Don't be confused by their Japanese inspired items - Miniso is actually owned by a Chinese company, and because of this, some of their things are cheaper than similar Hello Kitty items you may find at Sanrio. The best time to shop at Miniso is when they have sales or clearance items. They mark down their prices by a lot! Miniso can now be found at most malls and shopping centers in our area. However, I feel the entrance and layout of the Irvine store is a bit different than the other locations I've visited. Upon walking in, the aisles are very narrow. It is not easy to get inside or exit out of the store if there's people standing in the front. The store itself is very clean and organized. The staff didn't really acknowledge any of the customers - they all just looked bored. Surprisingly, my daughter did not find anything that she liked and we thankfully walked out empty handed. :)

This set was a "Sold As Is" table and 6 chairs for a very low discounted price. I asked Tamara if this was the only set at that price and she said "yes." I told her that my mom may be interested in it for her house, but my mom wasn't with me at the time. Tamara instantly explained that they can't place anything on hold for anyone, and that if I (or my mom) liked the dining set then we should buy it ASAP because, for example, people that saw it yesterday (or last weekend) could be coming back to the store again later today to purchase it, and then it would be gone. This was a $1,500 dining set with 6 beautiful upholstered chairs, and the entire set was marked down to only $586.00 plus free delivery. I appreciate how Tamara was instantly honest and straightforward with me and explained the situation. Not to evoke fear, but to waste no time explaining the situation to me, which I appreciated. This was a flawless showroom piece in great condition at an excellent price, so she wasn't kidding. The way Tamara was looking out for me kinda reminded me of my late grandmother, who always "told it like it is." I instantly called my mom and had her drive to Irvine to come look at the dining set. Again, I instantly felt like Tamara was on my side as a team player, not a sales person. In the 20 minutes I was waiting on my mom to get to Irvine, Tamara was by my side at the table, helping me to hold down the fort so that no other interested party could come and potentially buy this dining set out from under me. While we were waiting on my mom to arrive, Tamara even helped me to exam the table and six chairs to make sure there were no scratches or defects, since this floor sample would potentially be what my mom ended up with in her home. We went through the same process again, yet the mechanical part of the sofa is still broken, and apparently nobody cares enough to actually resolve the problem. I am extremely disappointed in such a large company. The lack of customer service, accountability, and professionalism is unacceptable. It is truly unfortunate to see a company of this size being managed so poorly. I came in for a sectional and ended up getting the sectional plus a dining set and a media console -- the sales team was knowledgeable about every piece and helped me understand the construction quality differences between lines.
