One of the worst shopping experience ever! The people that work here are extremely rude! My daughter was shopping with her friends and needed help with the price of some items. She politely asked an employee and she looked straight at her and ignored her. Another customer noticed how she totally shined her on and said something to the employee. She then said no she didn't need help and continued to ignore my daughter and her friends. The employees at this store need some serious attitude adjustment. Overpriced and over rated. I don't understand how this store ever became as popular as it was (is?). You can go to Forever 21 for the same items at a fourth of the price. Everyone in here and working here seems to be about the same age. They do have cute items but it's not much to offer. The employees seem to just be "there." I'm surprised this store has lasted as long as it did. The clothes are pretty cheaply made, which I understand for teen clothing, but not when you're paying $30 for a white tshirt that's super tight fitting. Expect no help but at least they have cute clothes. EXPERIENCE: No greeting, no asking if you need help, if you're trying to reach for something they'll just watch you struggle or walk passed you to go fold clothes, when you ask them for help don't expect a smile. Nicest people are probably the ones at the register, too and they can't be on the sales floor helping you out because the lines are soooo long. ACCESSIBILITY: It's a pretty small store and always crowded. They have a small-average size fitting room space. One fitting room available for handicap. PARKING: I have yet to experience trouble finding parking at the spectrum. CLOTHING QUALITY: One size fits all, except for some shorts that come in different sizes but the majority is one size fits all. To be honest I'd say this store is over priced for the quality of some of their tanks. I asked the girl if I could return if my items don't fit since the dressing rooms are closed due to Covid and she said "yes it will go back to your card" and I went back 40 minutes later since I tried on my items to return and she told me it's in store credit only when 40 minutes prior she said I could get it back on my card. I've been to this brandy melville a few times and I didn't really notice the customer service or lack thereof in the begining but during my last visit I noticed the obvious attitudes they have toward certain races. While I was in the checkout line the cashier was helping the woman and her daughter who was in front of me, she was all smiles and laughs, so I thought okay, she seems nice, and expected to get the same treatment. Wow was I wrong. As soon as she saw me, she had a completely blank face, no "hi, did you find everything okay?" Or even a hello. I even smiled at her but nope all I got from her was "do you know our return policy?" and proceeded to swipe my card. I recommend just shopping at pacsun or nordstrom stores instead, since they carry brandy melville and have 100x better customer service. read more

I bought a top, a pair of pants, and earrings today, but upon arriving home, I realized that the cashier didn't put the earrings in my shopping bag after I paid for it! I hope she genuinely forgot it instead of doing so on purpose for whatever reason. Everyone who works there seems to be high-school girls. I don't blame them for not being nice, but clearly the store didn't give them adequate training in customer service. I think the whole brand's concept is questionable. They only have clothes in sizes that are equivalent to S or XS-ish. Not good for young girls' body image at all. I'm slim, but I'm not going to shop there any more. Workers standing in front of the merchandise just gabbing to each other literally one foot apart while we were trying to look. I am so appalled with their staff. It's actually disgusting. First of all they extremely clueless when you ask them questions. Second They loose items you ask them to hold on too, with this the take the items you want to try on and wear them....I had too many close to bring into the fitting room, so one of the staff said she would hold on to it. I come out to see some of the clothes missing from my pile. I asked where I was and they looked at me like I was stupid and pretended to "help" looking around the room. later while I was about the check out another staff member came out of their private area WEARING THE SHIRT I WANTED TO TRY ON!" She seriously took it from my pile. I am very grossed out. Not only that, but when I asked the to hold onto my "yes" pile to try on the rest, she seemed to of lost some because she gave me 4 items back out of 7. I mean c'mon, how stupid do you have to be to work their. It seemed extremely simple, but I guess not. I walked to the fitting rooms with 16 items, and she gave me 12 to try on! Just wow!! Also while I was checking out. They girl forgot to place things in my bag that I purchased and had paid for according to the receipt. Good god! Horrible. It has been over 10 days since I submitted an order for my daughter. Finally received a confirmation on 10/11 (I ordered on 10/7). Their fine print says 4-5 business days for standard shipping. I called three days ago to find out when the package would be delivered and was told that it would be delivered that day to XXXXX address. WRONG ADDRESS. I said this is not the right address can you call UPS and provide the correct address. She tells me to call "because once it leaves our warehouse we are no longer responsible". WHAT? Who does that anymore? I call UPS they say the shipper has to make the call. Clearly Brandy Melville staff has no idea how to run shipping and take responsibility of their mistakes. I provided the correct address, there was no problem with my payment information... save the headache buy somewhere as their products are not so unique they cannot be found elsewhere and certainly there are much better companies out there that care about their customers. I had ordered some Rosa sweatpants about two weeks ago. They arrived today, yet Me being filled with excitement didn't even check the pants before I ripped the tag off. I continued to unwrap the packaging finding that one side of the pants had a rip the size of a quarter. I realized I messed up and had taken the tags off to early. I wrote an email, I called, I had a chat with someone all to be sent a simple email saying the tag policy was still intact with this situation. I'm beyond upset that I tore the tags off, although I am beyond pissed to know that sweat pants for $28!!!! somehow ripped and I wouldn't be getting a refund or exchange for a new pair. The packaging was a thin plastic, that was surrounding the pants. Very very pathetic for the amount you buy the pants for. I love Brandy Melville, but this store reflects poorly on the brand. First of all, your workers shouldn't be pretentious and stuck up, regardless of having had a "bad day" or being irritated at whiny customers. Your job is to service the people, yes, the customers should be nicer, you know the whole "treat others how you wish to be treated" sort of thing. But this is like an Ariana Grande diva issue, you can only use having a bad day as an excuse, so many times before you start to garner a reputation for being stuck up. I think the workers at this location believe they are better than the people shopping there. Personally, I don't believe that anyone is better than anyone else. But, this backwards mentality of treating your customers as if they shouldn't be in the store, is one that needs to be corrected. No one is expecting special treatment when they walk into a store, but they aren't expected to be treated rudely. Overall, I will have to assume that management is at fault for not taking these issues seriously. If you're not familiar with the brand, know that it's one size fits all. It's safe to assume that most clothes won't fit an individual who isn't a size small-medium. I wish they would put price tags on their clothing, personally it gives me anxiety to walk up to the cash register about to purchase an item, not knowing what the price is. The overall appearance of the store and its clothes were neat and orderly when I went in, I do wish they carried all of the items listed online, but they did not. I must admit the store lures you in w/ cool decor, loud teenage music & 100 young teens eagerly shopping, causing you to feel like everything in there must be "must haves." Not! 1 size fits all is baloney & the tables are full of piled up clothes that have been rummaged through & disregarded by so called employees. However, we did find that one "gotta have" cheaply made skirt so I proceeded to the 30 min check out line- literally! Now Here's Where I Got Really Peeved!..... While standing in line, an incredibly loud, vulgar rap song came on which included the B word, S word, N word & a chorus that repeatedly shouted, "You wanna F*** that!" Not quite sure of what I was hearing, I looked around to see other shocked moms escorting their young teens out of the store- I quickly did the same! However, upon leaving I did notice that the singular checkout employee was totally unaffected by the offensive lyrics. When I got home I called BM mgt & told them about my unfortunate experience. The reply I received was, "Oh yea, we've gotten that complaint before. We'll have to talk about that in training." That leads me to believe who's training who! That Complete lack of concern was almost as bad as that dang song! Here at BM they hire young girls with no experience or social etiquette probably to make up for what they didn't have in high school. Their brand is just a faze that will soon blow over. Everything you read is true regarding the poor quality of the clothes and the difficulty in finding anything in the store. The one size fits all concept is, of course, ridiculous. Most everything they had was actually too big for my daughter and she is a healthy, normal sized girl. I went into the store fully expecting to get a laugh out of the way the clerks act. They did not disappoint. It was like watching people in a play trying to act as if they care. I knew that if I asked one too many questions, they would not be able to control the eye rolling. I told my daughter that she would use her own money at the store so she had the opportunity to decide if she really wanted something or not. She seemed underwhelmed at the selection. The most entertaining part of the evening was when we went to the register. My daughter found 1 skirt that she liked. When we got to the register there was no line. First, the cashier, Kayla, pretended like she didn't see us. I expected that. After she was done checking out Facebook or Twitter or whatever, she looks up at us and says "I'll check you out in a minute." Then, get this, she walks away and goes to the back of the store and disappears behind a curtain for a few minutes. Now, normally, I would just leave. However, I wanted my daughter to get the full effect. My daughter turns to me and says "Where did she go?" Good question. I do feel like I have to give Kayla credit for at least being real and not even trying to act like she cared. Wow . . . I really just took my daughter here so she could get it out of her system. In that respect, the trip was a success. So for the Moms out there - take your daughter to Brandy Melville . . . not for the clothes mind you. Take your daughter so she can see how ridiculous a business can be. Take your daughter to see a store whose entire business model is geared toward reducing your daughter's self-image; from the one size fits all concept to being subjected to treatment by employees who don't care. It was a wonderful learning experience. My daughter was actually laughing at the way the girls acted. We talked about better ways to treat customers. First time I was here was in 2013. I recently came back on Valentine's day since I was in the area and the service is still the same. The store was semi empty and the only two girls working were behind the counter. No welcome greeting , nothing. While i'm the type of shopper that likes to be left alone, their absence and lack of wanting to be there made the store kind of sad. I'm sure this isn't what the brand is about.. right? On 2nd glance the line consisted of teeny boppers... looked like a line for a Justin Bieber concert. Not the smartest business dealing on their part considering I would be spending more than the value of the exchange; but that's what happens when you hire a bunch of dimwits. I had to explain that the other girl said it was ok, but she still didn't want to make the sale.
