We were not crazy over the taste of the coating. A small sub is about 12 inches and I have heard the large is 24 inches. Most subs are $15.99 to $18.99 for small size, and $21.99 to $27.99 for the large. Can't say how much meat is in the cold cut subs. The Veal Parm is $23.99 for a small and $28.99 for a large. Haven't tried the veal so not sure how tender it is. I haven't tried anything else as I have not been back since, but they do have pasta and other type subs. Not sure why they don't have a website...

I was in the area and had heard so many good things about Brandi's that I just had to try it. The place is immaculate, you can tell the owner loves this place. The menu is small, which I think is great. Do a few things really well instead of a ton of things average. I ordered a small chicken parm sandwich on a seeded roll. It can out in a very reasonable amount of time. The small was huge and looked amazing. I wasn't overly impressed by the taste. The sauce was kind of blah and the cutlets didn't have a ton of flavor either. I need to go back and try some of the other dishes and maybe a plain cutlet to really taste it. Props to the owner who was sitting near the tables and talking to everyone in the restaurant. I will always support a restaurant with an owner like this.

Huge chicken cutlet based subs with a few Italians., pastas also, a few desserts. A fee tables to sit down. But most people were taking it to go. Price reflected the Huge sizes. Smalls $19, larges $23. Wait time was almost 45 minutes. We thought they lost our order but they didn't. They were busy but people who came in after us were leaving.

Brando's Cutlets recently opened in Haverhill on Broadway, close to I-495. Brando's serves up fresh Italian cutlet sandwiches, soups, pasta dishes, salads, and some grab and go rice balls in a hot case. I stopped in for lunch and the place was already very busy. It is moistly take out but there are some tables inside to in house dining. Sandwiches are VERY large - even the small sizes. I had a chicken cutlet sandwich that came with prosciutto, carmelized onions, cheese, arugla and a balsamic glaze. It came on a choice of bread (seeded or non). The sandwich was ready in about 15 minutes. It was very fresh and good quality. I was only able to eat half-and saved the other for later. Service was nice and pleasant. The restaurant is wheelchair accessable-with accessable bathroom, however a wheelchair could not be able to pass down the hallway to the barthoom, due to a large chest freezer in the way. I hope to stop by again soon and try out more menu options. I really just want to taste a cutlet naked or with just sauice and cheese so I can rate just the cutlet it self. I will report back.

Sandwiches are good and huge. A small feeds two people. Some of the best cutlets I've ever had. We definitely be back.

Roma Restaurant - The mighty Veal Parmesan! Tender, huge and tasty!

Were going to go for a roast beef at 110 in Bradford but they said they had just closed. So off we…read morego. We turned left and went towards Haverhill. Thought of the Roma Restaurant that we heard was under new management and really good. My husband went in and asked if they were still open for dinner. They said yes that they closed at 9:00 and it was 8:45. I thought that was phenomenal because I can't tell you the number of restaurants say they're closing at a certain time and then when you go, they break the news that the kitchen closes a half an hour or an hour earlier. We went in and decided to eat at a high top in the bar because there was no one in the dining room because it was so late. I will say the dining room is very elegant. And...has cozy booths, which we love! Our server was Dodi who was very pleasant and accommodating. Ordered drinks. And just ordered our entrees right away knowing it was so late. My husband ordered Veal Parmesan and Ziti which was $30.00 and I ordered Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo which was $26.00. Very reasonable for the amount and quality you get. I always say, if you have to anything with an entree because you are not making the margins, go up on price...don't go down on quantity and quality. This place has done that. They brought out some crusty rolls that I believe were meant to be served warm, but weren't very warm, but considering the time, were good none the less. Our entrees came. I've got to tell you; my husband and I are the pickiest people you know. We will drive an hour to a restaurant. I don't like any restaurants in my close vicinity. My husband said this Veal Parmesan was the tenderest veal, a huge portion, and super delicious. As he was eating, he said we are definitely coming back here! The chicken in my Chicken Broccoli Alfredo was super tender! Usually, you get stringy chicken in these dishes which is cheap chicken. It came with fettuccine pasta which the next time I would change to ziti, for no reason except ziti is easier to eat. The alfredo sauce was freshly made from cream, not some globby pre prepared stuff. Very, very good. Nothing like years ago. If you haven't been to the Roma in a million years as we had, don't judge your past experience. Try them out! Very pleasant surprise and somewhere for us to go that isn't an hour away! I will tell you the only mistake the new owners made is in keeping the same name as the old Roma. The reviews on Yelp are mostly based on the old Roma which was a dump. If they insist on keeping the name, they should add something to it and get a new account on Yelp that reflects the new patrons reviews.

This new owner is going to have problems. Never asked if we wanted dessert. I suggest everyone to go to Mr Mike's! If it can't handle the number of seats in the restaraunt, then it shouldn't have that many. Slow service. I give it a thumbs down!

As with the Andover location, the service was excellent, the menu compelling, the cocktails generous, and the food beautifully and competently prepared. We would love to continue patronizing both locations, but they both suffer from the same issue - an overly loud environment ... so much ambient noise , that conversation was more than difficult. The server said that week nights weren't so loud, but that limits options. As much as we'd love to go back, the noise factor will likely prevent us from doing so. Others have complained about this issue - maybe management can do something to ameliorate the din.

The area / location seemed like it is new build. The interior is beautiful and very clean. We were here on a Monday night without reservations and were seated quickly as it wasn't crowded. We started with a sampler of apps with the Burrata and wow that was the most delicious started I've had. The complimentary bread and oil were also top notch, the bread was warm and seasoned. For mains we got short ribs and mushroom and goat cheese flatbread. The serving sizes were large (not complaining!). The service was prompt, kind and attentive. The bill was reasonable. Overall a great experience! We will definitely be back soon.
