I would recommend this place to anyone that wants an excellent dining experience. We came here after we found out that Harvey's at Henderson Inn was closed for spring break. Looking on Yelp we found this place. Kelly at the front desk was able to get us in. Thank you so much!! The service was amazing. Tammy, our waitress , was very courteous and helpful in helping us decide on what to order. Often checking in to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Totally love the ambiance. The pianist really added to the atmosphere. Very talented. Chef Lance even came out and chatted with us. What a cool guy! Not only an amazing chef but also an artist as well. His masterpieces adorn the walls further adding to the atmosphere. The food was exceptional. We had the Chilean sea bass , special of the night , and the lobster appetiser. DELICIOUS. This place is a definite must for dinner, when in Hendersonville, and actually a reason to come back to Hendersonville. Five stars most well deserved. read more

Unless you're a heterosexual white couple, you might as well try eating somewhere else. On two consecutive nights, the older lady at the front door refused to sit me and my partner. Mind you she watched us hold hands through the window and when we attempted to enter she stopped us and then flipped the sign to closed. She didn't apologize nor explain, she flipped the sign and closed the door. There was no way this location was closing as it was only 7:45pm on a Thursday. Assuming that event was a single event, tonight (Saturday), as my partner and I attempted to eat dinner there; The same lady told us there was zero space available although there were two very obviously empty seats at the bar. She then referred us to go to the bar next door which is very clearly a lesbian owned and operated bar. It's sad that a small community like Hendersonville has people like this woman openly stopping people based on sexual preference. 0/10. I do not condone business's that advertise inclusivity but when faced with diversity cower behind a "closed" sign. read more

I understand the choice for great restaurants is not abundant in Hendersonville. But to give this place five stars is just beyond our comprehension. Is it truly bad? No. Is it good? No. I am sixty five and it just seems like my 85 year old parents would be more comfortable here. Spent our 21st Anniversary at Brandy's tonight. It was their first day back from taking a brief holiday. Hubs mentioned that it's our anniversary when he made the reservation and a little blackboard on the table said "Happy Anniversary." Our waitperson was Michelle. She was pleasantly observant of our every need. We ordered salad and lobster bisque, before our main course, and Michelle accompanied these with a glass of champagne. Delightful! Wayne had a lobster and shrimp pasta dish and I had the daily special - fresh halibut with scallops, white asparagus, and hollandaise on rice pilaf. Love the atmosphere! The menu items are fine and welcomed. Unfortunately, the service and food quality fall short. Our waiter spent little time with us and when he did briefly drop by, seemed quite curt and frustrated if we asked any questions. When we received our food, it was warm, but not hot. The steaks were not prepared to ordered temperature and the side items were not fresh. The waiter seemed quite offended after he solicited our honest feedback. The fish was better prepared than the steaks, but definitely not fresh. We are all sorry to say, that the celebration of our special occasion was pleasant but not an enjoyable experience. There are so many great choices of restaurants in the nearby area that without significant improvements, I do not foresee a return visit to Brandys On Main. Very disappointing. read more

Brandy's on Main is my very favorite restaurant in Hendersonville. Their entree dishes are unique and have so much flavor, you can't go wrong with any. Perfect Ambiance for a romantic birthday dinner. Service was fantastic and food was perfectly delicious. The filet was the most tender and perfectly prepared I've had anywhere in a long time, melted in my mouth. Stopped at Brandy's for an early dinner while on a weekend trip to the Asheville area. Given the early hour we were the only people in the restaurant and were seated at a high top in the front window. I ordered the Trout Alamaia which was NC farmed trout topped with seafood florentine and served over rice pilaf with hollandaise. It was good but not as good as the trout I had at other restaurants in the area. My dining companion had the French onion soup which was 5 star. The broth was delicious without being too salty. The service was excellent, as I guess could be expected when you're the only person in the restaurant. read more

They offer a thick cut filet with excellent sauces over rice. If I don't get that, I generally with get The Mose, which is a mouth watering lobster/shrimp pasta dish. It's not huge, but that's fine because it is very rich! Do not overlook their creamy garlic dressing. It's homemade and delicious. We have 3 top tier restaurants here: Brandy's, Seasons, and Postero. We had our anniversary dinner here while visiting Hendersonville. The ambience, service and food were on point for the evening. Low lighting and linen tablecloths gave that upscale vibe. The pianist played an eclectic selection of music, but I'm guessing that's a reflection of who he is- I've never seen a bright purple tuxedo with tails with a "puffy" shirt before! The food was delicious- NC trout and ribeye done perfectly medium rare. The key lime pie was a tasty finisher. (One suggestion- given the ambience they have created, it would be nice if they asked the guests to remove their baseball hats while inside. I know it's Hendersonville with a chill, outdoorsy vibe-but in a restaurant like this, there's no need for the hat. read more

The Filet Mignon was tough and chewy and overcooked, and the French Onion soup was mediocre. I sent my meal back because I could hardly cut the steak with a steak knife. The Chef came to my table with the filet in a bowl and started chastising me for sending the meal back to the kitchen. I told him that my husband and I had both tasted it, and we agreed that it was tough and overcooked. He grabbed the bowl and stomped away. I was so embarrassed because we were dining with friends, and I was so upset even after I got home later. This was our first visit to Brandy's On Main, and we will never go back. read more

They have changed their dinnerware, so you think you are getting a big portion, when you are actually getting a lot less for the same price and higher. We went for our elopement dinner. Arrived early with a no problem no worry smile. We were greeted by the owner who sat us at the bar. A lovely couple we just met paid for our wine and mule! We proceeded to our table which was decorated specifically for us. My husband had steak and I had fish. We were so tired I don't recall the names of the meal. We went to Brandy's for our anniversary hoping to experience what many others commented on was an excellent meal. Greatly disappointed!! My wife and I ordered the onion soup---very few onions and not very flavorful. I ordered the Sleepless in Seattle Dinner--The shrimp were small and tasteless and the lobster meat was measly as there were only 2 or 3 tiny pieces---the sauce in the dish was very disappointing. My wife ordered trout with blue crab---the crab must have gone missing---maybe there was a teaspoon or less of crabmeat coated over the trout Usually when it is a special occasion the restaurant offers a complimentary dessert---none offered here The service was fine but the food was super disappointing----certainly not worthy of any fine dining establishment Very overpriced and underwhelming---$100 for onion soup for two and 2 sub mediocre dishes with tax and tip--left hungry and very underwhelmed Will not return to Brandy's read more

It is hard for us to do this and here is the but, we must. This is not the first time to visit this restaurant we always give a second chance. Our dinner last night was awful. Note we will not go over each item but none were eaten completely because they were compromised with sub par ingredients or less expensive ingredients that make the experience of enjoying an evening out a disappointment. We drove an hour to get there. We also understood Hendersonville NC is a draw for its location but this place should be avoided. Sorry, we support all local businesses but as they don't want to be disappointed by us, we can not be disappointed by them once again.
